You can tell this was such a great move for y’all!! It seems like an awesome idea to live somewhere you love and be able to make that works with jobs too. My question is, how do you keep from getting the horrid tummy trouble?? I got it so bad when we visited there that we haven’t been back to Mexico again. It felt like the monster from the alien movie was trying to claw out of my stomach every day. It was kind of funny because I got it on day 2 of the vaca and toughed it out with the help of the house Abuelita. The rest of the group got it as they returned to the US and every one of them felt like they were going to die and had to go to the ER for help.
Excellent video. Very inspiring. Going to Guanajuato in a week and a half to renew my temporary residency, then hopefully planning my move back!!! My body and mind need it. Thanks, Paul! 🙂
Thank you both so much for giving us this information. I have a question about the water. Have you ever had any trouble with any illnesses drinking the local water or shaving, bathing, and brushing your teeth with the local water? What do we need to know about that? I appreciate you both and thank you ahead of time.
I have lived in Mexico for many years. I don’t drink the tap water but I do bathe, use it to brush my teeth, wash my face etc. I think that even if I drank the water I would be fine but I play it safe and use purified water.
Very Nice place, wish I could move back to Mexico, kinda looks like this couple was exited, too bad they end up braking up, my wife doesnt want to move back so am afraid of ending up braking aswell.
Just found your channel! I’m also looking at getting temporary residency. I’m stuck here at fingerprinting I can’t find anywhere to do it where I live! Where did you go!!
I wanna do that. I want to return to the motherland. I am very grateful for all the U.S. has given me, but I feel something is missing, and I know what it is: community. I want my daughter to experience the Mexico I experienced, but probably that Mexico doesn´t exist anymore. So I´m hesitant.
Relocating to Mexico as a 66-year-old woman is feasible, but it’s essential to consider safety, healthcare, and lifestyle factors to ensure a comfortable and secure experience. Safety Considerations: Mexico’s safety varies by region. While some areas experience higher crime rates, many cities and towns are considered safe, especially those popular among expatriates. For instance, Puerto Vallarta, Playa del Carmen, Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, La Paz, Tulum, and Mérida are noted for their safety and are popular among retirees. Healthcare Access: Access to quality healthcare is crucial. Major cities like Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey have reputable hospitals and clinics. It’s advisable to secure comprehensive health insurance that covers medical services in Mexico. Community and Support: Engaging with local expatriate communities can provide support and ease the transition. Many cities have active groups that offer social activities, language exchange, and assistance with local integration. Cultural Adaptation: Familiarizing yourself with Mexican culture and learning basic Spanish can enhance your experience and help in daily interactions. Recommendations: • Research Destinations: Focus on areas known for safety and a welcoming environment for expatriates. • Visit Before Moving: Spend time in your chosen location to assess its suitability for your lifestyle and needs. • Stay Informed: Regularly check travel advisories and local news to stay updated on safety conditions. By taking these precautions and planning carefully, moving to Mexico alone at 66 can be a rewarding experience.
What are the jobs for locals? Would you consider interviewing people without college degrees, who aren't working from home, working physical jobs in Mexico that don't make USD? I'm interested in non-nomad style living. No airbnb rentals, living and working in Mexico. So that people who maybe have trade jobs and are making a pretty good living in the U.S. but would like to move to Mexico can see what their opportunities might look like. If even there are some. I'm thinking electricians, secretaries, sanitary workers, plumbers, city workers etc. what would living and working in Mexico look like for them? I've searched a lot online and I only find expats who work remotely or are retired, 3:13 moving and successfully living in Mexico.
Hi, I love it down there in Puerto Vallarta, I am trying to convince my wife to move down there but she wants to stay in the USA, I will keep working on her, maybe one day. I am just curious how much does it cost to live down there a month? I mean all in for everything?....thanks.
We've heard there is a water issue in Mexico. Is that true? Can you drink it? I saw a video where a young woman stated she couldn't even bathe in the water.
I'll call Bull on shopping only at small local businesses. The large supermarkets, they're owned by Mexicans and employ Mexicans so shopping at large supermarkets and even Costco which is partly Mexican owned employs Mexican citizens thus supports the Mexican economy.

What were you eating? I have only had bad luck with seafood and usually friends of mine have been sick from eating at all inclusives.
Excellent video. Very inspiring. Going to Guanajuato in a week and a half to renew my temporary residency, then hopefully planning my move back!!! My body and mind need it. Thanks, Paul! 🙂
Very cool! Thanks for watching 😃
See you around town!

The income that’s needed to moved to Mexico is quite a lot now compared to just a year ago am I correct?

I’m hoping to move my family to Mexico in the near future
Best of luck to you 🙌
I wanna do that. I want to return to the motherland. I am very grateful for all the U.S. has given me, but I feel something is missing, and I know what it is: community. I want my daughter to experience the Mexico I experienced, but probably that Mexico doesn´t exist anymore. So I´m hesitant.
@@sabinoluevano7447 maybe you can visit before moving 😉
YEA solid video thnk you

I'm a 66 year old single female
I. want to move to Mexico in the next year is it safe to do alone ?
Relocating to Mexico as a 66-year-old woman is feasible, but it’s essential to consider safety, healthcare, and lifestyle factors to ensure a comfortable and secure experience.
Safety Considerations:
Mexico’s safety varies by region.
Healthcare Access:
Access to quality healthcare is crucial. Major cities like Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey have reputable hospitals and clinics. It’s advisable to secure comprehensive health insurance that covers medical services in Mexico.
Community and Support:
Engaging with local expatriate communities can provide support and ease the transition. Many cities have active groups that offer social activities, language exchange, and assistance with local integration.
Cultural Adaptation:
Familiarizing yourself with Mexican culture and learning basic Spanish can enhance your experience and help in daily interactions.
Recommendations:
• Research Destinations: Focus on areas known for safety and a welcoming environment for expatriates.
What kind of work do you do?
@ I WFH as an event planner, most days are planning at home and then very few days are out meeting vendors and then the day of event lol
I don’t speak for all of mexico but everywhere I’ve been too I’ve had access to drinking water and bathe regularly.
my wife and I would love to make this move. My question to you guys what do you do for money?
They work from home.
Coman birria es muy delicious and enjoy Mexico
😋
I'll call Bull on shopping only at small local businesses.
The large supermarkets, they're owned by Mexicans and employ Mexicans so shopping at large supermarkets and even Costco which is partly Mexican owned employs Mexican citizens thus supports the Mexican economy.
I think they said they shop at both. It’s good to support the mom and pop shops too right?
What was the training you dogs had in preparation for the trip? Which transport company did you use? Many thanks
Amen to small businesses.
Your video said you are from Austin. The description of the video says you are from Houston and moved to Puerto Vallarta?
They are originally from Austin. Moved to Houston. Then to Puerto Vallarta.
