CLIP DESCRIPTION:
As he is studied by an evil scientist, Electro (Jamie Foxx) learns his true strength.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The web-slingin' wall-crawler hits the screens once again in this follow-up to Marc Webb's 2012 reboot of the series. Andrew Garfield returns as Peter Parker, who squares off against the villainous Electro, played by Jamie Foxx. As the film opens, we find Richard (Campbell Scott) and Mary Parker (Embeth Davitz) stealing away with some crucial Oscorp files while leaving young Peter in the care of Aunt May (Sally Field) and Uncle Ben. Flash forward about a decade, and Peter (Garfield) is swinging into action as Spider-Man; having successfully thwarted the hijacking of an Oscorp truck by notorious Russian criminal Aleksei Sytsevich (Paul Giamatti), Peter ditches the costume just in time to meet up with Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) at their high school graduation. Despite his deep love for Emma, however, Peter remains haunted by his promise to her late father not to get emotionally involved with her for fear that she could be targeted by Spider-Man's enemies. Meanwhile, young Harry Osborne (Dane DeHaan) inherits OsCorp and a deadly retrovirus from his father Norman (Chris Cooper), and brilliant but timid OsCorp scientist Max Dillon (Jamie Foxx) gets infused with a powerful dose of electricity while attempting to fix a faulty power circuit in the lab. Upon regaining consciousness, Max discovers that he has the power to harness electrical currents - the higher the voltage the more powerful he becomes. When a battle with Max in Times Square shorts out Spidey's web-shooters, Peter goes to work on developing a more reliable model of his signature weapon while Harry grows convinced that Spider-Man's blood is the key to his survival. Later, villainous OsCorp chairman Donald Menken (Colm Feore) steals the company out right out from under Harry, driving the vengeful youth to break Max -- now Electro -- out of the heavily-guarded Ravencroft Institute for a two-pronged attack on Menken and Spider-Man. The stage for that battle is set when New York City goes dark just as Peter declares his love to Gwen, plunging the wise-cracking web-slinger into a fight that could forever alter the course of his life.

Dr Kafka was an actual character in the Amazing Spiderman comics, however they were originally female and from New York if I recall right so I have no idea what decision making process led them to change her into a male, German, mad scientist type of character lol
@@timidhobgoblin207 Dr. Ashley Kafka is a fictional supporting character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, as well as multiple spin-offs and dramatizations of the Spider-Man titles. Ashley Kafka was inspired by therapeutic hypnotist Frayda Kafka[1] and was created by writer J. M. DeMatteis and artist Sal Buscema. Dr. Kafka works as a psychiatrist for the criminally insane at the Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane in New York City, and is a sometime ally of Spider-Man. Her first appearance was in The Spectacular Spider-Man #178 (July 1991) and the appearance of her death came in 2013 during The Superior Spider-Man #4 (April 2013).
Ashley Kafka has appeared in various Spider-Man media and was featured in the 2014 film The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

The tragic truth of this version of Electro is- Kick a puppy enough times, and the puppy will grow to want to tear apart EVERYONE.
Exactly it was inevitable.
Reminds me of what happened to Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck/Joker.
It reminds me of Selina Kyle by Michelle Pfeiffer from Batman Returns.
"A world without power, a world without mercy, a world without Spider-Man!" Say what you will, but that was badass on every level.
Dont you know. He’s ELECTRO!!!!!
Ok
That line is bone chilling
The electrical voice makes this better
Facts
It was only when i watched this part of the movie that i realized electro has a distorted voice of crackling electricity.
Yeah his vocal cords got burned, so they sound like that. But it sounds so cool!
He's talking through an electric fan
Get it?
It was just his backstory felt weak, his motivation was petty and his development to becoming a villain was too rushed. But man, his design and voice are just so cool.
Finley Simmons I love his voice it’s such a good voice effect
.
Unpopular opinion: I actually really liked Jamie Foxx as Electro
So do I (somewhat). Jamie Foxx is a Great Actor and I like his Design and his Theme (save for the Whispering). All they needed to do was to tone down how Goofy Max seemed before he became Electro and properly develop him further.
The Stereotypical Evil Mastermind I guess, but it felt like it was straight out of a comic book to be fair
How is it unpopular? Who didn’t like Jamie Foxx as Electro
@@z3bb374 apparently a lot of people
But this scene was really dumb
We should get Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield teaming up against the sinister six. Would be so dope
Benjamin Tyus and so much fanservice
How could we complain about this?
With this possibly being the last movie with the MCU Spider-Man, there would be no better time to make it happen
Shane Rose I read Marvel and Sony want to do 4 Spider man movie in the MCU
Yeah Tom Hardy's Venom should be part of it too
I wonder how badly the Sinister Six would get whooped by all three of them. If one Spider-Man can annihilate 6, they're gonna need more numbers
I see Electro as a good guy. He's just misunderstood.
Yeah I kinda feel like him, humiliated and invisible
If you see me, shooting people, because I thought they just went to sleep, would you think I was a bad guy?
Sandman in Spiderman 3 was a good example of misunderstood characters. Max is a villain, misunderstood at first but then he just stopped caring and went on a killing spree so that makes him evil. I do understand why he did what he did though
@@BXEmberz0109 right
I will do same in his place

