that's my goal too. But unfortunately I still need to work for 5 more years and search for a place that makes me feel like home. Any suggestions on how to find a place like that?
After the pandemic, I've detested going back to work at the office because- 1. I find corporate work culture very toxic. You're surrounded by passive aggressive people who don't understand boundaries. 2. I'm able to give myself and my loved ones more time and care. I'm able to juggle things better from home. 3. 90% of my work is done online, from a laptop and most interactions with people happen online. If their job has been getting done all this while, what is the problem? 4. The whole commute/ travel time is saved and I'm more productive without worrying for all of that nonsense. 5. I've been re-evaluating the entire corporate sector work culture, it has been detrimental to my mental health since I've been working here. .
Perfectly said. Just one more point for me: I'm no longer surrounded by pathetic, liar, two-faced co-workers or need to have meaningless conversation with them. Just have work related discussion and end it.
I always realised that none can be productive for 8 hours. 6 hours is perfect. This improves focus, balances lunch and commute. 6 hours, 2 shifts is ideal
Yes!!!! Chennal Boy. I want to work 30-35 hours per week, in a job that has get up and move time (I don't mind hard physical labor), and also some brain or problem solving work to keep it interesting. I want more than 1 or 2 weeks off a year, I want health insurance, and decent pay. I have yet to find this job in America, there is this BS idea that I am lazy because I don't want to work 40 hours a week or more. I had a salaried job and I was abused at that, I never want to work salary again. I have also owned 2 businesses, but honestly, I hate working by myself and prefer a team of great people. I am 52 and would love to find a job I love until retirement, but I honestly think the job I want does not exist. One thing I have learned in my long and varied work history is the PEOPLE you work with are as important or more important than most other aspects. I have done some really crappy jobs, but if you love your coworkers it's doable.
One more thing, the pandemic made us realize where our loyalty should be and it's not in the company. Glad to know people across the globe are now confident to ask for better life.
@@therainforest4314 I agree but we are years away from that especially where I live. In this side of the world, people's rights are more of a privilege enjoyed by a select few.
People in America don't "ask" for a better life, they WORK for it. Commies think the government will give it to them, only to be disappointed over and over again
Maybe workers want better work life balance?. EU gets 4 to 5 weeks minimum. US and Canada get almost nothing by globally mandated standards(2 weeks or 3 weeks max for most). Give people proper pto so they want to work hard to enjoy their time off!. Oh and try give them flexible work arrangements so they dont burn out commuting back and forth. We need to talk with coworkers, and build relationships, but we also need to prevent burnout. Good pto and flexible work arrangements are a good start. Workers are quitting burnout and cant live their lives either, they want to be treated humanely and do their dream while young or with family. Just my opinion.
I'm American and I can tell you that the number one problem for me has always been that American companies almost never want to train employees. It's almost impossible to find someone because companies want 5 to 10 years of experience for a $10/hr job.
People not letting each other live is the issue Never happened in the older generation Patience is running out of people Skills are peanuts in some cases and egos elevated
Performance management works both ways for both individuals and managers. Those companies that conduct regular employee surveys and focus on both individual and manager development do well. The role of a "manager" is misunderstood, equated to a slave driver, just like the generic misconception of mother-in-laws in a family. The toxic culture unnecessarily continues generation after generation.
True! When some other journalists present the news, most of the times I have difficulty in understanding their Accent, even though I have Indian roots ✌👍
I live in the UK and I think that working from home during the pandemic made people re-evaluate their lives. No spending money on expensive train tickets to get to the city and the office, no stress from travelling, no buying expensive coffees from cafes, no listening to boring co-workers etc. etc.

This is the best explanation of what we've been experiencing in this pandemic. Many have speculated, but this video describes a lot of what we didnt feel was important enough to utter. It is like a buyer's market in every single area of life! It's scarily refreshing, imo 🥰
I know a CEO who took a pay cut from his profits to double his employee's salary because they had to take second jobs in order to sustain themselves and be happy. I wish we had more CEOs like that. Also company is doing great even amidst the pandemic.
Isn't the CEO themselves the reason why the employees were in a situation where they had to take a second job? Although it sounds nice, but it's nothing more than a PR stunt for a feel good story.
@@taherajna Yes so he fixed the issue...? This logic doesnt make sense. He saw that his employees could benefit from him cutting his salary so he did just that.
This is the great awakening. Spirituality - people doing something that makes them feel good. It can be dropping your child at soccer, working from home, planting a garden outside or having a meal with your family. These are all things that sound so simple and yet people were desperately lacking them. Who wants to get on the highway and sit in their car for and hour or longer? People finally had a chance to sit at home or were forced to stay at home and could think for a more than a weekend about what truly is important. This was long overdue and it took a crisis or virus to do this to us. There is always a blessing/silver lining in a crisis. Thank you Palki.
@ not really, unplanned parenthood is a big reason, tge poorer the people the more children they have , us has 4 times the landmass of India and less than a quarter of the pop,

