    Seeing Bobby duke sit next to Alexis sit next to Bob is just overloading my ability to take coolness.
    It is just so amazing that so many people with so many different areas of expertise sit next to each other at a table and talk about their shared love of making stuff, you guys are awesome.

    The comments about pace. I think doing large projects but splitting them into parts would be great and well received with the community which also would allow you to take that extra time on projects. :)

    • @davinellulinvega
      @davinellulinvega 5 лет назад +1

      A bit like what Alec Steele does on his channel. One sword, 21 episodes all of them showing interesting parts of the project and problems he had to solve.

    • @jcapogna
      @jcapogna 5 лет назад

      Somebody like Alec Steele just does metalwork, so you're just breaking up a metal work video into many metalwork videos. Bob does a variety of things, so if he did a 12 video series on a single topic like welding, it could alienate the people who don't like metalwork and enjoy Bob for woodworking, 3d printing, etc. It seems like it's harder to do a multipart project on a variety channel, but maybe I'm wrong and the audience wouldn't mind.

      I believe April Wilkerson has done this, where for instance she made her wooden fence and split it into a few videos. So I think that is a good idea. So Bob don't shy away from big projects if you really want to do them. Give it a shot! :-)

    Regarding a shelf-life for being on RUclips -- certainly being able to connect with younger viewers are necessary for bringing in the huge crowds, but there is substantial value in content made by people with extensive life experience. Channels like Paul Sellers and the Essential Craftsman are awesome in no small part because of the knowledge and perspective they gained as part of their age!
    Your own videos have certainly benefited from your hard-earned experiences and there's no reason to think that that will stop. I look forward to watching videos from you on SOME platform when you turn 50, 60, and beyond!

    Hey bob, I have an idea of making a complete small workshop powered only by drill. Is it possible to make a sander, fixed drill machine and a small saw out of quite powerful hand drill ? .. There are videos out there in youtube that requires a metal work. Is it possible to minimise the metal works and build kind of cabinet ( can be different for all) for a small saw, sander and fixed drill machine ?

    Pretty nice, dude! 😃
    The first video I ever made for my current channel actually was never published, but I learned a LOT from it. So, some tips for beginners: first, make sure your cellphone or camera can record the amount of video you're going to record. Memory is a big deal mostly for cellphones, even more if you're going to edit in it. The solution in that case is to record in a not too big size. (In my case it was 720p.) Second, plan everything pretty well before even starting. Separate everything you're going to need an so on. During the filming, if you say something wrong you're going to have to repeat it, so leave a time space between each line. That way you're going to repeat only the last line, not the whole text... Personally, I don't write down everything I'm going to say, but if you think you need it, go for it. 😊
    BTW, my channel is in Portuguese. So doesn't bother looking - most of you guys wouldn't understand it. 😕

    • @HelloKitty-sd9vs
      @HelloKitty-sd9vs 5 лет назад +1

      Why is it in Portuguese? It's ok, I'm sure lots of people watch your vids! And good luck and try to get to 2 mil subs like Bob too! If u can

      @@HelloKitty-sd9vs Thanks, dude! 😊
      It's in Portuguese because I'm from Brazil and there's not much of what I do in my language... You know?
      BUT... I'm starting to record my videos speaking in Portuguese and English. Didn't edited any of them yet, but... Let's see how it comes out. 😊
