Nice video, my wife and I visit rosarito every year and popotla is one of are favorite place to have lunch with all the fresh seafood, good work guys love your vids
What does a full-on, nice steak dinner cost down there? (not counting drinks). Looks like your getting somewhat local pricing, not "tourist" pricing in that town.
Thats beach is called popotla. Best place to go. Buy your fish and they have cooks there just tell them how you want it cook. For half the price you paid at rosarito or puerto nuveo.
Glad you didn't film this in Smell-A-Vision! You 2 are so brave. Don't think I could be so relaxed there. I wouldn't know who to trust. Guess that's why you're there living the life & I'm working too many hours in the "safety" of the oilfield. Thanks for the tour.
I have heard that the fish is fresh. But wherever there are fresh fish, there are going to be a few that are a little past it; thats often true on a beach. But I bet that the pelicans, herons, gulls and other birds, the sea lions, and, of course, the pig, take care of most of the older fish before they can go too bad. And the high tide takes care of a lot too, I bet. Chefs have done shows here. If it smelled bad, they'd probably not show the video they shot, since they'd be bringing tourists down from Southern California that would then resent the fact that they recommended the place. It would discredit them as food authorities! And look at the number of people who eat there; if it smelled like bad fish, most of them would not take the chance.
@@outliersoverland the Otay off the 905? Also have you been able to go again just not in the SENTRI line? I've seen 5th wheelers and trailers get stuck at the booths. Been to all those locations with vehicle alone. FYI Sentri is great to have but you cannot drive with any trailers of any kind. Vehicles that are registered with the person only.
As an adult I have never used the regular lanes at Otay. Just the accidental SENTRI line on this trip. Tecate is a consideration but the roads are tight and windy on the US side.
@@outliersoverland thank you. I will have to recon this weekend to check out those roads. Crazy roads is why we haven't taken our trailer to Mexico yet. So hats off to you guys.
@@outliersoverland Thanks for the reply. We've never been to Baja before and would like to see as much of it as possible in July-August. However, the temperature charts show highs of 95 degrees. My family can tolerate 80 degrees. Is the temperature okay for Baja's entire Pacific coast all the way down to Cabo San Lucas, or just northern Baja?
Hello this video is great and I wanted to ask if you by any chance still have any contact information in the polotla RV park. I know the video is a couple of years old but hoping you might be able to help,
Definitely take them into consideration. I am not up on the "latest" news, because I think the news is propaganda and bad for your health. We have heard there is a lot of bad activity in the La Paz area. Although we have RV friends that have spend the entire winter camping on a beach outside of La Paz. If gangs and cartel are targeting themselves, I would exercise good judgement as to where and when I would be out. If gangs and cartel are targeting tourists, I would take serious precautions and maybe avoid certain areas. At this time I personally would have no hesitations driving or riding down to Cabo. There are probably hundreds of Canadian RV Snowbirds starting to drive their way north from there for the summer months. Be safe and enjoy your travels.
Take my comment with a grain of salt but there's definitely something going on to cause the shimmering lines. I've also heard the terms "jaggies" and "moire" in relation to these effects. Frame rate issue perhaps but I'm no expert. Good luck✌️
The Mexicans know about the diarrhea US-Americans get from their water, so they take care to use filtered water and ice for us. It would not do, if a place that depends on word of mouth to attract business from the US, did that to their customers through carelessness.

Looks like a cool RV park in a great location. Thanks for the tip!
good stuff, ya'll look like your having a blast
That IS a boat-load of fish! LOL What a fabulous market. I can see that it will be difficult to leave.
I am so envious. Thanks once again for sharing your adventures. I'm pretty sure it's the only way I'll ever see Mexico again. You guys rock!
Linda Hyland --swim the river like they do, or possibly mule it across the desert
I like the length of your videos. Whenever I see a video is longer than 10 minutes, I'm less likely to click on it.
You must be from America ... The Land of The Dumb Low-Attention Span Tribe
Wow looks so different from my last visit in the early 80's

which gate or border did you cross through? Otay Mesa or San Ysidro?
On this trip we did Otay.

I been there befor and we went to the same beach
How difficult would it be to take a similar trip if you don't speak the language?
Have you ever gone down along Baja's Pacific coast in July or August? If so, how hot is it?
The Pacific coast of *Northern* Baja is a great place to beat the summer heat, it’s a completely different climate than the Sea of Cortez side.

Glad you help. Roughly Guerrero Negro North to Tijuana would be your target area. The weather is very unpredictable nowadays so nothing is guaranteed.

I think it is called Baja Seasons.
what are you guys driving around town?
In this video we have our motorhome st camp and drive the ATV around town.
😍😍😍😍😍
First off really enjoy the videos but the drone video still has squiggly lines in it. I think they call it aliasing.

Ocean is nice, bring a can of shark repellent and suntan lotion
Aren't afraid of coming down with Montzuma's revenge eating food & drinking drinks & the ice ?