Reason: Employers have burnt out employees. How long will you cut jobs and squeeze out the ones left ? I feel so guilty leaving my children at daycare when they were sick because of my companies goal deadlines.
Society and women in particular have been sold a lie. It says that work outside the home defines who you are. It degrades the hugely important and difficult job of parenting and running the home. The truth is that nobody can do all of that well at the same time. Nobody.
Uhhhhhhhh. You need money to support your family. Quitting your jobs not going to make anything better 😂 I'm glad you put some good thought into that comment before you posted it
From 2007 to 2012 I slogged and slogged and still felt unsecured in my jobs. I took additional work which I shouldn't have affecting my career in long term. Now the time has come to change this corporate culture.
The reason people are quitting is simple enough they are sick of being treated like slaves on low wages while the owners and senior managers receive huge salaries along with all the perks.
The corporate overlords didn’t see this coming at all. They can own the government but they don’t own the people ! Keep fighting and don’t expect any less than you deserve.
Well they can always employ robots and seeing this great regination, the research of working robots might as well be fast tracked even more, as billionaires take more interest in it.

Totally true.. I just quit my job to get rid of toxic environment of the office from my life and it feels so good. At the end of the day happiness, health and mental peace are important rather than working in office where you are treated like animals !!
Workers are tired of being treated like they're expendable. It says a lot when a corporation calls you into a meeting to announce record profits, but refuses to pay you a proper salary.
The few at the top are drawing obscene salaries, benefits and bonuses... While the worker who actually performs the work unit struggles desperately to keep a roof over their head and have food to eat. Forget healthcare, the insurance they offer workers is more like a coupon. Ten dollars off your next coronary artery bypass surgery, some restrictions apply. They are finding out, without them their is no need for management or a Board of Directors.
Very sad the CEO has a Gold Paraschute where he,she or they can cause the collapse of the company and still they are intitled to the millions of dollars Golden Parachute even if they are incompetent???
The old way is dying. We need to look at EU style benefits for employees now. They get 4 or 5 weeks minimum vacation straight off the bat, and excellent parental leave policies. At the end of the day, most people have jobs, because they need it, not like it. Giving them enough time off to travel when young and healthy, or older and with family to see relatives, is really the right thing to do, so people can live their life to the fullest(and be much more focused at work, because they dont want to lose their accumulated time off or have to work during it lol). Of course, employees are expected to complete their duties within their working week, but having said that, burnout is serious issue in north america, and asia that hurts not just employees, but companies, and their families. Poor treatment of employees also destroys any loyalty, or incentive for productivity. Why work harder when the only reward is more work, and no real time off to live one's dreams or see relatives or family? Its sort of sad we have come to this point. Having said that, I support hard work, but dont forget, employees have their own lives. Another is that companies need to embrace WFH, where it doesnt negatively affect productivity, and if they want people to come in, they need to take into account the time and cost of commuting..its basically time at work. There will always be people who love their job, but many of us just want to have an ok job where we are useful, and spend the rest of time with people we care for.

