I purchased this intake and the install instructions say a few things that aren't mentioned here.. 1. It requires running 91 octane. 2. Instructions say if you don't recalibrate PCM, it will void warranty. 3. You need to close spark plug gap to .025 - I have an email into whipple support to inquire about these items. What's AT's stance/understanding of these items?
Where in your instructions does it say that? Mine cane with a standard 8.5x11 sheet and it said none of this. I've been running 87 and no issues. About a 2-3 mpg increase actually.
You guys completely forgot to include the included aluminum tube that goes by the turbo inlet. Really should re-upload the video with that included and also get rid of him saying "textured black powder coated finish" while holding up a plastic molded part thats definitely not powdercoated lol.
@@HasbullaTheGreatest Bro I did! It goes in the driver side turbo inlet. Just remove the vac line, put the tube in with the slotted side facing the turbo, then reconnect the line on top of it. Havent had a single problem on my econ tune or performance turn since doing this.
@@HasbullaTheGreatest Took me forever to find out where it went. Ended up finding it on a video for a different intake than I have but it all worked the same. Glad I could help!
1 out of 3 wrenches then he busts out some armrest tool I've never seen before. What happened to people literally sitting in the engine bay while doing mechanical work. Don't turn ford owners into snowflakes please

It would be very helpful if you dyno tested these intakes after you installed them.
Need to dyno parts after install
You need to dyno for the cold air intake?
Where are the dyno numbers? Hard to believe with out it

Can you guys do a test drive for the sound quality because I would like to know if the whine is worth it
You're getting a CAI because of the whine? Are you in high school? How high is your lift? Sounds like at least 6" lol

Do they make these for 2018's as well?
We currently do not offer an option for the 5.0L V8 currently by Whipple. Sorry! -Zach
@@americantrucks its the 3.5 ecoboost just in a 2018
Does this still fit a 2018 Ford F-150 3.5 ecoboost?

Did you ever figure it out? Same issue here

What?! At 6'5 285lbs, I don't want to lean/sit in the engine bay.
You could not fit a 3yo kid in this engine bay lol..
