It's so wholesome when you see Aizawa thinks about Eri before he cuts his leg off, because without his quirk no one would be able to train Eri.

There's a reason manga readers call him "Dadzawa."
The way I interpret it is that Aizawa, like Deku, also believed that Eri's Quirk is a kind Quirk meant to restore hope to those who lost them, & not a weapon of despair that takes it away as wielded by the villains. Aizawa thinking of Eri before he cut off his own leg is like him saying, "Don't worry, kid. Your Quirk won't end the hero Eraserhead."

I love that this episode deeply delves into Bakugou's head. Having known Deku the longest, he's the first to catch onto his self-destructive hero complex. It also gives us more perspective on how he contemplates how he treated Deku, and, much like Endeavor, also wishes to atone for his actions.
Fun fact - if you ever read the My Hero manga, a lot of Horikoshi's art straight up looks like the most visceral horror art. I believe his next project is going to be a horror manga, even. So much of it has to be toned down for TV, but I think someone's compiled a bunch of Horikoshi's Horror Manga Panels for My Hero and it's excellent.

IKR like for example looking at the side by side comparison of what happened to Shigaraki’s jaw anime vs manga is just hilarious. Manga his jaw is FXCKED, all bloody and broken teeth, and in the anime its just wonky looking lol
In desperate need of a horror manga by Horikoshi, his art style is perfect for it, elegant but horrific.
When Bakugo threw himself in front of deku to protect him I started crying, Bakugo has changed so much since the first season and has grown so much. He really is my favorite character in this series.

A cool fact about this season, The ending’s do change for key episodes, such as the Twice episode changing the ending to show a scene of him and Toga, and this one to show Bakugo reflecting on everything.
The ending visuals for this episode had special visuals for this episode

The anime should have announced that they were doing that so often this season. They have to be smart enough to know people skip the outros, because why watch the same outro 9 times in a row if you think you've seen it already. Besides someone worked on that and it's shitty that their work wont be seen by a bunch of people.

We see in this episode that Bakugo and Deku truly take after each other when their backs are against the wall. Deku said he starts hurling insults when he gets into a really intense fight like Bakugo. Where his confidence flares up and he has an overwhelming desire to win. And in this episode, Bakugo embraces Deku's behavior of running out to save whoever needs help. Anyone, even if the other person feels they don't need it. When Deku is pushed into a corner, he adopts Bakugo's win to save mentality. And now Bakugo has adopted Deku's save to win mentality. They both care about each other so much.
Now onto Shiggy, that boy has the endurance of a lifetime. Taking blasts from Endeavor. Strikes from a dragon. Blasts from Bakugo. Multiple 100% smashes from Deku. All while resisting AFO's voice in his head. In fact, the only reason AFO was able to temporarily take over was because Shigaraki's body and mind were overwhelmed for a second. Which says a lot about Tomura's sheer willpower. Both sides are going beyond their limits.
What I don't get thought win he using his full power of one for all they said he wouldn't be able to use his arms anymore

The Quirk that Shigaraki is using to impaled Bakugo with, the finger black tendrils with Red lines called "Rivet stab" and has been appeared before in season 3 when All for one was fighting against Allmight
It's amazing how much they miss or forget lol. rivet stab wasn't even some one off thing, AFO used it prominently in that fight and yet here they are calling it some reverse black whip lmao.
I think it’s rivet stab mixed with forced quirk activation and that’s why there are red lines in the black tendrils, you hear all for one say forced quirk activation when he was fighting all might and it was the same red lined black tendrils.
As long as the whip is on him....... He could nae nae, followed by Chris telling him to shut up... Im dying!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

I enjoy Deku's *duality* with contrast of his rage mode from his more normal self.
His rage being a double-edged sword as it fuels his power, but he needs to make sure he doesn't loose too much control.
Love the Bakugo character development this episode
The parallels between Bakugo saving Deku "without thinking" just how Deku did during episode 2, when their bodies moved without thinking. Chef's kiss
Endeavor was straight cooking his ass. The animation on his fire attacks is always dope.

bakugou's development and growth is so beautiful. I am in awe of how far deku and Bakugou's relationship has come from the first episode. Bakugou's sacrifice was something that left me in awe ever since I read it in the manga. ofc Aizawa cutting his leg off was such a cool thing to do and took lots of guts.
16:58 Mickey’s right, those shots changed for this episode. It’s normally a shot of Shigaraki looking out at the city. They did something similar for the episode where Twice died, and there’s another one in the latest subbed episode that you haven’t seen yet
Aizawa did one of of the most metal things I've seen in an anime in a while.
The Bakugo stuff in the ending was only for this episode. They did the same thing with the episode where Twice died. Always pay attention to the endings!
The power AFO attacked Deku with we actually do see in s03, if yall remember AFO used it on Kurogiri when he forced to activate his quirk to teleport everyone from the scene as All Might came in and the duel started.

