How do you prepare your gear for quick grab and go for the after work hunt? When time management is essential to making it to the stand in time for an evening hunt what is the best method of keeping your hunting gear organized and ready to grab?
How does the average person do it or Mark? For Mark he just has his personal assistant purchase new gear the day of the hunt and his personal guide awaits him at the hunting location where his chauffeur drives him to and helps him with his bags...
How could y'all forget about Johnny Cash?

Here’s a question. Why doesn’t vortex fill the whole in the market by offering a High Gloss option on at least one scope? I have vortex scopes on the majority of my rifles and I love them all. But nobody offers a high gloss option which would be appropriate for a Weatherby Mark V or other beautiful wood rifles.

AM radio news stations are my favorite! When I do listen to music it's classic Norse music with languages I do not speak or know very, very little of (muy poquito). Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Icelandic and such. It spurs my imagination to figure on, and to my beliefs on what they're singing about. It is simply wonderful, beautiful music.
The obvious best song of all time is the American national anthem, The Star Spangled Banner, without question. It reminds us of the things our founding fathers did to ensure our freedom in this amazing country.
Meatball of the month idea… what is the most overrated household name firearm?? Think Remington 870 or 700, Winchester model 70, colt 1911, beretta m9, Ruger American or m77, and all the others that I can’t fit into this list. Curious to see what the guys thoughts are. Let’s start out I do love these! However Mark… highs are high and lows are LOW!!!! You start out with AM Radio, Price of Winter wheat, I would presume white new balance were present than Marks drops highwayman wow was I impressed! All I could think of was old man status achieved! However forgetting the name of the one and only JOHNNY CASH!!! I couldn’t hear a single word after this comment. All I can say you have some work before you can lace up those white new balance shoes again my friend!
The perfect hunting sandwich is as follows:
- Chunky/extra chunky peanut butter.
- Locally sourced honey.
- Banana slices.
- Bread with the crust still on.
I will not be elaborating further.
Meatball - Also could be it's own "10 minute talk" your ideal perfect pair (carbine and pistol with the same chambering) suitable for the majority of your hunts. Make, model, and loadings you intend to run. Why your selections will best fit the roles you dedicate to them. I.E. Jim could run a Henry Big Boy-X in .357 mag to pair with his scandium snubby. A defense pistol and a tacti-cooled carbine he could run suppressed at the range or out in the deer woods.
I don't know, gonna be hard for Ryan to beat Mark after that tounge comment. I completely agree, the tongue is one of the best cuts of meat. I recently got addicted to sweetbreads, and they are disgusting to look at, but Mollejas Tacos rules the world. And Beef Cheeks are another odd cut I've had recently that is amazing. Tripe and Testicles don't interest me though...EDIT: Mark just got cheated on the Highwaymen, Cash was in the band also...I don't listen to any heavy metal, sorry. That is a classic band, the Highwaymen. I did sell vintage guitars for a bit, so I may be bias, the Highwaymen was a classic. EDIT2: how can you believe Google when there are many types of Elk? They can't all run the same speed as they vary in size...Hmmm...
Wow didn't see Ryan as a melodeath guy, check out Fraught by Bel'akor, it's like the 6.5x54R of metal. Sort of.
Deer shank most underrated cut. I make Mississippi pot roast. 4 shanks, 1 packet powder brown gravy, 1 packet powder ranch dressing, 1 stick butter, 1 16oz jar yellow banana peppers with juice, and 1/2- 1 jar (from the peppers) of water. In crock pot about 4 hours, remove shanks, debone, and shred meat removing tendons, serve over Texas toast with a slice of cheese melted on top of the bread like an open sandwich.
Well, Jim's trigger finger is being much happier towards Mark.

Nothing specific that you mentioned today. But as a northern I've heard that you use us as an example that we use a 270 for everything from a brown bear to coyotes.
And I don't understand why people think you need more than that for animals that size. I hear dead is dead and I agree so I don't understand why you think that caliber wouldn't work for a brown bear.
I use 150 grain federal fusion. I think that bullet does extremely well. I wouldn't use a Berger, so I guess you need to use the correct bullet. But I think that goes for any caliber.

Ryan is a Grade A Pro when it comes to making waste his own time. Funny part is Mark goes after it every time.