I deliberately avoided taking up a new job right away to make space for new ideas and possibilities I wouldn’t have otherwise. It’s pushed me to consider things I never would have and learn stuff that I thought I never could. Taking a calculated risk is sometimes imperative. How To Live In Harmony With Nature And Reduce Pollution 1. Many Production Companies Which We Do Not Need Actually For Human Beings Has To Be Stopped We manufacture so many products and it is creating pollution. So if we minimise our products, pollution would be less. We produce so many things which we do not need, like cold drinks, leather products, potato wafers, chips, fruit juices, chocolates, biscuits, pickles, ice creams, etc. Cold drinks, fruit juices, pickles, ice creams, etc. Should be cooked at home only. If we stopped producing this things which are not required for humans, so much pollution could be reduced. If we colour the clothes pollution occurs. So if we don't colour our clothes, the pollution resulting from colouring the clothes can be stopped. Let everything remain in white natural colour. 2. We Should Cook Foods In Its Natural Form We can cook rice and wheat in our homes and eat it. Rice and Wheat is produced in farms. Then it is packed and transported to big warehouses, then wholesalers buy from them and supply to retail shops. But if a manufacturing company makes bread from rice and wheat, then to make bread a manufacturing company has to be set up, machines and working staffs are needed. When a company is built many other things are also needed. Then at last a plastic pack is required to pack the breads. So if we start cooking eatable things in its natural form then we do not need many companies like bread manufacturing company, tomato ketchup, noodles, fruit jam, pizza, burger, etc., the things required for the company and the plastic pack, paper box pack and glass bottles. If done like this, so many companies will not be required and hence less pollution for the world. Also we could save our money like this. If you buy a packet of bread, it would cost you more money than if you cook wheat and rice in home. Previously before industrial revolution, we didn't have technology, but our foods were rich with nutrients. Now we have technology, but technology is polluting our foods and our foods are not rich with nutrients, and because of that also we have health problems. If this is done, then many jobs would be lost. For that many peoples should do farming and they should be given loans if they do not have enough money to start farming on their own. Food, Medicines, Surgeries and Education's should be made free to the world till the world settles down with farming. After that food, medicines, surgeries and education's should be stopped free to the world. Many people should study botany subject so that they have knowledge of plants and they should do farming. Is their any another solution, that humans won't lose jobs and also pollution would decrease. Humans have to take this step certainly instead of going on polluting the earth, making wildlife extinct and also mass extinctions of humans in future. 3. Electricity Pollution We create electricity from many types of sources like coal, water, etc., but it creates pollution. If electricity created from windmill and solar energy then no pollution occurs in the creation process. But still to manufacture windmill and solar machines pollution would occur. As I previously said that if we shut down many manufacturing companies which are producing things which are not needed for humans, then the world would not require so much electricity. If less electricity required, then less pollution generated. 4. Could We Stop Drinking Cow's and Buffalo's Milk Whatever vitamins and nutrients we get from milk, if we can get it from other eatable things, then we can stop drinking cow's and buffalo's milk. As milk has to be packed in glass bottles and plastic packs and then transported to places. All of this can be stopped. For infants whose mother's have died or mother's who cannot breast feed their infants, only for them cow's and buffalo's milk should be given. We use milk in tea and coffee. Instead of milk we must use lime with tea and coffee or just plain tea and coffee. A lime should be cut into a few pieces and cooked with tea and coffee or something else can be used instead of lime. 5. How Much Should Be The World's Population Every place should have a single house. No buildings, everything ground floor. If we do this and the whole lands of our planet earth would be occupied one day with homes, farms, forests, schools, hospitals, etc., then we would come to know how much our planet earth can have maximum population. Once the population is determined, then we have to maintain that population. For example if our earth can have a population of 10 billion peoples, then when the population reaches 10 billion, then everyone should have only one child till the population reaches 9 billion peoples. As if we have only one child then the population decreases. When population is 9 billion peoples, then everyone should have 2 children's till the population reaches 10 billion peoples. After that again we should have only one child. In this way population can be maintained.

Ok. Let’s figure this out….. You want a work life balance… there are 168 hours in a week…assuming you sleep 8 hours a day, that’s 56. Leaving 112. Work life balance would be working 56 hours a week! Amazing. Eight hours a day for work, 8 for family, 8 for sleep!!! But that’s not what you want, you want to work 20 hours a week and be able to afford all of your wants… that’s not a work life balance. That’s laziness…

After the pandemic, I've detested going back to work at the office because-

I have yet to find this job in America, there is this BS idea that I am lazy because I don't want to work 40 hours a week or more. One more thing, the pandemic made us realize where our loyalty should be and it's not in the company. Glad to know people across the globe are now confident to ask for better life.
One of humanity's biggest problems regarding a desired better life is that they are still "asking", instead of demanding a better life.

"Gold parachute"? LMAO
So true
People are tired seeing their pay cut due to “company budget cuts” only to see their boss pull up in a brand new ride.

Money does, however, keep a roof over your head and pay your bills. Further, it is the possession of enough money alone that permits people to quit their job.

How To Live In Harmony With Nature And Reduce Pollution
1. Many Production Companies Which We Do Not Need Actually For Human Beings Has To Be Stopped
We manufacture so many products and it is creating pollution.
2. We Should Cook Foods In Its Natural Form
We can cook rice and wheat in our homes and eat it.
3. Electricity Pollution
We create electricity from many types of sources like coal, water, etc., but it creates pollution.
4. Could We Stop Drinking Cow's and Buffalo's Milk
Whatever vitamins and nutrients we get from milk, if we can get it from other eatable things, then we can stop drinking cow's and buffalo's milk.
5. How Much Should Be The World's Population
Every place should have a single house.
Many are still asleep. I pray God everyday that they realise the truth.
