- A Philadelphia judge has denied a union's request to delay the deadline for city workers to return to the office full-time.
The ruling came after two days of testimony over a lawsuit brought against the city by AFSCME District Council 47.
That means the 20% of the workforce that has been on a hybrid schedule will be in the office five days per week starting Monday.
Judge Sierra Thomas Street said Friday she didn't think the union was able to prove reputable harm.

Don't believe it!!
The harm in having a decent paying job, what am i missing?
They want to still work from home
Great job, great pay, great benefits, great pension, great job security …… but they don’t want to go to work ?
why commute to work, pay for gas, pay for parking, just for an email job? doesnt make sense for anyone. city doesnt need to pay for the office space plus cost of running it. city wants to waste money just so people like you think something is happening. oh well
Ill take that job
All those that don’t report back unless there is a medical condition that would prevent them from working in the office should be fired.
Bye Bye ,hire people who need and will appreciate a job
No more waking up at 7:58 logging in going back to sleep and checking your messages going back till 4:30 checking your messages and maybe responding to a few messages and missed calls because of the voicemail being full for days, off your ass and on your feet !
With those demographics, only about 3% of the people at home were doing any work.
😂😂😂😂, No more working from vacation spot’s.
Unbelievable
The mayor travels outside the city to nearby county,, Bucks Montgomery, Delaware. All those government worker are not at home. They are working in the township or county government buildings that they are assigned to. She also checked in with largest city mayors to get an idea of what what could happen if they don’t return back to work and what the cost of that would be for taxpayers. Let’s all have some respect for the mayor and police commissioner. These two are truly honest and cross in every way, and if nearby towns and townshipsand city workers are all in the office. What makes Philadelphia any different.
Robin's Hood - that area is targeted - William Penn statue - Liberty One and LIberty Two in the shape of hypodermic needle, 8 Chase Bank and 17th and JFK Comcast HQ Global - if that goes down all communication goes down
Traffic is gonna be the worst it's ever been since before the pandemic. Thank goodness I'm off next week.
Septa works.
@@yvonneplant9434 No thanks! 🤣
I hope all city employees work for the people. This city has a lot of potential however it is not safe for the elders. There are too many steps, no parking, too many one ways streets few green spaces and it’s trashy. So I hope the people who were at home are the missing piece. I’ve been waiting 50 years for a change so maybe this is it.
🎉🎉🎉 imagine working for the city and actually having to go to work in the city?! Imagine calling your paycheck,, Your job a hardship?!
I’m not a city worker but if a citizen tried to “touch and feel” me at the workplace I would sue parker so hard she would “feel” it.
If the work gets done what is the problem?
Ha ha too bad how sad. 😂
Incase you weren't aware pointlessly working in an office when you can do it from home is only a way for them to control you.
Get back to work you lazy public employees.
Your free ride is over.
You’re the one who is lazy you never work at all. These people have rights as well. But apparently you can’t understand that can you?
Nothing gets done in this administration anyway!
