The trick with the S10 headlights is to mount them before you put the grill back on so you can slide the two tabs on the back in the two slots. The fitment always drove me crazy until I figured that out. This info is just for people who may not know to do that and think the lights don't fit right.
mossman381 lol good good! I may've already mentioned this but I've got a Red 96 or 97 4WD Blazer that's complete and running awaiting its death to the scrap yard if you need any random items -as if GM parts aren't a dime a dozen but I figured I'd put it out there.
I'm thinking about these very same lights for my S10. I'm going for more of a modern factory look, so I'm looking at a set of fully chrome lights. The black ones do look nice, though.
+GrnArrow092 Those lights were pretty good. The LED lights did good the whole time I owned the truck. The lens did fall off but I just used silicone to glue them back on. After than no problems.
Lights and grill look awesome! I was wondering why the LEDs on the bottom weren't that bright, then you turned it on and they were brighter, like you said, there was more power running through the wires. The head lights are halogen right? You putting on led taillights and black rims? Looks awesome!!!
The turn signals were not the brightest until the truck was running. I need to do the big three mod. Black rims and tires are already on the truck and I have some led taillights waiting to be installed. But you are going to have to wait for those vids :)
@@21titansrock It would have been eBay. I go amazon these days but it might take awhile to get parts right now. This was awhile ago so don't remember the seller. Most of them are all made by the same China company anyway.
Right now I don't plan on doing any hard core offroading. So open diffs will stay. If I keep it long enough it might get a v8 and a posi rear end. But that would be awhile before those happen.
Those headlight housings copy OEM and are designed for Halogen bulbs only, HID and LED should not be retrofitted as this will emit diffused light going everywhere, blinding oncoming drivers.
All the new cars especially the new Cadillacs blind me at night with their fancy projection headlights. Brighter headlights means you will blind people end of story.

There is partial truth to what you’re saying but only partial. There was a time when it was totally true but that time is long past. I worked for ANZO USA in Chino, California in the design department for headlight assemblies and I have also worked for HID Systems in Portland, Oregon, designing, installing and testing bulbs and headlight assemblies, light bars and automotive interior lighting. Whether you install old fashioned incandescent, halogen, HID or LED bulbs does NOT matter. The diffused lighting that you speak of blinding oncoming drivers has ZERO to do with what type of bulb is in the housing and EVERYTHING to do with the placement of the light emitting component of the bulb and whether the headlight assemblies are correctly installed and aimed. In the early days before many LED manufacturers figured this out, the LED chipsets were not properly placed on the shaft and were blinding everyone because of this. Many of the cheapest, most popular lights out there are manufactured and sold by people that don’t care about proper light diffusion and patterning. The quality manufacturers do care and properly space their light emitting elements. Put the arc of an HID or chipset of an LED in the same place as the filament on a halogen and you’ll have a nearly identical light pattern. Instead of blaming the technology used, put the blame where it belongs, with the cheap manufacturers that don’t properly place things and with the consumer that puts in inferior products and is too lazy to properly aim their lights.
@@biohazard_613 The problem is it's completely unregulated and the market is flooded with junk, we've got people who don't have a clue retrofitting bulbs and sellers who know even less, its a scourge on the road. How many people drive around with their LED's on high beam because the low beams are crap , lots ! ya flash em and they don't flash back cause they are already on their high beams and they are staying there, they don't give a shit bout other drivers.
That looks gooood
Thanks

I was able to get them back in without removing the grill, you can you just gotta angle it just right.
Thks for the tip, just bought a 2000 with a faded grill, so easy pop out and paint.
Well im a dumbass and thank you
Man, she's really comin together. One of the best lookin S10s ive ever seen - and I ain't seen too many good lookin ones! lol
I am no longer ashamed to drive this truck :)

ATCRyderX© I can't think of any part I need right now. All my interior parts are pretty good. I would like a leather wrapped steering wheel but will probably get one at the local salvage yard. Another thing I am going to pick up is a transfer case and rebuild it so it is ready to go in whenever. I need a tailgate but a Blazer isn't going to have that. I appreciate the offer of parts man. :)
mossman381 No problem. It'll be sitting around my lot for at least another month if anything springs to mind.
Just got meh a 2001 chevy s10 4x4 crew cab with cap. This was super helpful looking to make sum adjustments
Hey where could I pick up a set of those lenses
Going to have to get a new set of lights if you lost your lenses. They don't sell just the lens.
Muy bonito. excelente.
Saludos desde honduras
Did you order the color matched grill or did you have it painted ?
Ok. Thanks!

Look into the quad beam mod its so worth having. I see you got the new tires on.
I might do that after I get hid's. Tires are on but you will have to wait for that vid :)
It’s worth is
Amyome know where i can get this from
Here is a smoked version: amzn.to/3BudLxc
Looking good!
What's next?
Rims and tires. Should have a vid up in the next few days.
Do you have a link to buy the lights?
I bought these a long time ago. I can look for some that look similar to the ones I bought if you want.
Where did you get the grille?
Factory grille painted to match the truck.
@@mossman381 so just removed your grill and painted every inch and crevasse black?
Yes, here is the video: ruclips.net/video/e5RRXJQOxko/видео.html
Would help if you had item discription also.
Saw the tire!!! BF Goodrich KM2?
Yup
Great video. Think you could do a before and after shot?
Probably after I do the rims and tire video.

When upgrading to these new headlight did you have to do any rewiring?
No
Do you remember site or seller you purchased these from

Sharp.
Wow that looks like a new truck! Are you going to build on the 4x4 such as installing limited slip diffs and skid plates?
Right now I don't plan on doing any hard core offroading. So open diffs will stay. If I keep it long enough it might get a v8 and a posi rear end. But that would be awhile before those happen.
Nice!!
Thanks
Do they make custom headlights for the GMC Sonoma too?
I am not sure but most likely they do. Search Ebay.
there are some of these headlights for a 1996 gmc jimmy?
Don't know. I didn't look for a GMC.
Is the blinker more noticeable in real life or is there just that little light difference
The truck had to be running for the blinker to flash bright.
tires are on, lets see the vid
Patience my friend :)
nice. :) r u going 2 put led tail lights on 2.. ?? i love LED LIGHTS. :) LOL
Yup, I have them ready to install :)

o ok nice. :)
What lift do you have?
It was on the truck before I bought it but I think a 2" body lift. Not sure if the torsion bars were touched.

Does anyone know where to get the Chevy bump
If you are looking for S10 bumpers you can find them on Ebay and probably Amazon. Maybe even Summit Racing but they will probably cost more there.
Where did you get the grill?
Factory grille that I color matched.
Check the S10 playlist for the video.
Alright thanks
