The thing is I don't know if the flour( soft flour, because that was what was available at the time) I used was a factor. I'll attempt again. Can you explain why I didn't get the white lines?
The most probable cause is high heat. To get white line the heat most not be high. Infact it will be hot enough for you to check with your finger and less bubbles when you put the doughnut in the hot oil
