Gran Turismo in REAL LIFE

- After thousands of racing gamers competed online, 12 of them were flown out from around the world to Atlanta Motorsports Park for an NFL-style combine evaluation. Since I made the jump from gamer to IRL champion myself, I was invited to judge these drivers. Based on their performance in this event and another later this Spring, each of these gamers have the chance to be drafted into a real life racing pro-championship hosted by @racing_prodigy later this year... But who will prevail?
Guys, I shared the Racing Prodigy story with you all last year, and some of you actually got the chance to drive a real race car because of it. There are even more slots available for Prodigy Week 2 in the Spring, so if you were on the fence about it, hopefully this video is the motivation you need to take the leap. Remember! You don't necessarily need to be an "alien" on the simulator to get selected by the Prodigy Search Committee, just be able to tell a good story!

As someone who went from Iracing to competing in real formula 1600 and prokarting through scouting its really nice to see other drivers getting that opportunity to and hopefully racers can be more like this in the near future.👍

Amp kart mechanic here: every one of the crg karts had that same breaking issue, we were always fussing with it to get them to have break pressure the first time you tried it because public drivers didn't catch that pumping them helped
That pressure will be alleviated later when driver participated in more racing contests.Maybe each new game is a nice opportunity to improve skills for all drivers

Currently i dont drive on iracing (yet) because of lack of time and money, but i will definitely keep racing prodigy in my bookmarks 👍🏻😉. I love it how such parties make racing more accessible. This video gave me memories of the nissan GT academy

This video changed me, i'm not even kidding. I am struggling with the expense of starting a karting career and hopefully moving up all the way to either formula E or Indycar, and this is just a game changer. I'm glad to be able to have an opportunity for something like this, I will definitely try my luck this year on street kart racing!

Hey Cameron, I have been really interested in the chance of starting to race. If I start with an irl path, what are some options that I should look at to start with? If I choose to go towards the sim racing route, *I either want to get into the WEC or Formula 1* what is a sim setup that you would recommend me start with?
For starters, it really depends on your age with path makes more sense. WEC is better if you’re over the age of 16 today, and there are more options to become a paid pro drivers than in the formula ladder (where there is none till F1).
Sim setup wise, you don’t need to spend a lot to be quick, but the more expensive equipment is generally better at making things feel realistic. I’d start with a Logitech g920 unless you can afford a direct drive wheel. I like MOZA’s stuff for the affordable end and Asetek’s stuff for the mid-range.

2:57 true i was so light i had to have weights on my right side and most corners went left so the car wouldnt turn so i was almost always a back marker except in wet races i would normally win them all having 6 wins under my belt 5 wet and 1 in dry personally my best drive ever with like e=very good competitors

I play on Xbox and I've always had a dream to race, I started driving rental karts at 10, could anyone help me with getting into professional sim racing, I have a wheel and pedals Ive just started racing, if anyone could give me a chance or advice id be very thankful and grateful, I'm not asking for millions just advice or somewhere to start before I'm to old
There’s never a straight road to Motorsports. “Sim racing professional” is just a lot of seat time. Years and years of practice and racing online till you start placing well in top ranked tournaments, it’s pretty straight forward. Exposure like streaming on YT and building a channel will help in the long run. My advice sim race till you get your drivers license and save up for a cheap track car like a s2000 or e46 and go to local track days and autocross events…. From there you’ll know if something you wanna do as a career or hobby