The endings have been changing per episode whenever someone's major arc is shown! It happened with Twice, it happened with Bakugo here, and it'll happen more times in the future.
The ending sometimes is a little different depending on the episode. In this case, there was that slight change to reflect the current episode; a little easter egg.
It's going to be the same case with some of the future episode if you guys want to look out for that
Episode 11: Y'all should make sure everyone is on the couch for that one, what a trip season 6 has taken us on

You have seen that "reversed black whip" before. It's the Claw-Extension that AFO used to combine with "Forced Quirk Activation" on Magna in Season 3. It's basically an Clone of Moonfish Teeth Quirk but with his Claws/Hands.

I have literally been so excited for you guys to watch this episode. In the intro, the whole time you talked about Aizawa losing his quirk I was sitting here like, GUYS you are NOT GONNA BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENS. And then proceeded to lose my mind when you reacted omg this was worth the wait haha.
I glad you guys are watching the dub. Cuz I need to refresh myself on what happened in past episodes cuz so much has been happening that I completely forgot my boy Erasure cut of his own leg.

I was rewatching season 1 and Micky said on episode 1x12 3:15 "so he was probably a kid, touched something and it died viciously in front of him, and so he was like, alright i guess i'm a villain.." he guessed shigaraki's back story!! Hahaha
We saw the "rivet stab" quirk which impaled Bkg and Endeavor during AFO vs AM. He used it to fling AM around as well as a conduit for another quirk, forcible quirk activation.
One of my favorite episodes so far from this season, it was absolutely jampacked and the character writing is excellent. Many season 1 flashbacks and some translation differences from the Japanese version. So let me talk a bit about that because it all ties to a plot point I'm personally very interested in:
In the manga and subs, Bakugou's "even if OFA is some kind of cursed power, it's still our only hope" is instead "even if OFA is a cursed power, OFA is..." and the rest is left ambiguous. That's always given me the impression that Bakugou has mixed feelings on the quirk: It might be cursed but it's the only power that can match AFO. It's allowing Deku to live out his dreams but is also destroying his body. It came from AFO but in the hands of AM it inspired a whole generation of young heroes, etc etc. And while saying "OFA is our only hope" puts emphasis on the quirk, I think it being left ambiguous with flashbacks to AM and Deku puts more emphasis on the wielders instead.
"From now on Deku is the name of a hero" was originally "I'm the Deku who always does his best" in Japanese.
And instead of Deku quivering in his shoes as he stands up against Katsuki in a training exercise, we get a shot of Deku now, looking feral and wild and spraying blood everywhere with his arms all messed up. It's scary: He's the Deku who always does his best and his best is currently killing him.
Bakugou is aware of how Deku's heroic spirit can be detrimental to his health while we've only ever seen it be praised before.
Lastly, Deku's "that's why I'm here" as he punches Shigaraki was "that's what this power is for" in Jp, and it's sad how he doesn't seem to think of himself as a part of OFA, but as a vessel for it.
I like how my hero is now silencing the haters
This season is literally just getting better every episode. I feel like they heard the criticism of season 5 and just said fine.

The ending changes depending on the episode. There is a regular one but when we have a character driven episode there will be special art that just hits different based on that episode. There was one for twice now in this episode we have Bakugo. Make sure to watch the ending two episodes from now.

I've never seen a character cries as much as Deku but Deku's crying is probably one of the best moment in this show. From crying for himself not being able to be a hero, to crying from rage of not being able to protect his mentors and comrades. Both reasons made him charge head first into danger. A statement to not underestimate an emotional man. Made me worry of what he could become if he's being pushed too far. Will he able to save people with all his might and a smile on his face like superman. Or will he be on a mission to exterminate all evil by any means necessary with a face of rage like the punisher.
Rana would miss the ep where Shoto shows up lol.

in the manga its even better at creating that ethereal monstrous feeling for shiggy, it doesn't translate very well to the anime just cause of the manga being in black and white, but shiggy's hair in the manga is specifically drawn without any outlines so it looks like its PURE white and almost glowing. i really recommend looking up the artwork for the cover of volume 25, the one where shigaraki wakes up from the tank cause it gives the vibe really well of how the manga showed him.
The beginning is perfect with Eraser Head. Fuckin savage! The ending with Bakugo. Absolutely amazing 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

The spikes were the same ones AFO used to forcibly activate Kurogiris quirk while he was unconscious during the Bakugo rescue and fight with All Might.

As someone who started watching MHA from a bit more than 1 year and hated Bakugo since 1X01. I finally have to admit his character development and put some respect on him. I just hope his development does't decay over the following episodes.

That tendril power has been seen before during the fight between AFO and AM. AFO used it to activate Kurogiri’s quirk and he used it to attack AM.

The endings for episodes 5, 9 and some future episodes do have some of the images changed for the episode specifically. 99% of the ED is the same, but on some episodes they change a few of the frames.
Rana needs to do an individual reaction to this episode. Hope it does happen if she can.

You have seen All For One use those rivets to stab people before back in Season 3. Back then he would use them to toss All Might around or combine them with Forcible Quirk Activation.
