When an employee resigns fairly they want that person to give a notice one month prior, and still they hold the salary for 2 months after resigning..
But when a employer fires , they do it without any notice , why is this injustice?
Why isnt the government coming up with laws to arrest or atleast fine those companies heavily who does immediate firing without a period notice..Such corporate bosses must be jailed with longer jailtimes and be fined heavily, coz ur not firing only a employee, ur messing the structure of a family, ur disabling the family of paying the bills, promises made to their kids, rents, bills, future trips, EMI's etc..

      Companies have 2 choices
      1. Pay only on work done basis.. this is has it's own pros and cons. Pros for Company, no loses, good employees will stay.
Cons: employees seek high lumsum package, not bit by bit daily.. these are more risky.
      2. Lumsum package
Risky - you can get out of service.. easily.. if company faces loss.
I offer option 1, I prefer on pay daily for work done! In my company. It's better, it will enable me to have sane employees for super long term. No removal needed, if anyone is not interested in working.. or feel their wages are not upto mark.. they can leave..

The people who were fired were the diversity department. That alone should have had them fired a long time ago, but those people were firing others and choosing people based on stats that would not help the company. 2 Hours of 'work' per day? they look at a group of employees or possible hires, and bin people based on race, religion, sexual preference, and sexual identity.
How does that help any company make money?
Personally, I'd rather my lawyer, doctor, mechanic, programmer, even the person unclogging paper jams, to know what they are doing, over what group they represent. If you don't know how to play basketball, you should not be on the court.

    • @jcsgodmother

If you fire 900 people it has nothing to do with the performance of the employees. It is about the performance of the company. The CEO should be honest about that and not make it sound like the employees are deficient. The employees should be laid off not fired. I once worked for a firm that had lost its main client after the death of a principal. They downsized in stages and in the first stages pretended like they were firing people for deficient performance. They fired them instead of laying them off. It makes a world of difference to those employees in terms of self esteem and in terms of getting a new job. Eventually they laid off other people but admitted the firm was going under. It was very unfair to the first employees they put down and fired.

This happens everyday in the US... the only difference between this and other sudden firings/laid-offs is this was on Zoom and recorded. Where I worked, over a 20 year period, 3 times the company laid off hundreds of my co-workers each time, many because they want to ship the work to India. The last time it laid-off over 270 people. Of course it is sudden. There are no warnings. Last week, the company said it was making millions of dollars in revenue, today you come into work and is told to go to a meeting. In the meeting, they tell everyone in the meeting you're laid-off and to pack your stuff (under supervision in case you steal or sabotage company stuff) and leave the premise within an hour. You are escorted out. Companies don't treat employees like human beings. Employees are just a number to them. Now it is all about profits and CCTV monitoring of employees , no privacy , no personal touch, strangers working for someone up the ladder that no one sees or knows.
