In one of the review one RUclipsr highlighted you can tighten the bolt hex nut at the bottom of the supports on the wheelstand with an Alan key to make it much stiffer. It’s quite loose out of the factory.
This is true. I used mine fine for about 3 days and than noticed I didn't touch the screws at the base where it folds. Than went through and tightened those and checked over all others and now its very study.
@@JtotheMyeah man I was using a cheap $60 stand before this and it was very unstable and impossible to adjust into a good spot. This thing is quality and so adjustable. I just wished the wheel deck could tilt up slightly more.

There is potential in your reviews, but this was a bit of a rambling. You kind of spend more time diluting or softening your points than actually making those good points. When speaking of belt vs entry DD I think the word you are looking for is weight. There is continuously changing weight in steering with good belt drive that transfers very well the feel of tire rubber biting or not biting to road surface. Its the continuously adjusting weight that tells you how much grip there is. I havent tested the 10+nm DD wheels if the tech is able to replicate this constant rubbery weight, but atleast the entry DDs seem to strugle and are more about the separate detailed effects. Maybe a modern DD motor with sturdy but a tiny bit rubbery belt drive would be the perfect combo
you absolutely get weight transfer in the mid range.. what entry level dd bases have you tested? you should still get it in them to just with less of a feeling of weight.. of course this depends on how much the sim has modelled the suspension in to the ffb.. how ever aside from the g pro which requires most of its tuning in sim and feels very good with out to much messing around the other DD wheel bases especially moza and fanatec require a bunch of tuning in their drivers to get that nailed
actually sounds like hes talking about the static friction setting which of course would be inherent to belt drive wheels where as your referring to weight transfer .. thats an issue specific to the t598 and its drivers not DD wheel bases
It depends heavily on the games FFB support. If you can't adjust friction via FFB settings, you're screwed in that game with some DD's, but most games have friction settings that allow you to replicate that feeling better than a belt drive. I actually don't even turn it up on my T818 set up, the FFB drivers are insanely good at overall feel and detail. Worlds above my TX or my G29. My Moza R12 setup that's mostly for truck sim, I have to turn up friction in a lot of games. Moza still isn't up to snuff on their drivers compared to people that have been doing it a while. I will say they've improved a ton recently though 👍 Thrustmaster has always had best in class FFB drivers imo
I want that wheel and a T598. I have two rigs, one for pc and triple screens with a Fanatech DD+, and one with a T300RS and T-LCM pedal set for the PS5 / GT7 / PSVR2. Eventually I’m going to go Simagic on the pc rig and move the Fanatec over, but this looks nice enough that I can put that plan off for several years.

I like a lot of the punch sensation when you take a piano, this is not the same feeling in the t598, people are saying also the the harshness of the steering is more precise and less powerful like for example a TG-II this is real? I want some punch and resistance in the direction, this is my point. I don't want a barbie car direction and this is my fear with this base
I'm just having to invest in converting my old TM rims with the new quickrelease... already have a whole bunch of them... even the picture i took of my rim wall is now used on ebay to show off how to wall mount the rims...

@JM-SPORTS- the Fanatec is a more mature wheel base right now with peak support for games. The T598 is a brand new experience that will take time to mature so as it sits right now the Fanatec is the best choice for a full feature setup. The Thrustmaster T598 is definitely competitive though. Honestly I really like them both.
You love your sim racing. Does it not make you want to go out and buy a corvette or something? Does FoMo Froggy get Fomo for fast cars or is it just consoles and gpus?? I dont even like cars but admit its so easy to catch the car bug.
After watching your Fanatec 8nm comparison it seems like its miles away from that. Was hoping it was close at half the price but guess that was unrealistic.
Honestly it's designed to be cost effective and offer an affordable entry-level DD wheel for consoles. The fact that it gets close to the 8NM Fanatec DD pro is pretty impressive. The T598 is definitely worth the money.
8NM DD Pro is better but if you have to chose between the 5NM DD Pro and The T598 i would get the T598 it's a better overall value with a 300mm rim. But you can build a DD Pro bundle with a 300mm rim it will just cost around 100 dollars more than the GT bundle get the T598 and save some money
Dude, are you really complaining about having to map buttons? 1. Whatever the 'recommended' settings are you're going to want to personalise them anyway. 2. You only have to do it ONCE!
This wheel made me fall in love with sim racing I'm coming from a t150 and not cockpit now i got the t598 and the logitech trophy I'm hooked

You could easily put supports on for the stand, depending on the tube width,quick release bimini fittings and some stainless tube would do it.

G Pro is in WAY different price range than T598 or DD Pro. Should compare to DD pro extreme and T818 (not PS). I wish we had T818 for PS..
I am looking to get T598 for my first ever sim racing, I have ps5 and pc, so I want to hop on both them.
I'm very happy with it and it works great on both platforms.

I think if people are going to invest so much in 300 to 400 dollar rims, I'd just go with the t818 .
T818 doesn't work on PS5 sadly 😞

no it does get warm but it remains great for long periods of time without issues.
So i bought the t598 but i didn't get a members club card in my box because if i did i would have gotten that gold hyper car rim😢

Waiting for the uk release of the t598, currently running a t300rs gt so hope will be a big difference.
