You did a great job on this. I've been half looking into GPS watches but this is the first video that really shows what it's like and is by far the most helpful video I've seen.
Also at 3:20 you mention measured distance.. what is that?

Do you have a golf watch?
@@GolfersAuthority I have a smartwatch that I can pair with 18 birdies, but it kind of drains the battery a lot so I don't use as often as I want to.
Looks like a very cool and useful GPS watch.
I have the S42 and it does track clubs used. Sometimes forget to select the club and some times looks like I had 350 - 400 yrd drives. Like all the feed back I get after the round on the garmin app. Allows you to see where your game is good and areas you need work on.

Thank you for the review! I've had the original Vivoactive for a while now, and loved the battery life, and golf app. Been wanting a more watch like, and golf capable watch, and found the S42 seems like a great replacement!

Is the display visible in the dark/night?
Yes it is backlit
What about club selection? You can tell it what club you just used to hit then it logs how far you hit that club when you get to the ball right? I wanted to see that feature
That is the S62 not the S42. I have another video on that

Still going strong after 2 1/2 years.
Honestly I’d trust the watch satellite gps way more than a human operated handheld rangefinder. Satellites are way more accurate than a human with a shaking hand lol
I agree, do you have a gps watch you are using ?
Don’t drink so much booze and you won’t shake so much!
