My early thoughts on the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE after a few days. At first, I was a little skeptical, but I am liking my experience. Another reason why specs don't tell the entire story!

I was a little confused at first, but I like the phone so far!
They definitely did a good job with thermals!! I fast charged my phone, it started to get warm at first. But it seemed like the cooling system kicked in and it cooled back down. It's just slightly, ever so slightly warm to the touch around the top by the cameras. No complaints overall though!
Great shame that this could be Flagships killer
Should had
1) Snapdragon Gen 1 Plus
2) SD slot
3) Had faster charger like in S23 Plus and Ultra
Seriously I loved it
I'm getting more surprised by Samsung's every new release, I love it that they try hard to make sure that the every customer no matter what category is not left behind ❤
Have in the UK with the Exynos chip, set to 60hz frame rate, phone runs nice with decent battery life, camera has impressed too
Got mine a couple of days ago. So far I like it. Only complaint I do have is when I take to phone off of my ear the screen dow no light up for me to tap the hang-up button.
I'm using this phone right now and I love it!
(From Philippines)
Exynos 2200 po ba sayu
heating issue ba?
You can't beat the durability of a samsung
I'm waiting on mine which will be here tomorrow. I bought the Samsung exclusive color Tangerine. I can't wait.
That's definitely a neat color...I thought about it!
Enjoy your new phone it's definitely a different color you should get a clear case
@@jejunamja The clear case showed up before the phone did 😄
Would you still recommend this over the One plus 11 now that it's on sale less than the s23 fe? My main concern is the battery life and heating risk with the sd 8th gen 1 as a casual user, even though the camera quality looks better.
I've seen that this phone has a huge vapor chamber that manages the heat from the 8Gen1 very good. If that's true and the phone doesn't get as hot as the S22 lineup and the battery life is good, this is going to be a great phone. Once the price drops everyone who wants an A54 should try to stretch their budget and get this instead. One UI, 5 years of updates and a 6,4 inch display is great. People always say "oh but the regular S23 has dropped its price" yeah but I think the regular S23 is a small phone for today standards so people who would buy the FE probably prefer the S23 Plus and this is definitely going to be cheaper than the plus.
The colors are awful though😂
The Purple and Mint look pretty Cool.
I am liking the purple and the mint does look fresh.
Also those who say just get the regular S23 are usually referring to the refurbished price on Amazon. A brand new S23 is obviously more expensive and people forget that.
I have the Galaxy S23 and its smallness is very compatible for my small hands. 😅 I also like S23FE too, improved S22 indeed.
This purple is way better than the lavender that the s23 has. Verizon only offers 256gb in the black model though... sooooo aggravating, so I'm stuck with black since I'll be upgrading/switching over to Verizon.
Just got this phone a couple days ago. This phone is awesome.
i just baught this phone sunday and i know its early but the battery seems very good comming from a s20 fe witch both have 4500 mah i find the battery is good on the s23 fe
Great review and commentary.
Thanks for watching!
If you could compare it to the regular poco f5 would be great, love your videos love the human touch 😂
i just want a fast, good battery, good screen, with DEX. this seems nice
I’m looking at it but I have a a53 5g now. While the A53 can be a little laggy at times if you close apps that aren’t in use it runs fine. I’d upgrade to the s23fe if Samsung would give more than $100 trade in on my current phone. That and no SD card slot are downsides so I’d have to get the 256Gb version.
Would you be able to compare with S23 plus?
But there was a time when there was an a70 series and an FE series. Although I don't think the a70 series was available in the US
I don't know I think I'll just stick with my A54 that cost me $289 on sale. Really I believe that all people need.
Im gonna be upgrading to this from an a70. I hope its gonna be a big jump from my current one. I hope considering my phone is over 4 years old lol
I got it for 500 cad no tax, a great deal! I mean approx 400usd equivalent. A great value! Look at it this way, fe really means flagship essentials according to cnet, I agree! A little weak on battery life otherwise it's great 👍!
You sound like Odyssey Tech!
I traded in my S20FE for the S23FE and only paid $599 AUD ($370.11USD as of 11/01/23) It also came with a redeemable gift from Samsung that includes 4 Samsung tags and a Samsung 1000mah battery bank. Not too bad of a launch promotion if you ask me 😋
Would you recommend this phone? Or is it better to get the S23 or S23 Ultra?
@HollowBerry In the real world, you can't tell the difference ( besides the slightly larger bezels ) it's definitely a better value than the s23, imo at least.
@@GaryAnderson-iw3lptrue
@@ProtoArrowI recommend it because it's a great phone for $600 and it's still Flagchip phone but if you wanna pay a little extra $800 then I would get the s23 🤷🏾
@@ProtoArrowI have the s23 ultra and i love it. If you don't care about the s pen and the larger screen then the s23 fe is Perfect
Not quite sure where this device fits into the Samsung lineup 🤔 suppose its s bit of competition for the pixel 7a
Why the dislike of Oxygen OS? I have the n30 5g & have no problems with it. I have a Galaxy a14 5g as my backup phone. The only place it beats my n30 is the screen resolution. I every other category the n30 is better. Faster Processor more storage stereo speakers. They are both budget devices but have had no issues with Oxygen OS.
ONEUI is better at everything. Designs, updates, features and customization, optimization, and integration with Google sevices
I love the purple color.
