I really like how it quickly shows how the scale is made and the names of the chords for the main and 7th arpeggio. So nice to see how the base triad is formed from every other note and start with the base before going into the full regular arpeggio in each mode. Nice seeing what the notes are in context of the chords on the 7th Arpeggio. So it's concept upon concept. It really brings it all together. I'm going to use this with 2 string exercises for ascending and descending the fretboard in context of modes, and also as a foundation for beginning to learn Sweeps.
Sweep picking is easier in a way as the pick doesn't change direction much With alternate picking three note per string if when you change string and its an ascending scale you end up with an upstroke which to me is wasted motion. i naturally do down up down each string on an ascending string so i start down up down but the third string ends up directional picking. Ive somewhat resolved this by starting ascending scales lower to higher notes using an upstroke but if three notes per string i end up directional picking anyway. Doing decending runs i start with a downpick. I formulated this idea yesterday but i dont think there is an answer as it seems my picking hand goes to whatever is most efficient and going above the next string to do an upstroke is inefficient i could do it but i would need to slow down and relearn picking. Do you force yourself to play strictly alternate picking or do you directional picking? Ive found i use both my picking hand naturally goes to the way with the least distance and i let that happen as im concerned with speed and tone. This exercise today is great ive not done it something else to work on! What pick width do you use? Ive found using 0.88 to 1 mm is ideal for sweeps because the pick bends slightly so if the pick slant isnt ideal that doesn't transfer to either dropping the pick or the fretting hand.

Love these!
Thank you sir🙏🤘
hocam 7 li akor sweep için sağ el down-up picking dödüğü yerleri detaylı inceleme videosu çekersen çok güzel olur :))
Me: "Looks like I finally kinda mastered the topic sweeping"
Diminished Sweeps: "Hold my beer!"

Am I the only one who watched this video because of CHON?
What do you mean? I know they are a band but couldn’t understand the connection
@@OzzGuitar oooh. They incorporate the use of 7ths, 9ths, etc. and so some of us chon fans try to learn these things a more chon infused sound.
