    Had to laugh. I did the pressure washing a few weeks ago. By the time I changed the oil, cleaned the air filter, changed the spark plug, gassed it up, I then managed to shoot the wand tip across the yard. Still got everything done but man I felt like a total idiot.

    I have been spoon feeding 4oz of greenpunch a month for the summer the lawn looked amazing all summer. Then I hit it with two blanket applications of Celsius wg one at the end of August and then again 14 days later. I didnt realize how much Virginia button weed was in my lawn. Celsius wg DEFINITELY shocked my lawn i am going to only apply it during the late spring from now on. Day 10 after that second application I was standing there looking at how bad it looked praying that my lawn would grow back. Day 14 I applied the bio stim pack and 8 oz per 1,000sqft greenpunch 18-0-1 and the lawn really started to come back.

    Anxiously waiting the results of the bad spot. I reseeded over labor day w/e (GCI TTTF) everything looks great. The only trouble spot I have is under a thin canopy of limbs and leaves. Though it has been watered and gets plenty of sunlight, it will not grow! Kind of frustrating.

    Just the tip. Your pressure washer will pull start much easier/ faster if you leave the water spigot off until after she’s running. I like to turn the water on just enough to lube the pump, start the engine, then open the spigot up. I hope this tip helps, as I owe you big time from all the tips you’ve given.

    Amazing work on that lawn. It looked like a re sod to me and you brought it back. Amazing . I'm in central Florida and my lawn is doing so much better this year from all the rain. But I'm battling sand spurs for 20 years now but this year they are much worse. I always just pull them and put them in the trash can, But I have a back injury now and it's much harder now. I just watched your iron video and someone told me years ago to spray iron on my lawn and they will stop growing. I got 5 gallon and never used it, But I just made up my mind I need to find something to git rid of them. Whats your thoughts? you seem to really know your business.

(shade.... bermuda just does not like ANY shade) I struggled with it forever. soil tests did not reveal anything... when i eventally dug it all up to plant fexcue you would not believe the stuff that came up.... oil cans, etc. i just figured that the soil was literally just contaminated too much to grow anything and covered it all with pine straw. Luckily it was in an area where that was an option. not so much in yours

    Hey, completely off-topic but I have a question I haven’t been able to find an answer to anywhere. I live in Alberta Canada and my lawn along with everyone else’s goes completely brown and dormant in the winter which I know is normal, and my grass will be fine. My question is, in the spring do those brown blades turn green again or does the grass grow new blades? To me it seems like the answer is it grows new blades because every spring I end up with a lot of dead material that doesn’t go away. I’m asking because I’m already looking forward to spring as my lawn is already starting to go dormant, lol. I’m just wondering if I should just scalp all the dead stuff off in the spring so I don’t get matting like I have every other year even after a good raking and don’t have so much dead material in the lawn. Thanks!

    Do you have a link for that brass tip you have been using to spray?

      The brass tip came with the My4Sons sprayer in the box, I'm not sure where you can get one after market. Here are the tips I use for flood sprays though www.sprayerdepot.com/products/tf-vs5-turbo-floodjet-wide-angle-flat

      Hey Trent, try looking at Home Depot online and order it that way. I don't think they ship to your home, but will ship to a nearby store for you to pick up, I got mine that way here in Albany NY.

    Why do you have fert bans? I’m in Australia and we don’t have them.

    Allyn , Can you give us some more info the VEXIS you put down for the sledges ? Is it safe for St Aug ?

    • @TheLawnCareNut
      @TheLawnCareNut  4 года назад +1

      safe for St Aug, works VERY slowly but works great. If you broadcast it, you won't see visual results for several weeks but one day you will just look up and all the sedges will be gone.

      Do you think it’s wise to use Vexis early so it gets ahead of the sedges? I have a few locations that get sedges every

    Pre-emergent vs weed and feed. I was planning to do weed and feed this week but should I do pre emergent instead?

      you can do both, they won't interfere with one another

    Are there any pre-emergents for yellow nutsedge, or recommendations on limiting how much grows in lawn?

      Pennant Magnum suppresses sedges but it is for warm season grass only.

    Why did space out ur pre M app so wide like that, march 9 and may 5 was there a method to your madness?(cos you often say 30-45 days later for second app)

    • @TheLawnCareNut
      @TheLawnCareNut  4 года назад

      I actually only did one pre-m app on the bermuda when I should have done two. I also should have used pennant magnum instead of prodiamine since there was doveweed there but I could not have known that. Next year for sure I will be applying pennant in mid spring.

    Is it OK to throw down a preemergent with new sod while also throwing down fert?

    • @TheLawnCareNut
      @TheLawnCareNut  4 года назад +1

      I would not do that. Depending on the grass type, some pre emergents can stunt the sod.
