I love the concept of Earth's distant past being a fantasy world with a blood cult, machine kingdom, faeries, a bigfoot civilisation, and a loose pantheon of cosmic horrors
Prehistoric Earth was a clusterfuck. LOL
but muh dinosaurs
and us humans, children of the sun, counterparts to the children of the moon(Bigfoot), we were most dangerous for our trickster nature. The faeries were skilled entities, magical being or reality benders, scp-1000s were highly advance with organic technology such as we see with the Soviet soldier with his grown insect insectnoid suit, the daevites dark magical female civiations that rose to blood magicians, and the Church fo the broken god who were techno-wizards. They only thing that made humans so strength was we were gifted with nothing and had to fight off everything, making us the greatest danger as we have, in the SCP universe, destroyed two civilizations. Daevites is kinda of a third, buuut, hard to say.
The whole lore of this period in history is expanded on a lot in 4840, if you're willing to give that one a read; it's a lot, but it's very enlightening.

I like that the spear of the non-believer could basically be any and all magical deity spears like the spear St George used to slay the dragon, Odins spear, the one one used for killing Jesus and/or around 20 other spears throughout history.
I'm sure the Spear of the Unbeliever is at least two of the great spears of legend.
Here's a question: is the Spear of Destiny an object of great evil, because it wounded Jesus, or is it a tremendously holy object, because it entered the body of Jesus? Here's another: is it the same as the Spear which is mated with the Stone, the Bowl and the Sword?
And yes, what about Gungnir?
@@johnburt7935 scp universe is full of alternate history this spear can be billions of years old wielded by one of the enemies of scp-1000 or a fragment of a broken god. On your Jesus question it could have been evil before piercing Jesus then it may have gotten sanctified but things get corrupted in the scp universe a lot as well. Heck it might have been the only way to actually kill Jesus with a spear forged by the gods to kill gods. Yes Gungnir heck Odins dwarves realm is probably somewhere on earth in the scp universe like the fairies relm. So Loki or whatever can still go down and make his bet but the dwarves cheat and improve this really good spear mostly known at this point for stabbing an isrealite.
@@crackerplease2 I did once overhear someone point out that many Roman Legionaries were Germanians, so it was not inconceivable that the soldier who stabbed Jesus with a spear was actually sacrificing him to Odin.

maybe you know this but scp classifications are based on how difficult they are to contain. If there was a button that could cause the entire world to blow up, but didn't do anything unless pressed, you could put it in a box and not ever worry about it breaching containment. the thing in the cave doesn't try to go anywhere, so as long as you don't go into the cave, it's as safe as an scp can be.

