This is one of the most important and impactful songs they have shared with us. Jungkook wrote this for Army and it’s such a beautiful concept that they don’t say they can fix eve just offer a place of peace for a cup of tea and they ask us to give ourselves as much love and good energy as we give to BTS as fans, give the best of us. And show them in the “show me I’ll show you” that we are loving ourselves as being as precious as we treat the guys. This song has helped countless millions of Army.

There's a recent video of BTS at an awards show (I believe The Fact Music Awards) where BTS had been on stage accepting an award and as they were walking off, Jungkook sang "So show me..." He and V were grinning from ear to ear cause they knew what was about to happen. 💜 ARMY didn't miss a beat and came in loud with our "I'll show you!"
That's a very meaningful and special call and response for both BTS and ARMYS! 💜

70 year old Army here. This song was a gift to Army and one of the best of all. According to some Armys, this song literally saved them when they needed it most. They still talk about it. "You gave me the best of me so you'll give you the best of you". Think about that.

My response to this song is very internal. I'm going through recovery from a health crisis. I put this song on a tiny playlist. All four songs on the list run at approximately heartbeat tempo. Using a pulse oximeter or blood pressure cuff, I actually see my vital signs improve as the four songs play. The effect is so beneficial to my health that I sometimes let the playlist loop for like three or four hours. The music never loses its ability to calm and warm my emotions. There is a lot a lot a lot of emotional intelligence in how the music and words are delivered by the BTS members.
The four songs are With You (Jimin and his friend Ha Sung-Woo), Butterfly (BTS), Magic Shop (BTS), and Mikrokosmos (BTS).
This is the BTS song that first brought me to tears - because JK wrote it as a call and response, to offer solace to armies, but also to make us all promise to believe in ourselves.
People who see it and sing it live... This song has literally saved lives. And it's brilliant, and generous - the idea that if we could love BTS hard enough to make their dream real, we can love ourselves that much too.
"You gave me the best of me so you'll give you the best of you" is a statement of faith in our ability to believe in ourselves. And that "I'll show you" is... Well, it's basically promising to show BTS all the ways that each of us is uniquely beautiful.
And this man young enough to be my son was the force behind it.

Jungkook wrote this song for ARMY's, and of course the rappers wrote their verses for it as well. This is a fan favorite, and played during ARMY time. BTS has at least one song on every album written for ARMY's, and their Map of the Soul Persona album all but two songs on that album were for ARMY's. The two that weren't were Intro: Persona and Dionysus. Then the follow up album had We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal. That one is a tear jerker, and it's about their journey with ARMY. Thank you for the reaction, I actually have gotten through some tough moments in my life with this song. I hear Jungkook's voice singing "Show Me, I'll Show You". The last time I remember was when I was getting a CAT Scan, and the machine was really loud and I was terrified, and I heard Jungkook singing to me. Crazy, right? 💜
Magic Shop falls into my favorite category of BTS songs, the emotional stadium anthems that create a deep connection with ARMY. I bundle it with songs like Answer: Love Myself, Young Forever, and Mikrokosmos. Glad you enjoyed it!

This is a type of psychotherapy that utilizes group interactions to delve into emotions, relationships, wants, desires, etc. (taken from google) Jungkook wrote this song after reading a book called Into the Magic Shop by a neurosurgeon named James R. Doty. The technique he used as a child to adulthood is similar to meditation and it helped to ground him in his life as he became a surgeon. It's a great book I've read it myself and it's really inspiring. I thank Jungkook for introducing us to this technique and book because this song saved a lot of people's lives.
Jk Jk Jk Jk i only read Jk..not have any BTS word there...i think rap is almost half of the song..and I do believe that rap line wrote their verses..at least gave credit to them...why the whole comment section is about Jk..I think all of them has experienced writing lyrics in different songs...but I never see any comment section full of jooni or yoongi...I think they are army..but here, I don't thing these people are....

This song has meant the universe to me its comforted me through out the years on everything I've gone threw personally and I cry to this song every time it has sentimental value to me.

This specific song & live performance is what makes me decided i wanna join the ARMY community. I've already watch their vids, live performances and songs. Im starting to love these boys, then this video was recommended to me. Something hits me deeply in this song. I was crying the whole day bcs of this song not exactly knowing why. Its just theres this overwhelming emotions i needed to let out hearing this song. Maybe its the fact that this song was the comfort i needed my whole life. When u have no one understands your struggles in life, bts are such emphatatical group of people who somehow -though live a completely different life than me, makes me feel so understood within. The line "you gave me the best of me, so youll give you the best of you" is what breaks me the most. Most common thing we would here from someone is "u gave me the best of me, so i'll give you the best of you". Its knowing these people know they wont be able to give anything of them to us physically is what makes this parasocial relationship army have with bts so fullfilling & wholesome. That line was about comforting & uplifiting others without sacrificing anything of them. It just hits me that 'thats right, i havent been doing the best for me. That was the biggest undone thing in my life'.
Before i watch this live perf. Ive come to know that bts & army are not like other artists & fans out there. I realize they carey huge missions of spreading bts's musics & contents that are mainly about bringing positivity to the world. When i found out that ARMY stands for Adorable Representative MC for Youth, I know these guys arent a joke 😂😭 but after this song, ive decided, if this is what the community is all about, i wanna be part of it. Such amazing young men who have deep passion towards their art & who they are. Here i am now reaching 2 years of becoming BTSARMY 💜

Magic Shop, basically, is a psychodramatic technique that exchanges fear for a positive attitude. The song is based on Dr James Doty's book "Into the Magic Shop " : a type of psychotherapy where a therapist takes on the role of a magic shop owner (it comes from a series of children fantasy novels Magic shop by Bruce Coville) who attempts to barter with “customers” in an attempt to satisfy their needs and wants in a constructive way. When you walk into the magic shop, you may ask for anything or try to sell what you don’t want. Everything comes at a price though. What you come in looking for isn’t always what you leave. A few of the lyrics of Magic Shop talk about how the boys want to replace ARMYs “sadness and pain” for “comfort”, much like the way the psychologist/therapist acts as the shopkeeper to exchange one thing for another. It's the second "offical fan song" after 2!3! , the first JK took a lead in writing and producing, besides RM, Hiss, Adora, J Hope,Suga and others.
A Song by BTS for Army, to comfort them, and also a promise : BTS will always be there for Army. It's one of my favorite BTS comfort song, (with Serendipity and Zéro o' clock) ;
