I like it that you're out on the course with a tshirt tucked out. The courses im at will kick me out so fast before i could even get a gps lock on with thr s62.
whats the difference in golf functionality between the epix and the s70? is there any? or is it just the action button?
is it worth the price in a golfers perspective, when u r not willing to make the subscribtion?
Thanks for the video! I have the old version of this watch and really like it.. in addition I now use a Fenix 7 for all my golfing! The Apple Watch and the daily charge and bad golf apps.. just didn't do it for me! Go Garmin!

@@Evan_Rodgers I am terrible :) I am trying to get better, especially with the driver. I was a 24 last summer, I am a 16 now and trying to get down to single digits by the end of the year. I am trying to get more consistent with the driver. But thank you I appreciate the comment and you being here with us

To all the nay-sayers of this great watch (i have it)ive had Garmins for years and still use the s3 and yes battery is still going strong after 10 years getting 5 rounds off one charge. great resale value too.
I am looking for a good smart watch with all the options....must have good golf feature also and the other health monitoring....plus good day to day watch for steps / distance etc.........curious on your recommendation or anyone else with some advice.....cheers all from Canada
Get the Epix Pro 51mm. It is a better overall watch than the S70. It also has most of the features that the S70 have.

The S70 is the best garmin watch I have used so far. I wear it every day, and stopped using my apple watch. It has every feature I could ever want and the display and battery life are amazing.

how do you feel the size/weight is? seems a touch on the large side

It's lighter than the outgoing s62 and apple watch ultra
light as a feather you forget ur wearing it.
Great looking piece with a lot of tech, but that pice tag is just to rich for my blood. I will stick to my Samsung Watch 5 with a golf app.
My biggest concern would be the battery life in terms of years. The lithium battery is most likely not replaceable therefore if the watch burns out (or the battery life significantly drops) after say a few years then I'm paying + $200 per year for a watch that I'm going to have to replace. Not great to be honest. I'd want it to last at least 5 years + to make the investment worthwhile.

@@GolfersAuthority I'm actually not using a golf watch now. I thought back to my Fitbit where the battery life decreased drastically after less than 2 years and I was getting less than a day of charge out of it. Maybe the batteries in the Garmin S70 are better but not sure.
It will outlast five years easily. it will hold its value better than any smart watch and yes you can replace the battery. my local phone shop said easier to do than a smartphone. just cant guarantee water resistance.
I've had a Garmin Approach S20 since 2016. The battery has obviously degraded some, but I can still get 2-3 rounds out of it (2.5 -3 hour rounds) or 2+ weeks without GPS. I've definitely gotten my money's worth out it. It's not an S70 by any means though. I'll definitely be upgrading.
Bought the s70 -this video has been amazing. Unfortunately my home course is not listed on the watch. Will the s70 allow me to create the course (IE) enter the hole#, the par and the length?
I am not sure, but that is kinda lame. Is it a well known course?
It's the Pamplona Golf Course in Negros Oriental,Philippines. Ang Tay, a 9 hole course, also in Negros Oriental, is included on the S70 but Pamplona, an 18 hole course is not @@GolfersAuthority
Pamplona has golf tournaments and has a healthy membership. It's the only 18 hole golf in Negros Oriental@@GolfersAuthority

$699 for the watch and your still have to pay $99/yr for green contours, Thats insane. i'll stick with free The Grint app on my phone lol Its a great looking item but yikes.
I already have the app because I have the Garmin R10. But I can see what you mean though. The Grint is cool too. Is that what you are mainly using now?
@@GolfersAuthority Yea I use the grint for score keeping and checking courses ive never played. I have a handheld range finder when need be for 180 and in if theres a question. Ive only been golfing for 10 months so im still green lol

Garmin should get out of the watch hardware business & port their software to the Apple Watch Ultra.
The benefits of the Apple Watch ecosystem are too attractive. All these Garmin watches as destined to be dead-end niche devices.

Do u think I’ll get better use of a watch than a range finder?