Sebastian Yu It’s most likely because YASH is inside of a cave, and it was stated the princess was imprisoned underground
Everyone else: *References to the video, specifically about the Dark Souls thumbnail or the Bloodborne reference*
Me: "Just put the Euclid one with 2966, that's two objects safely contained."
I don't see how. With normal containment procedures for 2966 it absorbs heat just like 4812-e and if you just let it do its thing it's just a massive nuclear bomb.
@@wasfas1977 2966 only absorbs energy as a result of use, which is a part of its standard containment procedures. When it's left inactive, it reverts the matter it produced back into energy, the vast majority of which is released as thermal energy. 4812-E is a "near perfect" heatsink, meaning it will absorb the resultant heat of the "explosion" (which isn't an actual explosion, but a release of thermal energy of a level comparable to the detonation of an undisclosed number of tons of TNT) with either no difficulty or little difficulty, with the only potential issue being potential permanent damage to the 4812-E entity, which could be seen as an absolute win.
Either way, it would allow 2966 to go critical without any actual risk to staff, researchers, or anyone else involved in the current containment efforts of 2966, allowing for the effective neutralization of a Keter-class object's hazardous property, along with allowing said hazardous property to either contain or destroy another object that may prove either difficult or possibly impossible to permanently contain.
@@StevetheWizard2591 I don't see how it could absorb all the energy released by 2966. The containment for 4812-e is keeping it in molten iron at 1400ºC (no indication of how that temperature is maintained however, but a really high rate of absorption would mean there's a high gradient in the temperature of the iron so it wouldn't make much sense to just say "the iron is at 1400ºC"). It also "is capable of reducing a 10m x 10m x 10m containment cell at room temperature to near absolute zero in roughly sixteen seconds". But 2966 transforms mass into energy at a rate that increases exponentially (releasing most of its energy near the end), presumably stopping when all its mass has been converted. We aren't given any numbers for 2966's mass/energy (other than it almost certainly having at least 10 sheets which according to the article equals 2*10^16J for each sheet) but it doesn't seem like it would be something that can be contained with 4812-e's rate of absorption.
@@wasfas1977 A quick bit of research into matters determined that a 1000 m^3 room at "room temperature" would require, low end, a reduction of energy of approximately 358613kJ to approach absolute zero (or 0K, in actually scientific terms). While the provided value is a few orders of magnitude lower than the 20000000kJ of energy released by 10 pieces of toilet paper, said energy is released over a longer period of time than the 16 seconds necessary for reduction to 0K by 4812-E. As long as it averages out to below 22413kJ/s, it's entirely possible for 4812-E to absorb the blast.
That being said, 2966 uses a lot of bad math in the article. For example, the formula they listed for the amount of energy required to produce one sheet of paper from 2966 was listed as being the equivalent of 65 tons of TNT, when the actual value is just under 5 *megatons* of TNT. That's not just bad math, it's the type of thing that would make someone suspect someone deliberately fudging the numbers. A 10-square "roll" of toilet paper would be almost as powerful as the Tsar Bomba's estimated megatonnage.

Hmm, methinks 4812-E is better kept in the vacuum of space, or maybe simply a vacuum chamber (preferably with double-layered vacuum-insulated walls for good measure) in a foundation facility. A vacuum is the best insulation, 4812-E will suck up all the heat in the chamber, but the exterior should remain at a reasonable temperature. The only place that would be an issue is the floor, but the foundation could either well insulate the floor, or somehow levitate this thing. Better yet, they could probably run pipes under the floor of the vacuum chamber and use the properties of 4812-E to chill coolant to near absolute zero. Other than cooling things, you could even use said coolant to drive a heat engine and basically get a perpetual energy generation system. That could potentially turn this thing into a Thaumiel entity.
Wouldn't it be funny if it turned out 4812-E would violently explode, releasing all the heat it had absorbed, after it had absorbed some arbitrarily large amount of heat?
Yes! Finally someone with some physics knowledge, i was like wtf the whole time with how they depicted the confinement mesure...

