Well made video and good info. I also have a 2022 Tesla Model 3 Performance. My experience is the same. Next car will 100% be the Tesla Model Y for my wife.
I’m looking at getting the model 3 performance in the same color! Looks great! Notice any usable range differences between the LR you have and the performance, since usually you should only be up to 80% charge.
It’s a great spec! My 2019 had a smaller battery than the 2023 so the range is actually about 20-30 miles more for me than my old one. The old one also had some degradation. Also you can charge to 90% each day without issue according to Tesla :) thanks for commenting!
As a diamond driver myself, I am sure that you are as well with the amount of rides you do, you are eligible for up 45% discount through EVGO which I use a lot on my MYP with the ccs adapter. Maybe this will help. Good video
Good question! I would say no, not at this point, because you still have to be there to monitor the car. One day they claim it will be able to do rideshare without you, and at that point it could pay for itself.
I want one so bad but got told I have to upgrade my panel at home and the long run of the wire combined makes it huge cost. Wish there was a better way for home charging.
Depending on how much you drive, you may be able to get away with plugging into a normal wall outlet. That should get you about 25-30% range in 10hrs, give or take. My mom charges her car like once a week so she could totally just use a wall outlet. Thanks for watching!
I am really, really, really, really wanting to purchase a tesla (either y or 3). Over the past 5 years, I have rented 3 different teslas on turo (m3p, model s p100d, model x p100d). I've also has 5 overnighters from tesla (regular model s in 2018, p100d model x, long range m3, m3p, and long range y). My top pick would be a model x plaid, but I can not afford a model x or s. So, 3 or y it is. Out of those my top pick would be a m3p. BUT, I can not stand how the driver's floor board is not completely flat for some reason. That lip is where I rest my foot, and it makes it very uncomfortable and my foot hurts after a while. The floorboard is completely flat on the y. So, I'll more than likely be getting a a y. I want the acceleration out of the performance version, but I definitely do not want those big wheels and do not really see any benefit in the few other things you get, either. Yeah, I can get different wheels..but that's more money obviously. I do not owe enough in taxes for the tax credit to help me, so that would be a waste. Rumor has it that next year it will just be taken off at delivery which would be great.. but I think they'll probably just raise the prices to reflect that :( I currently have a 2023 santa fe limited which I would be trading in. However, honestly..it rides considerably better than the model y, has more room, and it was cheaper. Plus, the driver assistance features work better (comma ai- openpilot - do not have to touch steering wheel at all as long as you're paying attention) than teslas. The model y overnighter I had last week had FSD and I wasn't all that impressed. I just don't know :/
I’m liking your videos but I watch all RUclips videos at 1.5x speed so it’s hard to watch RUclipsrs with music in the videos like this one. Very loud, distracting, and weird/choppy cause of speeding up the time.
Unlike your LR, this has summer rubber. Make sure you get winter tires for the Performance model.
Definitely!

Well I hope you are able to come to a decision that you’re happy with. Good luck to you!

Didn't think about watching at higher speeds. Thanks for the feedback!
Good video. Music a bit loud.
Thanks! Yeah I need to bring it down more next time
