Sex is not "assigned" at birth. It is simply "observed" or "noted" at birth. If gender is fluid, but biological sex is fixed by nature, why must biological sex be transformed unnaturally to mimic the opposite sex when one's gender identity doesn't match one's biological sex. It seems to make more sense to simply ask society to accept those biological males who are more effeminate than others and those biological females who are more masculine than others.
Regarding those who say they "feel like" the gender that is opposite their biological sex, I don't know how this is even possible. In reality, none of us actually know what anyone outside of our own body feels, let alone what those in bodies of the opposite biological sex feels. I know what it feels like to be me, but I can't honestly say that all other biological males experience life as I do. I know that women are different than men, but I've never experienced life as a woman, so I don't know how I would possibly have a clue about how "being a woman" feels. It's nothing more than conjecture, really.
And it's unlikely there will ever be a way to change one's chromosomes or DNA.
If one puts Ferrari rims on a Chevy, it's still a Chevy. One cannot change their sex. Period. End of story.

Biological sex is one of the most binary things there is in nature, everything else is a continuum. No matter how strong the desire to have the genitals and secondary sexual characteristics of another gender, no amount of self-claiming, hormonal injections or any amount surgery will ever change your fix biological sex.

Everything about males and females is different. Our sex organs of course but also our skeletons, our musculature, tendons and ligaments, our brains function differently, our emotions are predictably different. You cannot “feel” like a woman unless you are. You may have a fetish about having a vagina or wearing women’s clothes but you can’t possibly “feel” like a woman unless you are female. That said, it should be a persons choice to wear clothes typically associated with women or makeup or whatever else you feel like donning but you are the sex you are and there is no changing that. You can be whatever type of male you want to be or whatever type of female you want to be but you are in fact that sex and you can’t change it.

It continues to amaze me how many people are completely oblivious to the biological definition of sex as a reproductive role. It's not determined by secondary characteristics like chromosomes or genetalia; sex is determined by an organism's potential to produce either large, immobile gametes (eggs) or small, mobile gametes (sperm). The former individuals are - by definition - female, and the latter are - by definition - male. And unless there is some highly advanced gene editing method that I'm unaware of, there is *no* possible way to change one's sex and start producing the opposite gamete type. As Helen Joyce once put it, it's not just the breasts and vagina and estrogen that makes her a female... *every single cell* of her body carries that reproductive role.

No worse, because it’s not backed up by research, years and centuries, sources, and also cross verified by its opposer…. Science is religions opposer and as far as I can tell the belief in religion is backed by scripture, dates, CENTURIES of passing on stories and knowledge, and religions own opposer even verifies some dates and artifacts and what not, or even has natural explanations for some of the supernatural things described in religion……
Literally the only evidence this whole movement has is that people sometimes are attracted to just about anything, and also will make themselves appear and act in any way they deem fit…. So a man can love a man, but there’s still a MAN (and a woman) like, I can put on a wig and stuff my shirt and make myself appear “more like a woman” but that doesn’t make me not man or even something else or inbetween….. it’s so funny this whole ideology. All the different sun categories of rainbow people also in fight and make claims that “debunk” or “erase” the “truth” and and legitimacy and the experience of other rainbow groups….
Hell it seems even gender dysphoria and trans people genuinely seem to go through hell and have no idea what’s even going on with THEMSELVES. How can you even claim that you can claim to be something? Last time I checked your identity was based on how OTHERS view you…. Identity is negotiated with society….. you can’t identify as something that others refuse you are EVEN if those others are LYING! Think about it, someone could lie about your identity and even though it’s not true, because that person is lying, others might think it’s true and that can effect you LIKE it’s true! Got ‘em there too!
Literally I can’t imagine the mental pain/gymnastics these wackos must put themselves through….. like, gay people exist, people who claim they are the OPPOSITE sex exist, people claim to be all sorts of thing, do all sorts of things too. But at the end of the day, you are what you are. The harder you try to pretend your not-the harder your life will be and the harder you make it for ALL those around you. What’s with the PUSH for all this crap? Last time I checked, gay people and trans people just are gay or trans and find that out on their own and make all the changes themselves without being told how to do it or what they should do….. don’t need the propaganda because the propaganda will only confuse CONFUSED and SUSCEPTIBLE people. The real gays and trans find a way to be gay and trans lol…. If everyone knows what gender they feel like even as a CHILD then surely we don’t have to talk about it at ALL no?

