A little known fact. The off name brand things are frequently the name brand things repackaged. We shop, our list at Aldi first and. get everything we can first before going to the more expensive stores. 😉

It’s sickening that it’s so expensive to eat healthy. I love Aldi for everything except their chicken the wings are full of feathers and the bags of chicken are tough imo. I always get soups there. They are so much cheaper there than anywhere else. Also, most of my basic baking supplies (flour, sugar, chocolate chips, etc) I get there. And I usually buy the Danish butter cookies!! I can't have eggs or soy and they are the only ones I've found that don't have either. They are super good. As are the vanilla wafers. Also, their knock off cookies (that you asked about) are amazing! I think the fudge stripes are better than name brand ones. I've never tried the chocolate with cream knock offs because I'm a die hard Oreo cookie fan... I can't help it. Most of these things I can't eat anymore because of my allergies, but those are my thoughts from before I did allergy testing.

There is very little that I don't like from Aldi. I can spend so much less and spend less time (because I don't go down the aisle of shame). Many people have said stuff about their meat, however, I think they have some of the best tasting chuck roast. My kids always loved their cereals, staples are great - ketchup, mustard, mayo, oatmeal, flour, sugar, etc. I still prefer name brand chocolate chips, but will use Aldi brand when I need to. My Aldi used to even carry Kerrygold butter. :) I'm like one of the other commenters - go to Aldi first, what I can't get there, go somewhere else (Walmart or Target). There are couple of things I can only get at our highest priced grocery, and we don't have Trader Joe's within 2 hours.

I work in an Aldi store in FL (not for) and I know from managers that the no carb bread has been out of stock and people have been wanting it forever.

ALDI cheese pizza is AWESOME! Their cereals are so good too. My children prefer them over the national brands...except the Pumpkin O’s. DONT BUY THEM. They taste like plywood. Lol! Their ketchup is just as good as Heinz. Their biscuits are good too.

vanilla wafers are cheaper at Sam's(5.00) or maybe Costco. The cereal is OK its hit or miss the biscuits are good. They have an amazing return policy so if you don't like it you can return it.

The cookies taste better than store brand. Especially the chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies, and the coconut cookies. Plus no artificial stiffer

We don't have trader Joe's, however I get our buttery crackers, bread, salad, a lot of stuff from there at Aldi. I kinda know what I need from the three stores I go to. The sour cream and cream cheese is a must from there. I can't believe how much more it is like from say Walmart!

Please note that Trader Joe's brand promise is that all their food is free of GMOs. That is a value in my opinion. Their organic stuff is always way cheaper than Publix!
The things you bought can't be compared because you bought completely different things. I shop at both places and buy different things from each place.
Trader Joe's Must have: organic heavy cream, bags of apples, brussel sprouts, riced cauliflower, spinach, can goods, chocolate chips, marshmallows (they are Kosher from TJ and not from Aldi which is important to my family)

I go to the stock up store first. I am from Chicago and I grew up with Aldi’s and so did my daughter so yeah that tin can of danish butter cookies are the bomb. So I am and alabama and we have the store so yes ma’am I hit it first before any store. But I buy frozen veggies but that’s just me. The cream cheese is great because I bake pound cakes and you can’t tell the difference.

I quit buying whipped cream cheese and yogurt because my husband kept telling me I’m paying for air🤨. Now I just buy regular and use less cream cheese. Now use a light n fit yogurt.
