    I have tge same Van. I do a similar routine to you but not so often. Mind you, I would never drink the water from the tank unless it was boiled first. I use a Brita Jug for drinking water which I fill from the the mains water on site etc.
    Good job on the window seal except its best to start at the middle bottom so that any water that may get in drains away rather than getting trapped.

      Hi…thanks for your comment! Yeah, we don’t drink from the water tank directly. We have 2 water bottles with filters (y’know the type, where you could literally take water from a river and be ok). Other than that we boil the water for cooking pasta etc. Thanks for the tip regarding the window seal. We’ll see how it holds up when we go on our trip at the end of the month - fingers crossed! 🙂

      Awesome!! We hope you have lots of adventures in your camper...Have you named your van yet? We’ve just got back (literally today) from two weeks away in Basil, so we’ll be editing all our footage into 3/4 videos soon. Stay tuned!! 🙂

    The gap in the seal should be at the bottom. At the top it will let water in and that will collect behind the seal n seep. Thru the screws

      Hi….Thanks for the comment. Yes, you’re not the only one to have mentioned this. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. We’ll do it that way next time 👍

    Arrr, thank you so much .
    We tried him out last night .was a little tricky as we realised it's definitely not like driving any of our cars, lol .
    Douglas being 35 years old, the gearbox is quite tricky to manoeuvre, nothing wrong with it, but you have to take it out of gear to put it in each gear , Hope that makes sense .
    Also, we drove at night after louis finished work. As it's an old camper, the back lights on the dash are naturally dimmer, so we had to really look to check the speed .
    Coolant light has come on , so we are going to get that checked today .
    Have a great weekend 😊

    Thank you for a very informative video, love the tips. How many times do you fill and empty the tanks with fresh water to flush out the puiriclean? I have the exact same van as you, I'd love to see a run though of how everything works with and without EHU and perhaps one on how the maintain the blinds and replace curtains? Thanks again, much appreciated.👍

      Hi…thanks for the comment we’re glad you found the video informative. To answer your question, twice. After leaving the Puriclean to do its work (a couple hours, but over night is best) drain it through then fill with clean water and flush twice. Perhaps we’ll do another video sometime to cover the curtains and also covering how we use the van with/without EHU. 🙂

    We have the same van and trim issues. In that clip emptying the fresh water did you empty the water heating also if so how. Thank for a great video I've just ordered the trim! 😊

      Hi…thanks for the comment. In regards to the water emptying (water heating), we touch on that in our ‘Full Van Tour’ video (at 4:20 approx). However on the bottom left corner of the vent there is a big plastic screw which you need to remove with a flat head screwdriver. A word of caution…It squirts water very fast, so stand out of the way (and have a bucket to hand because there will be a lot of water - even when you think it’s empty!).

    Hi .I've only just started watching your videos and they are great.
    My partner and I are looking at two campervans this weekend .
    A 1993 talbot express ( Rambo ) .
    We gave quite a few questions to ask them and also we will obviously take a good look over them .
    Would be most grateful for any suggestions on what to ask , where to look on the van .

      Hi thanks for the comment…..Sorry in the delayed reply. We thought we had posted a reply (but obviously hadn’t!). I’d look for any obvious rust under the wheel arches and check the MOT history online. How did your viewing of ‘Rambo’ go?

    • @debbiejones6964
      @debbiejones6964 3 месяца назад

      @@theealesadventuresthe viewing of the talbot was not to good .the inside of the wheel arches wgere crumbling and black smoke was coming out of the exhaust ( petrol ) , so we said no to that .we. bought a vw LT ( 1989) called Douglas😊 😊😊😊

    Does the fresh tank cleaner effect your stainless steel sink? Can you drain it down a street drain as think it has chemicals in? I was thinking of using food grade citric acid. Any thoughts on this. It looks like I have the same van as you. Do you drink the water from your tap? Thanks for all the info.

    • @theealesadventures
      @theealesadventures  20 дней назад

      Hi thanks for the comment/questions. The Puriclean is specifically designed for caravan/motorhome/campervan tanks. Although our sink isn’t steel, we’re guessing it wouldn’t affect it even if it was. We do drink water from the tap, via our filer water bottles as well as using water purification tablets. 🙂
