Liam we had very similar happen to us in Italy, they said we broke their wing mirror. We said OK let’s go to the police as we knew we hadn’t hit them so not suspecting a scam we thought they’re just crooked BUT this was in 2021. They weren’t happy with us wanting to go to the police and I must admit it scared the crap out of me. I put the phone to my ear and said I was calling the police. They got in their car and went. We were in a hire car not a camper, very scary. ❤️

I believe my parents got scammed several years ago in the South of France when a moped said my dad had knocked him off and damaged the bike. It was lots of money but my dad handed over the cash to repair it. I believe he went round doing this often. Lesson learnt. Don't hand over cash. Loved the Amalfi series. Thanks.

You've given me great comfort and joy and I'm looking forward to your next installments. Sending peace and love to you both😊🙏🌱💚
So good to see how happy and optimistic you are compared to a few months ago after your difficult times when you you had problems with the garage. You have shown us the meaning of resilience.
There’s been a situation in Portugal car parks, (which targets cars, not just vans!)where you come out of a supermarket to find someone accusing you of damaging their car and of course their car does have damage so it comes down to your word against theirs. They also demand money.
@@davemacpherson4752 The scammers referenced aren't going to take you to court for a 100 euro scratched car scam. They aren't even going to call the cops. This scam is based on you being gullible and/or scared of them, and willing to pay them money on the spot. Call the cops and watch them flee.

Thanks for the highlighting the latest scam, don’t need to go to Europe to get scammed 😢, plenty of scammers in the UK, would recommend having cameras on your vehicle.

Liam and Janine I just want you to know how much I enjoy all your videos. Thanks for taking this 71 yr old Pennsylvania, USA woman along on your adventures. Can't wait to see what the next one is!
Good to see you both ❤ Thank you for sharing the info on this scam, I sent it to my parents. They are in their late 70s and drive through Europe to holiday in Italy. That would be such a horrible thing to happen to anyone, but to older people who are uniquely vulnerable, it would be dreadful 😕. Thankfully you have kept your vibration high and been well prepared and as usual you've attracted some lovely characters to you on this trip. I especially enjoyed the passionate fruit farmer, the lemon sorbet seller and the wonderful pastry chef who continued her craft despite not being able to taste anything. Incredible people really make a trip don't they? Who have been your favourites? People have given *you* some great hints and tips along the way maybe? Now you are paying it forward and sharing them with us! So much admiration for the way you grabbed the series of unfortunate events with the Morgan situation and have turned it into opportunities for an extra visit to India and the Camino, plus some amazing unique micro camping adventures! I'm SO excited to hear your new plans. You always make the best of everything so I know whatever it is will have me pumped to follow along! ❤❤❤ A boat?...a new van?...maybe back to Ireland?... Well, I enjoyed your adventures in a micro camper.. all the ups and downs and fun. Thanks for taking us along! Can't wait to see what you get up to next!! :)
Same thing happened to us last year in Northern Italy with a caravan. We were on a 10 wk, 10 country trip from Ireland. We were near Milan when we saw a car flashing us behind. Pulled in and the driver said we hit him on a roundabout. Pointed out a black mark on the caravan & a broken wing mirror on 'his dad's borrowed car'. Had a photo on his phone with the cost (€370) of a replacement. We totally bought it. Ended up giving him about €300. We were never happy about the circumstances (I'm an ex driving instructor & chauffeur) & this just confirms our suspicions. It totally soured our view on Italy & we would be VERY reluctant to visit again. Personally I don't wish karma on the c**t, I just know it will happen.
Love your positive attitude to everything you do. Thanks for sharing and producing such well-edited and well-thought-out videos, real pros. Can't wait to find out what you're doing next, I'm sure it will be fun whatever it is. Good luck.
This happened in Europe a few years ago, car overtakes you pointing to your car and when you pull over one man will show you the tyre which they stabbed at your last stop causing a slow air release whilst the other one robs your car.
About 3/4 of the way through watching, so many great tips relating to car camping also handy for van life I have saved this video to my reference list!