I'm liking it a lot so far.
This phone sits between the A54 and S23+. 80% of Samsung phones are 6.4"-6.6". That's the competitive market. S23 is Samsung's smallest non flip phone. Many don't want it. I would never consider the smaller s23. S23 is like an apartment size fridge in a row of full size fridges.
So the FE line makes sense. It eats into the + line up. 9+ and 10+ were extremely popular. S20fe/21fe comes out and the 21+, 22+,23+ sales go down.
I really wanted to get the s23FE it was 350 dollars if I add a line with metro by T-Mobile. But they also had a Add a line special for the Galaxy a54 for 150 dollars plus i could get a galaxy tab A7 lite for free when I added an extra line. So i ended up getting the galaxy A54
Correction, it's not the 8plusg1. That was fabricated by TSMC, this is just the old fashioned basic 8g1. Fabricated by Samsung and notorious for its thermal issues and throttling scandals including the Samsung GOS issue which led to them being delisted from geekbench.
S23FE also has silver ring around selfie camera?
yes
Only reason I choose the A54 was because of the expandable storage.
i have the s22 plus.. i think i need an upgrade tho
Thanks. Does it have always on display ?
Do you know the minimum brightness in nits?
It does have an AOD but I don't know the min brightness.
Using this phone right now but not satisfied with its front cam. Overall performance's good tho.
Yeah that's how they get you for that price but I don't take that much pictures so it's fine for me
Do you think that any of the AI stuff that is supposed to come with the s24 series will come to this phone?
Yes, it has to come to at least the S22 Ultra so it would be a tough case not to bring it here.
Been using it and love it ❤
Not about the bezels tho, but overall perfect phone for me
Big question, would you take this one the Lenovo thinkphone?
Ooooooooo, tough call. I don't know. I really like the build of the Moto but performance wise...man...tough, and the Samsung definitely has the better display and camera. Tough.
I just got the s23 ultra for 423 as a payment for being a first time customer, but they gave it tome free
if it had expandable storage id rush to buy it.
Just got mine from Samsung for $379. The only issue is it's running 13 Android. Where is 14 Android and the new UI 6.0? Do you have any ideas?
Поменяй регион на Индию или Индонезия.
Steve my friend i want to see you review moto razor 2023
If they sent one, I would but I don't think I'm getting one. It does seem nice for the money though!
The display and the speakers are the major features of this phone. I prefer the display on this device than the S23 series
Lines on phone screens are a new tactic by the phone companies to increase sales. This is planned obsolescence and no I have never gamed on my phone or dipped it water or used in hot temps. My phone is samsung a71 with 4 white lines. At least realme is acknowledging the issue.
Idk what to buy the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE or the Samsung Galaxy A54?
Сложный выбор..
Exynos 2200 outside the US
Hard no, don't buy it outside the US!
I'm getting one. Upgrading from a S20 FE.
You'll like it!
I paid 100 for it at metro pcs🎉
Hey there!!
For a casual user which one is better:
A34 vs Nord 3?
Looking to use for 4-5 years.
A34 will receive 4 years Android updates
Nord 3 will receive 3 years of Android updates.
Should not have the FE instead rather having the A54 with samsung own chip instead put last year's chip in the A54 and bump the price for a few dollars. Enjoy your RUclips videos lots of fun
I don't see why you would get it with its problem 8g1 chip over the s23 proper. Or even a used s22 ujtra. If you want Samsung features, you might as well get one with the more thermally efficient ship at roughly the same price (since the s23 can be found on discount very easily these days).
@@fantasytky28Fe has a decent bezels too 😉👌😂
@@fantasytky28 let's be serious, the only really decent are the cameras 👌💯👍📸📸
battery life please
I don't want to give a number just yet as the phone is breaking in. It's about six hours right now.
this is basically an A54
No it’s not NOT AT ALL sorry I’m not being rude you’re just way off my friend.
I mean it's clearly a weird Frankestein between other Samsung phones, but a powerful processor, better cameras and a telephoto truly separate it from the A series.
@@katinasoutherland7693 not saying it's a bad phone but strangely positioned. for just a little more money you can get the 256GB Pixel 8
So you basically never touch this phone 😂
Guy sounds like a used care salesman
Those glossy backs really need to stop. They are finger print magnets. I like no case so matte would be better. I do not belong in the "I can't hold on to shit and have butter fingers" people. So I like no case. But u can't make extra money of the naked phone wearer so they make them with case usage in mind.
SD 8 Gen 1 is a horrible processor. You could toast your bread on this phone
Because of that overheating processor I am using an iPhone mini 12 I stopped using my Samsung s22
The bezels look ugly.
CPUs, battery, bezels 👎
sounds like someone who doesnt even own the phone
These are overpriced phones with less specs compared to the ones which are available at the same price .
Geekbench 6 benshmark: s23fe s711w version got 4212 cpu and 5539 gpu...this phone is a powerful beast far ahead from google pixel 7 pro and s22 around 3400 cpu and just behind s23 s23 plus and ultra around 5000 cpu
Ya no. If it had an sd card slot id already have this phone. But since they keep removing features I’m using a 2020 apple device because if I can’t have removable storage then what is the advantage? There is none perhaps iPhone is now better and that is coming from an android user since 2014.