@@recouer Writing SCPs is really difficult, the wiki gets a load of new entries a day. So you really have to stand out in terms of overall quality. Its likely that the writer just didn't have a access to a physicist because....not everyone does. Just enjoy the SCP
@@void8617 yeah, i understand that point, but simply changing technical details later on when those issues are mentionned would be a good idea to make it more believable a far reaching for learned people.
it's just i don't mind having some willing suspension of disbelief when it is related to SCPs, but when it doesn't concern them anymore, you need to be coherent with the physical world as you know it.
@@recouer I mean the solution that the author came up with makes sense, heat the area up around it, preventing the area from freezing.
@@void8617 as a confinment measure, it does not and it would be a Thaumiel entity if you want to have it cool down stuff to produce electricity. the thing is if the entity does not move, there will be a gradient in temperature that will be either a kilometer wide or a meter wide depending on the material used, and the fact that it used metal to contain it shows just how stupid the idea is as if i used a material with a good thermal resistance, we'd need only a few meters worth of such material to insulate the whole thing.
but using molten iron, which has very little thermic resistance and heating it doesn't make sense as you can accomplish the same thing using dirt and a barricade...
*Miyazaki watching this *
Miyazaki: Interesting
This was one of my favorite collection of scps/articles and would love to see you go deeper into all of them.
3 am SCP is the best kind of SCP
These are my favourite types of SCPs! The crossovers and world building is so immense!
Well "K"is slower than an SR-71 Blackbird....problem is the SR-71 would just get smacked out of the sky and crash into the Water or Ground at very high speeds, possibly in excess of 800MPH and would definitely be beyond repair(aside from other SCPs)
It would be able to get a picture…
@@Persequimur_Umbras hmm.....if it views itself would it die?probably not.....
SR-71s are liable to do that regardless.
Tl;dr
Dark souls, Bloodborne, and Hollow Knight in one story
I must say I appreciate you doing this because it helps me to sleep at night since I like your voice and the quiet and scientific reading with out a lot of sound effects. Just information and stories.
Thank you for making Monday my favorite day of the week.
''Become vengeance, David. Become... wrath.''
I really like these. It's been my deepest dive into scp I've done. Solely based on your objective look at these works and great storytelling. Keep it up some day I'll have some disposable income for ya.
About the only thing wrong with this, is that a perfect reflector would be extremely visible. I mean, you might not be able to work out what it looked like, because it would be lit up like a Christmas tree ALL the time. To be invisible it would need to bend light around it's self, so you're constantly seeing what's behind it. Other than that, wowser. This IS canon to me.
Oh, and I can't recall if it's in this video or one of the other Kactusverse videos, but you say pre-antedeluvian. Antedeluvian means "before the flood". Something which is pre-antedeluvian is before, before the flood. That makes no sense.
Otherwise, amazing work to you and DJKactus. Thank you for the work you put into this.
Everything about the scp universe and this channel are amazing. It makes my job so much better every day
OH BOY!! ITS 3AM!!
One for the algorithm. Keep doing what you're doing.
hmmm I have been anticipating this anomaly for some time the wait has proved worthwhile
Always love your works man! Keep it up!
Anyone else notice the name of the king? He the first Apollyon Class entity?
Praise the Sun!
*[Try Thrust, But Hole]*
Chest ahead.
Try tongue, rear
Wow. This episode was super interesting! Good job.
Nothing better to see than to wake up and see TES has uploaded thank you dude
My God, this SCP WOULD be the perfect idea for a Dark Souls IV plot!
The reflector is actually the beetle(the king of many faces) not Venuvenex
That’s actually a pretty cool idea. These creatures do indeed sound like something from Dark Souls
welcome to the "these descriptions would all make great metal album covers " file
Wrath can take many forms. Wrath can keep itself hidden from the world, can bring forth the shivering grip of death, and can drive their soul to a lethal madness beyond this world. Wrath is the destroyer of civilizations and the slaughterer of royal blood. Wrath.....is inevitable
TES uploads on my birthday, hell yeah!
Row Boat Happy Birthday :D
4828-S is basically 096, but stationary and faster..
10:26 = “A Nameless god”
11:57 = “The voice of the enemy beneath the earth”
If ya listened or read scp 4971, might be a loose connection tho. Granted the *people from that forest who i wont give a designation to* have a lot of figures like that, but if you also like to connect SCPs i think theres something to it. (Plus that dude a “lord of sacrifice” and clearly lots of people died in this Skip)
this is def an amazing ass scp story, im so proud to be apart of the scp community
I'm having a hard time picturing a 600 foot long beetle, with a human face, moving that fast. The concept creeps me out, but also makes me giggle.
I gotta tell you this, my man, especially with an early upload I managed to get into, and it would be that I really love your voice and you bring in excitement to these SCPs.
S: ok
E:...ummk
K: NOPE
T: Good idea.
A: NO! NO! NO!
N: It's gone now...
Ironically, the actual dangerous is in the reverse order.
i love your content, I watch and rewatch your videos all the time at work and on the go!
Man, I love your SCP content. So good.
Man the plot to Elden Ring sounds badass
This sounds a little bit like hollow knight and the spear of thhe non beliver might be a reference to the longinus spear
It literally is.
I was waiting for this and I am not disappointed. Now I'll just wait for the rest.
God I fucking love stuff like this. Involved worlds and stories with things we just don't quite know about teasing us and just an overwhelming sense of dread