Really enjoyed this series! Great vlogs and lovely to hear your review on the micro camping experience overall. Many thanks once again Liam & Janine… can’t wait to hear what is coming next! Take care. xx ❤
I've found the little stoves that take the butane canisters to be excellent, so I'm not sure why they did not work for you. On a recent trip I cooked four breakfasts and boiled the kettle eight times on one canister, and still had a bit left. I do have a collapsible wind shield that I use, so maybe that has something to do with it? The canisters are cheap and you can buy them almost anywhere, even some supermarkets. The only problem some people have is the canisters can ice up in really cold weather, so you just keep one canister warm and swap it out if the one in use starts to slow up. In warmer weather it's not an issue. Works about as good as any other gas stove I've used. My best camping meal is a one pan pasta verde that I can make at the drop of a hat. That and a glass of red and I'm a very happy camper.
Butane becomes completely liquid (no gas leaving the canister, no pressure left) around the freezing point. So it's of no use in winter outside. A propane/butane mix or pure propane is better in winter, but I'm not sure you can get this in the necessary form factor. If you really cook a lot, it might be better to get a real cooker with a hose and a refillable (or changeable) gas cylinder. Small ones by "camping gaz" have 2,8 kg, the grey steel cylinders start at 5 kg and are even cheaper, last longer than your holidays and are changeable in almost every country. Using those avoids a lot of waste.
Happens in the services and aires as well. On our way to south east france around Bordeaux a couple of weeks ago when we had parked up, a guy put his head in our half open window and very politely said our car had smoke or vapour coming out of the engine as we came into the services. We locked the doors and said thanks but its ok, put the window up and did not get out of the car. We drove onto next services and i stayed in car while husband checked under the bonnet just to be sure. Of course it was fine but we were rattled because our car had broke down in the UK causing us to miss the ferry and spend a night in a hotel! Now we never leave the car together, always one person stays with doors locked and windows up and handbags etc. Are well hidden under or behind seat. Sounds like paranoia but its not as its happening all the time now. Such a shame its putting us off driving in Europe after many trouble free years.
Love all your travel vlogs, been watching for several years and I always so look forward to seeing what you’ve been up to. You are both so positive and inspirational, can’t wait for the next step 😊
I'm going to be wondering all week what you're up to next! Such teases. You are both the most positive people ever ,Im so glad you didnt get caught up with that scam. Cant understand why people think its ok to live their lives scamming people.
Thank you for the brilliant review of the equipment and products required for your car camping. Very practical advice! You both appear relieved to be going back home to the UK and that's a good thing! Always pace yourself though, and take each day at a time. It's back to yoga! Liam, tell us about how ur dad fared while in India recently. Hope he had as good of a time as you and Janine! 🙂
To get your sleeping bag back in the original bag is to just stuff it in, don't fold it, nothing just stuff a little bit at a time. It works every time. I used to work in a camping and fishing store and put hundreds of sleeping bags back in the original bags. 😊

Years ago while going back home from L’Estartit in 1993 we were a little convoy of six family cars with CBS each.We were warned not to stop if anyone tried to get us to stop by intimating we had damaged their car. A car came along the side of my husband and I, the driver was shaking his fist at us and throwing things at us from his car. We got onto our family via CBS and we boxed him in 😂 the look of shock on his face when he realised that we were all together. He almost crashed his car by leaving the motorway at top speed while we were all throwing food at his car.🤣 Still makes me giggle thinking about it.❤
Another adventure done and dusted and as always with you both fun and informative, thank you for sharing your up's and very few downs. Interesting to see what comes next. Take care and look after yourselves, Janine keep the jacket handy it's certainly cooler here!! xx
I have to admit I was worried for you guys at first but you seem to have taken to car camping quite well. I've followed your travels for a while and I don't think I have seen Janine look so at peace as she does right now. Its so sad that so many people are out to scam you at ever turn these days but i'm glad to see you are one step ahead. Stay safe and take good care of each other 😃
Why not use White Vinegar?! Ideal also for suacepans if foid is caught/ slighty burnt in the base. Add vinegar agitate , leave a few moments , put lid on and heat up . Wipe out with kitchen paper towel !😊😊
thank you for making this video, it's so important to get these things out there so hopefully others can do as you said, not stop or go to the police together. that is so sad that Italian's are doing that, I'm so surprised. thank you again.

