I'm enjoying another one of your videos. I left a comment on a different video, this was before I found this one. I bought the MG ZS 5 weeks ago and still discovering what it can do. Thanks for your videos which are easy to understand. This car is a gem, I love it, the only thing I don't like is how wide and high it is at the front on each side, it makes it difficult to see when parking. Other than that, I can't fault it. Many thanks from Australia.
Hi Jerry, based on this video I’ve ordered the Z3 Excite today oh I’m in Perth btw! I’m wondering if there is anything unreliable about this car considering I’ve always had Toyota which never had any problems? The price is $AUD23K drive away with dark tinting thrown in, mats and rego. For longevity and resale is black ok? Lastly is there anything a city driver like me should ask for or be aware of? I’ve watched so many videos of yours thank you for your incredible knowledge especially with the multitude of gadgets!!
@@raghunathankunal hi there, I’ve been driving it since April and haven’t made it to 1,500 km and it’s first free service. It’s a very enjoyable car to drive both comfort and economical on fuel…actually I have no bad feedback to give you! Make sure you include the paint protection package because like me I can’t be bothered with soap, rinse and dry. This finish allows me to just spray with water and use a dry cloth!
The Question is for around $25,000 are you better off getting a similar used car like a mazda cx5 thats a few years old with no or little warranty but has proven reliability or the new MG ZS with a 7 year warranty but unproven reliability
Thanks for the comment. We have been selling this for 3 years now. They are pretty reliable based on our workshop figure. Whether you should buy a used or brand new vehicle, it comes down to personal preference.
I just ordered this car 🚗 Thank you so much for the review. But I found there is no arm rest. I hope they will add me one As they said they will try to add that one for mine.
l was thinking about buying an MG mainly because l can get a new car insead of a second hand at the same price and get a new car warranty, but my concerns is that it will have much more mechanical problems compared to a toyota or mazda, yes it has a 7 year warranty but will that cover the costs or everything that will go wrong, whats not covered in the warrranty like brakes that l would have to pay for. What will the MG be like after 5 years and 100,000 Kms , yes it will still be under warranty but will l have to take it in for repairs every month
How would you know 'it will have much more problems than another car" before actually owning the vehicle? These cars are the best selling compact SUVs in AU and NZ. If every one of them go in to repairs every month like you said, the dealership workshop would have exploded already.
Does this car feel large and heavy to drive? I’m currently driving a hatchback which is great for zipping around in. I want to upgrade to a small SUV but I want it to have that “zippy” feeling.
It doesn't feel large to me. Heavy to drive or not really depends on your needs and your previous vehicle's power. You have to drive it to feel if it is for you.
I really like your review and follow me to Even though I don't understand English well, it's fun and I love the New Zealand atmosphere. I live in Thailand

@@nattapongkanlaya5166 thanks again. Yes general motors are not in a good position in a lot of countries unfortunately. Holden was such a big brand in NZ and Australia unfortunately it is gone since last year.

Here in Thailand the same model has a 8 Speed Auto with a larger Display also comes with full size electric sunroof and electric seats
That's nice. In NZ and Australia we only have this basic model but you can always go to the high spec called MG ZST.
@@JerryPanandCars yes i think our high end model is the HS

7 years warranty should be a good peace of mind:)
The car has gone up by $1000 since I ordered it which is unusual.
Hi mate, could you share your feedback after 8 minutes of driving? I live in Brisbane.

HI Jerry. If you compare Mazda 2 vs ZS Excite which one is more reliable and better to drive.
Apple to orange unfortunately. Can't speak for reliability but Mazda 2 should be compared to MG3.

It's available as a genuine accessory in New Zealand. Not too expensive.
You can buy it..its aftermarket product from internet shops..cheap n good..

Hi, do you know if the 2024 model will have push start? Thanks
Not for this car
What if you need to drive up a steep mountain road, will it make it
In non-snow condition, it should be fine.
Hired one of these for a week not a bad effort for the money, although launch speed off the line is dangerously slow.
Yes. Launch from 0 is quite slow but for the price it does the job.
How about the sound system? Good?
Pretty good for its price. 6 speakers.

This car with speed alert when detected road speed sign when driving?
No

No, only rear sensors. You can get retro fit front sensors

1.5L
what about the mg zs essence
No longer available in NZ unfortunately. We have MG ZST range now.
