Dunno what happened on the upload of the film, but it is way darker than the actual edit. Whoops! Here is the original: vimeo.com/378632163 - AND just to offer some clarity: I do NOT do this frequently at all. I use this technique 1 to 2 times a year in order to get a new portfolio piece that helps me justify new, higher pricing. 95% of my work is booked at my full pricing. I would never want to run a business that is constantly negotiating my worth. In this case specifically, I obviously wanted to work with my friends, they were literally at a point where it was going to be me filming at the budget they allotted or it would be nothing, and they booked less than 4 months away from the date, so there was almost no chance that I was going to fill that available date with a full price wedding. Should have mentioned this info in the video, but I was too excited to get back to RUclips and share this lovely film. Anyway, I love you all, Squad Fam! You're the best!
Damn. These are the type of wedding films I love! Not boring, very cinematic, tell a great story, and I love the added 'acting' parts. The canoe sequence, the cooking, talking by the fireplace, etc
Dude. This just got recommended to me again, 3 years later. I've seen it before, but it still holds up and I'm still holding back tears! Inspirational cinematography, editing, and story telling!
I am a 32 Year Old Guy , sitting in front of my Lap Top and watching this Video of two People I never saw, I never met , I never knew . Hearing their Words , seeing their Emotions .. Feeling like I have been their on their Day .. I got Tears in my eyes cause I could feel the Love that is coming from them .. The Words they say to each other brought my goosebumps Eric , THIS is the best Wedding Film I have ever seen !! Well Done , well done.. I wich them all the heart warming words they told each other - I hope they will Build a Family together and raising Children with their Mindset and warming ness they have shown in your Video.. Well Done !!
I feel like I just watched a movie preview and now I want to watch the movie of their life!!! Incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEST VIDEO ON RUclips! I was blown away on how well you captured them as a couple and how well you allowed us, the viewers to get to know them!!!!!! Perfection!!!
I can't believe what I just saw... This in itself is a short film... This made me happy and joyous, it brought tears in my eyes at the same time! I'm delighted
I am a bit puzzled: - Why was this wedding so special you know it would be your best Portfolio piece? - why did that mean you had to take not the full price? - from now on every video you produce should be as good as this, because clients book you because of it and want the same, doesnt that backfire and stress you out? - how long did you take to edit the 1TB footage?
If I had to guess it’s probably because he knew the couple and that the location would add some extra production value. It probably allowed to film over multiple days with a couple he was comfortable giving direction too. It’s hard to break into a new price point without an example in said price point. I’ve done this several times. There’s less pressure to deliver the similar results again when you’ve already done it.
Dude! This is one of the most emotion filled wedding films I've watched!!! Ever! Thank you for the great work! A creative who creates is the best thing in the world.
Eric! I missed your face on here. Glad you are back. You make me smile. You are a wonderful creator and holy wowsers, congrats to 3 kids. You are an inspiration.
Man. Patrick. That means so much, my man. Thank you for the support and encouragement. I doubt my decisions with this platform all the time, and it helps so much to hear this perspective. Appreciate you, dude.
Wow, so incredibly moved by your film! The couple is so lovely and their vows were so beautifully & eloquently stated. Your retelling of their story is powerful and inspiring. Amazing work!
Wow, that was freaking amazing! All the shots are phenomenal especially those shots of them dancing. The light was so beautifully captured. And that ending, wow. Dang, that was good
Eric! I'm blown away every time by your incredible dedication to your craft. I always leave your videos feeling incredibly inspired. This video is no different! You killed it!!!
I noticed a common trend/difference from mine to yours that I really liked about yours was the clean shadows. I feel like whereas I try to crank the iso to expose properly you just decide it’s okay to let it be dark sometimes In exchange for a clean shot and I really like that honestly.
Yeah, I’ve been a freak about preserving highlights recently, and that makes the whole image a bit more balanced. Canon has a setting called Highlight Tone Priority that saves you a full stop of dynamic range in the highlights.
Eric Floberg I use the EOS R, is that available in c-log do you know? Also, let’s say the bride is standing in front of a large window, and to preserve the highlights outside the window you wouldn’t see almost any details of her. Do you still protect the highlights or do you then up the iso
I'd love to make that if I get some extra time after my backlog is done. I'll jot it down in my potential video ideas. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
Excellent execution! The story telling and filmmaking on this one was really next level. Love the way we moved in and out of scenes, got to get to know them, see who they were, how they just "hung out" made dinner, went for a day on the lake etc... Also loved the color in each scene. Really grounded the whole film and helps me think differently about how I will be thinking about films
I'll be adding videography to my services soon. You've literally just inspired me! I'm curious as to how you select your music for your films in general.
I love your videos so much, Eric! It's inspiring and they have taught me in many ways as a photographer/ beginner in videography. Not to mention the rich content in the business aspect. Wish you more success and congratulations on the newborn :) Gotta feed them well!
Wow! Here I am thinking I'll get a couple tips to help my business workflow and you casually drop that epicness...seriously good Daddio! Inspiring is an understatement. Thanks for sharing! Keep it up!
Man Eric I have been watching your channel for a while now, and your wedding films are spectacular I want to start doing wedding films as well never knew could be so much fun to film!
Great work on this video! I am struggling with advertising - what should I do or not. Good idea that you suggested. I wonder how you find this kind of good to advertise weddings?
Man I love the way you tell the stories in your shoots, epic. Amazing work. You should be charging 100x for your work than what you charged for this brother 🙌🙌🙌
Love it! Can we get a breakdown of the shots? Like whether it was the day of, day before, after, coordination with photographer, and just a few other details?
Eric thank you endlessly for showing me that a wedding film can be a couples love story and not just a highlight of a day
The ending is everything I’ve ever wanted to see from a wedding film.
Dude, that means a ton. Thanks so much!
@@EricFloberg No worries! Love Mark and Molly! Stoked you shot this for them, turned out incredible!