It's all very bittersweet, ending this European trip that has been marvelous😢. However, the anticipation of what is next on your agenda has been able to off-set the tinge of sadness at saying goodbye yet again to Europe. We've come to look forward to your Sunday broadcasts as a real item of lazily awakening and kicking off the day😂. Can't wait to see/hear what is coming up next for all of us who join you! It's Been WONDERFUL!! So Guys get all rested up and rejuvenated for what is coming. Hey guys 👋 Really enjoyed this last few months of you travelling in the car…wasn’t what I expected at all. Look forward to what’s next…a boat maybe? Whatever it is I know it will be fun! Have a blessed week 🙏
That little lever next to the dial on your cooker, that needs to be in the UP position when not in use otherwise all of your gas will leak out. We have one and we use it everyday multiple times a day and we go through one gas canister a week. Also when you’re not using, remove the gas canister
Glad you had such a wonderful time but I have to say I'm relieved you have left Italy with all the volcanoes going off! Can't wait to hear news on your next phase of adventure :D xXx
I joined your adventures around the time when you were experiencing troubles with Morgan and absolutely loved your travels in India. I have been longing to do more travel in Europe and have been keeping an eye out for the right van (we have a dog so that is realistic to do with her in a way that has more logistical challenges elsewhere). Although I don't think microcamping is for us, I have absolutely LOVED seeing you both undertake this adventure, seeing the beauty of places a motorhome simply couldn't go. It's also been really nice to see you able to chill a bit on campsites too, which I hope also offered something relaxing and a bit different for you. Despite some of the challenges with a smaller space, as you said a few times, travelling to the places you did on this trip opened up a whole new world for you both that you couldn't access in previous vehicles and it has been so cool to see you do so many wonderful things, from parties in Ibiza to the gorgeous Amalfi Coast. This whole series has had such a cool, chilled vibe to it. Thanks so much for all the work that goes into these videos, it is always such a treat to watch them and to get some great tips and advice along the way!
Well…..as an experienced driver of Italy both in HGV’s and touring in a Ford Ranger every year both surprises me but at the same time it doesn’t. Clearly this is an ongoing problem, though never happened to me. Back in the day Northern Italy was very dangerous for us HGV drivers, particularly the area between the two tunnels and Turin/Milan. We nicknamed it Bandit Country. High value loads were targeted and your truck could be stolen just filling up or grabbing a coffee. A friend’s dad was once tied up and thrown in the trailer left for dead at Gran Bosco. Those days are very much behind us now, but the attitude still remains under the surface. We transit Northern Italy every year in the Ford Ranger, either going Blanc, St Barnard, St Moritz on our way to Puglia. Never ever had a problem. However if this situation does occur, and Iv got to disagree with “the police are useless”, call the Carabinieri NOT the Politzi. All my contact with the Carabinieri has been helpful and positive both as a HGV driver and in the Ford, the Politzi are just looking for fines (they once fined me for a dirty number plate) and not much help. Either call or go to the nearest Carabinieri station should this situation occur.
Shame on Italian cops who turn a blind eye to scammers. In this country that constitutes as aiding and abetting. Hat's off to you for highlighting the issue. Maybe if people took licence plates and reported incidents more often they'd be forced to take the situation more seriously. Would an airfryer or slow cooker be better plugged into your power bank or would that be to cumbersome and inefficient. Has the winner of Morgan been announced yet?
Keep going guys. Best doing it whilst your young, as the way things are going you are best carving your own life style out and make your own money etc. Good luck.
Sorry to hear that someone has attempted to scam you. Glad that you're back in the UK. Another great adventures of Janine & Liam vlog and love 🥰it. Love 💞 Janine & ❤ Liam.

Hi Janine & Liam we have been following your journey for a couple years now & really enjoy it. We were part time van lifers over 20 years ago, after living in Jamaica for 18 years we have recently returned back to the UK. We are planning to buy a motor home but the money isn't here yet, & was so inspired when Janine came up with the micro camping car that we went out & got one ourselves. we have been on the road in Europe for 5 weeks now. We did buy tickets for Morgan however we didn't win him! Looking forward to your next big reveal. One Love
I live in Southern Africa and overland across the region for 6 months every year and so I thoroughly enjoy watching and learning from similar work/travel experiences on RUclips. Of all channels I watch from folks across the globe I can't help but wince at the first world problems and solutions presented on this channel. I genuinely would love to see you both take on a circuit in my part of the world. Humans are never the ones to be wary of. I'm currently wild camping on the Zambezi valley near where the borders of Zimbabwe, Zambia and Mozambique meet and one worry is bumping into a territorial hippo when I want to take a leak.
Thank You ❤❤I’ve enjoyed every minute of your travels& your enthusiasm is so infectious - you both deserve all your ‘Happy Days ‘ & much more 🤗🙏love from India🌺