'Gets shocked even if he is electric'
I think 98% of his body is Electric
how do you know he is getting shocked the dr could be draining his energy painfully
TasticX you know what happens if you keep giving him electricity he will blow up so it hurts him
oh ok thats why
And then Harry breaks him out by tasing him.
"Don'tcha' know? I'm Electro!" Is such a stupidly fantastic line. Like it's perfect cause it's dumb
Straight out of a 60’s comic page lol
It’s cheesy but yet satisfyingly badass
And it rhythms
Honestly, it would have been 100x better if he exploded right then and there no cause chaos in the city, but this movie wasted the perfect performances it had
fuc off its clever!! youre dumb!
Can't wait to see Spider-man (Tom holland) reacted to this Electro.
Well....
Andrew got a lot of joke...

Hell yeah!
@@Kuts_by_curtis21 Haha that's what i'm saying
Jamie Foxx returning really blows my mind but he just confirmed that he won’t look like this again.
Jamie Fox nailed it as Electro! This scene alone made me love Amazing Spider-Man 2 and I also love how they did Electro justice.
JW_Gojifan agreed
I have never disagreed with someone more than I do with you on this. This may have been the worst-written scene in the history of modern filmmaking, maybe ever.
He did!
I think they would have if he got more story focus I don't think he had enough emphasis especially for the main villain
How exactly is turning Electro into Spider-Man's yandere justice?
Jamie Foxx stole the movie with this scene. That final moment where he says "I'm Electro" just made me shiver.
anthony sunseri Jamie foxx was hilariously awful in this movie.
Rent My Ego no you’re just downright dumb
BraeGotGame i agree about Foxx being terrible
BraeGotGame I’m not agrue with u, because your clearly young
Well from the initial 2000s Captain America... The fact that villains have to be goofy, predictable, and/or cartoony to hold attention was killed by this man right here in this movie.
He goes from a person who is constantly helpless throughout the whole movie to a man who, when miraculously gifted, unlike his hero Spider-Man who was taken in by New York, he was ostracized and condemned one final time except this time it’s the ironic part that he is being held in an environment he expertises in mentally and now with his new power is intimately connected. No one is coming to save him, so he escapes the Nazi experimentations.
You seem him caged up, in his main obvious weakness, water, but the moment his ass out it becomes apparent that they are just pissing off something they, again, misunderstood. This scene was the scene that made me wonder “who would let him out?” Someone else, accidentally or intentionally or himself because he is uncontainable...
Before this movie I always saw the main villains in Spider-Man to be far-fetched off the edge version of themselves. Electro is a distinction away from this, he is a complete new person because of his power because he never wants to go back to being helpless but is intoxicated by that same drive that it leads him to follow the path of an oppressive Tyrant or dictator.
I remember watching this in the cinema, gave me chills - Jamie Foxx really outdid himself.
Electro is basically Venom from Spider-Man 3 except he is the one being manipulated by Harry to kill Spider-Man because he is the person electro wants that’s what makes him a villain he wants revenge on Spider-Man.
*Electro's angry speech is frightening. You can feel all your thirst for revenge and have nothing left to lose.*

I also agree!!
I really liked Jamie Foxx as Electro. I think though, that Jamie Foxx as Electro - and an actor - is too cool. So cool, that it is a bit weird seeing him come from Max, who is this really nerdy character
@Jaylen-Ree Wilson but he used it for revenge to those people who ignored him and treated him like an invisible guy
The way they changed his character in No Way Home I think is a much better portrayal.
Electro has one of the best looks and most of all sound effects, his voice and theme tune. Hans Zimmer is a genius.

Dude I know this movie wasn’t that popular, but Electro in this scene was so damn good! Seriously it’s so cool the way he said, “don’t ya know? I’m electro.” It sounded so ominous. I just wish he was written differently. I mean the way I remember Max was that no one paid any attention to him and he was invisible. They could’ve focused on other stuff at least like however they did in the comics.
