But if I book the tickets now, will there be any guarantee that the flights wont be cancelled before I travel ? In that case, the flight costs will shoot up in the last minute and will be expensive.

He’s been told that he can quarantine in Aberdeen itself and not in London even if it’s a layover, the condition is just to not exist airport. In case people have this doubt they can clarify it from their airlines :)

Hi Anisha! Hope you're well. Food is generally included in the ticket cost. In British Airways, I was allowed to carry 2 check in luggage. But just call their customer support to confirm the cost of additional luggage. Usually, if you add additional check in luggage before the flight - that's cheaper

Hi! Glad you liked the video. For October I won't suggest you to book hotel right now. Travel restrictions might change by the time you travel. You can review the restrictions 35-40 days before your travel date and then decide. If you cancel your booking at least 48 hours before checking in, you will get full refund. That's the policy right now. Please check the government website and booking T&C for the information in detail.

@@Dream_UK Yes, actually I also booked flight ticket before Visa through British airways, which I later rescheduled as we can reschedule our flight only once but for that also we have to pay the fair differences. So, even after rescheduling I had no choice but to apply for evoucher. Now, my total ticket price amount has been transfered to evoucher which I can use upto 2023 and I can also use partial amount of my total amount of ticket if the price of ticket is cheaper than before. If you will type British airways evoucher on Google you can see complete details.

What were the steps involved? Was there any fare difference that you had to pay extra? Hi! British Airways is offering this facility. I'm not sure about other airlines. You can discuss your query with British Airways over phone also. About the luggage, they told me the allowance would remain the same in the next flight after quarantine gap.

Since your flights are booked at the same time and quarantine period is included, you can take the same weight on next flight. I feel that PNR number will remain the same too.

There is no quarantine if you are fully vaccinated even if you are from red listed countries its only home quarantine please double check one can save quarantine expenses hopefully.

That's right. Official websites are expensive than other websites. I've been flying from last 13 years to various countries and I've never bought a ticket from the official website. In my last trip from UK to India via Frankfurt, Lufthansa was offering a seat for 3500 for business class while travel pack offered the same for 2700. So massive difference. You can even beat the price by calling an agent. Southall travels beat the prices by beating it by 5 pounds. Many sellers match the price and many beat it and they surely sell it cheaper than the official website. They buy seats in bulk. That is why they can sell it cheap.
Hi Joseph. That's very strange. I can't say about other airlines. But I compared the price of British Airways on the official website and on make my trip, I got cheaper tickets on the official website (2000 INR cheaper), that's why I added that info in my video. It's not false.

So, first of all, in the video I'm talking specifically about British Airways, and I have mentioned that clearly, I'm not giving a general opinion on the industry and other airlines. Secondly, I have done my research and the facts that I have mentioned with regards to my British Airways booking are 100% accurate. This is such an important point. The thing is even the officials seem to be confused. I guess the cost should be refunded but the thing is hotel quarantine is managed by a private company not the government.
As per the rules (as of 24th July) - If for any reason you need to cancel or amend your Hotel Quarantine, please contact us by telephone or email us 48 hours before arrival and we will cancel your booking in full. If you contact us after that time, a cancellation charge of £200 will be applicable. The remaining amount paid will be refunded to you. If you need to change your booking, please contact us to discuss the changes and we will do all we can to assist you.
You have to book your managed quarantine when you book your tickets. You can't enter the UK without booking a managed quarantine package under current rules.

You can try booking it 2-3 weeks in advance. So that you find the hotel on the day you plan to travel.

There is no quarantine if you are fully vaccinated even if you are from red listed countries its only home quarantine please double check one can save quarantine expenses hopefully.
That was not the case when I shot the video. I still can't find any rule that allows fully vaccinated travellers from red list countries to skip hotel quarantine. Where did you get this info?

That's right. Official websites are expensive than other websites. I've been flying from last 13 years to various countries and I've never bought a ticket from the official website. In my last trip from UK to India via Frankfurt, Lufthansa was offering a seat for 3500 for business class while travel pack offered the same for 2700. So massive difference. You can even beat the price by calling an agent. Southall travels beat the prices by beating it by 5 pounds. Many sellers match the price and many beat it and they surely sell it cheaper than the official website. They buy seats in bulk. That is why they can sell it cheap.
Hi Joseph. That's very strange. I can't say about other airlines. But I compared the price of British Airways on the official website and on make my trip, I got cheaper tickets on the official website (2000 INR cheaper), that's why I added that info in my video. It's not false.

So, first of all, in the video I'm talking specifically about British Airways, and I have mentioned that clearly, I'm not giving a general opinion on the industry and other airlines. Secondly, I have done my research and the facts that I have mentioned with regards to my British Airways booking are 100% accurate. Lastly, I'm just giving suggestion to others on the basis of my own experience and I'm not saying this is the only way to go about it (that's why I said it's a tip)

This is such an important point. The thing is even the officials seem to be confused. I guess the cost should be refunded but the thing is hotel quarantine is managed by a private company not the government.
As per the rules (as of 24th July) - If for any reason you need to cancel or amend your Hotel Quarantine, please contact us by telephone or email us 48 hours before arrival and we will cancel your booking in full. If you contact us after that time, a cancellation charge of £200 will be applicable. The remaining amount paid will be refunded to you. If you need to change your booking, please contact us to discuss the changes and we will do all we can to assist you.

You have to book your managed quarantine when you book your tickets. You can't enter the UK without booking a managed quarantine package under current rules.
You can book flight tickets and hotel quarantine separately. But hotel quarantine needs to be booked before you fly.