THE LEVER MUST BE UP AND THE DIAL TURNED TO OFF WHEN YOUR DONE COOKING. IF THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM YOU CAN START TO ENJOY YOUR CAMP STOVE MORE OFTEN BY MAKING SURE THE LEVER IS UP WHEN YOU TURN IT OFF. I HOPE THIS SOLVES YOUR PROBLEM.
Love the videos and your great enthusiasm. Brilliant you went through the pros and cons of micro camping, however one question and this coming from someone older than yourselves, what about the loo? Do you have a very tiny version on board or do you rely on nearby cafés, services etc? Many thanks and happy days.
Im glad things are looking better for you both, then again when things arnt so great you both still make the best out of life. Great couple, total adventurers & top you tubers. Well done guys and i wish you well with your next adventure. 👋👌
Nice vid with top info about the scam. Just a note on the gas hob. I live in my van and use a campingaz hob with similar gas canisters and I go through at most two cans a week and that's using it for cooking everyday and heating up my water for washes and doing my washing up. I thought that was brilliant. I can even usually slow boil a chilli for two three hrs and I've still got over half can of gas left.

Small ones by "camping gaz" have 2,8 kg, the grey steel cylinders start at 5 kg and are even cheaper, last longer than your holidays and are changeable in almost every country. Using those avoids a lot of waste.
THEY LEAK GAS WHEN NOT IN USE. LIFT LEVER TO DISCONECT CANISTOR AFTER USED.
@@MrGf3 Definitely. Safety first.
Can’t wait to see what you guys get up too next, always fun to see you both having fun and loving life 😊
Really enjoyed your adventures in the micro camper and I’m looking forward to seeing what you both do next!!😊
Thank you, can't wait to share big news on Sunday
Good morning Liam and Janine. Thanks for another great episode. Xx
Thanks for watching, here's to your Sunday 🥂✨️
Thankyou, you've opened my eyes to converting my Kangoo. 💚💛💚💛💚
Such good advice
He loved it! And might go back as he loved it so much 🇮🇳
To get your sleeping bag back in the original bag is to just stuff it in, don't fold it, nothing just stuff a little bit at a time. It works every time. I used to work in a camping and fishing store and put hundreds of sleeping bags back in the original bags. 😊
Love watching you guys- can’t wait to see what’s next ❤
Woooooo another Sunday to enjoy your vlog, I am going to be very selfish here, when I saw it was only 26mins my heart Sank! :( I could watch you both for hours lol, I know a lot of work goes into your vids which you can tell you in your editing, high professional quality :)

@@annachristinelindsay-jones4288 We have a EcoFlow Delta 2, 1 kWh power bank and use an air fryer with it.
Loved your micro camping journey, your positivety is infectious. So looking fwd to your new adventures ❤
Thanks so much! 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
Loved this trip across Southern Europe, especially Italy! Cheers for taking us with you. 🥰❤️🤍💚💐
Our pleasure 😊
The months flew by (as a viewer at least 😂). Excited to see what’s next for you guys.

Stay safe and take good care of each other 😃
Thank you, we honestly loved it, best summer ever so far
THANKS FOR SHOWING YOUR BLUETTI, I DID NOT KNOW THAT THE LIGHTER SOCKET COULD CHARGE IT WHILE DRIVING, AND I LIKE THE HANDLE.
Welcome back to uk. Cant wait for whats next! ❤
Same! It's actually very exciting for us too and next week we promise to share it all with you
Why not use White Vinegar?!
Ideal also for suacepans if foid is caught/ slighty burnt in the base. Add vinegar agitate , leave a few moments , put lid on and heat up . Wipe out with kitchen paper towel !😊😊
So informative and helpful as well as sharing what fun you have had. Amazing ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
thank you for making this video, it's so important to get these things out there so hopefully others can do as you said, not stop or go to the police together. that is so sad that Italian's are doing that, I'm so surprised. thank you again.
They may or may not be italian, but it doesn't cast a shadow on them for us as we loved all of their culture & hospitality
Watching your video is always the highlight of my Sunday 😀 . Can't wait to find out what you're getting up to next! Xx
Yay! Thank you!
I have loved watching you it’s been amazing. I’m in the Netherlands in my little camper heading down to Luxembourg, Strasbourg , Switzerland then Italy, I’ll be watching out for the scammers, fortunately we are three vehicles so we will stick together. Thanks for the heads up. Looking forward to what is next.
Glad you’ve had a great time in Europe in your Berlingo , look forward to see what you get up to next 😊
More to come! Thanks for watching & commenting
Thanks for sharing your micro camping adventures.Looking forward to seeing what your up to next.
Thanks for watching! More to come
It's been lovely, lively, interesting, exciting fascinating at times and always a real pleasure joining you on your adventure travels.
I will see you on your very next vlog!!👍
Until then hugs and kisses 🤗🤗😘😘 Take Good Care, Enjoy and above all THANK YOU FOR SHARING AND FOR ALL THOSE LOVELY SUNDAY MORNINGS ❤❤
What a lovely comment, thank you. Really appreciate the support and we can't wait to reveal what happens next, next week ❤
@@ThoseHappyDays I'll be there👍🌹 waiting in anticipation 😀 😘😘
Hey guys 👋 Really enjoyed this last few months of you travelling in the car…wasn’t what I expected at all. Look forward to what’s next…a boat maybe? Whatever it is I know it will be fun! Have a blessed week 🙏
That little lever next to the dial on your cooker, that needs to be in the UP position when not in use otherwise all of your gas will leak out. We have one and we use it everyday multiple times a day and we go through one gas canister a week. Also when you’re not using, remove the gas canister
@@melissamcgrath68 thank you
Glad you had such a wonderful time but I have to say I'm relieved you have left Italy with all the volcanoes going off!
Thank you for your videos. I have really enjoyed your 3 months of travelling.
Glad you had a wonderful time.
Glad you like them! Think you will love what we will share next week with you too, see you then x
Thanks for sharing your travels with us, I love every episode. And now I’m looking forward to see what’s coming next 😂
Glad you like them!
Great blog guys I carnt wait to see the next journey you are on❤
Thanks so much! 😊 we are so excited
We avoided it but were shocked to have met people who it has happened to not only recently, but multiple times to others. It's a crazy world out there mate
Another fantastic little bit of art from Janine. Look forward to your news 💃
Safe travels to you both & good wishes from Ireland 🇮🇪 take care 👍👍
Thank you! You too!
One Love
Love that you guys! You have a great flow to life, keep at it 🇯🇲💃🙌
I live in Southern Africa and overland across the region for 6 months every year and so I thoroughly enjoy watching and learning from similar work/travel experiences on RUclips.
Oh man! What a way to leave us- with a cliffhanger!!!! Oh well. . Can’t wait till the next video!
More to come! It's very exciting
Thank You ❤❤I’ve enjoyed every minute of your travels& your enthusiasm is so infectious - you both deserve all your ‘Happy Days ‘ & much more 🤗🙏love from India🌺
HELLO, I HAVE A BUTANE CAMP STOVE. I LOVE IT! THE UTILITIES IN CALIFORNIA ARE HIGH SO I USE MINE IN THE HOUSE A LOT! YOU COMPLAIND ABOUT THE BUTANE USE OF YOURS. I NOTICED YOUR LEVER WAS DOWN ON YOUR CAMP STOVE BURNER. IN THE BEGINING I USED TO LEAVE MY LEVER DOWN A LOT BUTANE SLOWLY WILL LEAK OUT OF THE CAN IF YOU DO!
Another great adventure. I appreciate your embracing whatever arises-inspiring.
I appreciate that! Thank youn
My Peugeot Expeet is a similar size and I live full time in it. I’m 6 months in and love it!!
Actually, Berlingo and Expert are the same kind of car. Both brands belong to Stellantis, they are sister models.
Your approach to travelling and life in general are great 🤩
Thank you! 😃
We use one of these gas cookers in our HOUSE. A canister lasts a LOT longer than you suggest.
Loved your adventures through Europe. Looking forward to the next one...
👋👌
Thank you so much! Can't wait to show you what's next 😍
@@ThoseHappyDays I'll look forward to your news.
👋
Nice vid with top info about the scam. Just a note on the gas hob. I live in my van and use a campingaz hob with similar gas canisters and I go through at most two cans a week and that's using it for cooking everyday and heating up my water for washes and doing my washing up. I thought that was brilliant. I can even usually slow boil a chilli for two three hrs and I've still got over half can of gas left.
I have followed you both since covid starter cant wait to hear your next adventure ❤
Thank you for following for so long ❤️👌