When I first saw this channel, I thought it was a way to get one person's (or group's) views across, but I took the time to watch a few more videos and see this as a great way to communicate across the board. It made me think critically about how I view open discussion. Just because the questions are difficult (at times), it's FAR better to talk it through and visualize where we are at on a scale versus seeing ourselves and others in extremes. Sure, there are definitely extremes but that just proves how Peter's scale and open communication among the different opinions works.
The people who seem to get mad or try to disrupt the conversations are the ones who don't have the skills to think critically, but once they are introduced to it (and open to CHOOSE to listen to other viewpoints) it's a step in the right direction.
Thank you, Peter, for asking the difficult questions in our society so we can understand the people around us. This might reduce violence and open up civility in our culture even on a small scale.

Then, a little while later, she just shrugged and said that "it [was] the most basic argument she [could] think of", proving that she didn't even grasp that to convince an opponent in a debate one has to provide the best possible argument, one that is susceptible to actually motivate the other person to reconsider their position. sex:
the state of being either male or female in most species of metazoans. In humans, each cell nucleus contains 23 pairs of chromosomes, a total of 46 chromosomes. The first 22 pairs are called autosomes. Autosomes are homologous chromosomes, that is, chromosomes that contain the same genes (regions of DNA) in the same order along their chromosomal arms. The 23rd pair of chromosomes are called allosomes (sex chromosomes). These consist of two X chromosomes in most all females, and an X chromosome and a Y chromosome in most all males. Females, therefore, have 23 homologous chromosome pairs, while males have 22. The X and Y chromosomes have small regions of homology called pseudoautosomal regions. The X chromosome is always present as the 23rd chromosome in the ovum, while either an X or Y chromosome may be present in an individual spermatozoon cell gamete.
An extremely minute percentage of humans are either (anatomical) hermaphrodites or of indeterminate sex (or to be more accurate, disordered sex). That does not negate the incontrovertible FACT that there are but two sexes/genders. In order for reproduction to take place, there is the requirement of a female ovum and a male sperm to unite, and because the entire purpose of the gender/sex division of most species of animals is to enable procreation, the sexual identity of an individual is best classified according to the gametes produced by the individual in question. There is no third gamete. Cf. “gender”. Both terms (“gender” and “sex”) originate from Latin words: “genus” (meaning “begin”; “birth”; “kind”; “race”; “gender”) and “sexus” (meaning “sex”; “division”; “gender”).
If the reader is curious to know the reason for this term being included in the glossary of “F.I.S.H” (apart from the fact that it is actually used in a handful of chapters), it is because, in recent times, LEFTISTS have been desperately trying to change the meaning of the words “sex” and “gender”, in order to serve their immensely-perverse agenda to destroy civil society with their hateful, wicked, immoral ideologies, especially by promoting the nonsensical idea that a person is able to transition from one gender to the other.
      gender:
the state of being either male or female, and because the entire purpose of the gender/sex division in most species of animal life is to facilitate procreation, the sexual identity of an individual is best classified according to the gametes produced by the person in question. There is no extant third gamete. An extremely minute percentage of humans are either “intersex” (typically referring to those who are anatomical hermaphrodites) or of indeterminate gender (that is, not easily determined by a cursory inspection of the external genitalia), but that does not negate the incontrovertible scientific fact that there are only two genders. As far as we know, there has never existed a single human being with the ability to BOTH conceive a child in his/her womb and, simultaneously, successfully inseminate a woman (or in more disturbing terms, for a hermaphrodite to inseminate him/herself). And even if such an individual has existed, that person would be a combination of BOTH male and female, and not some imaginary, novel third gender.
In those rare cases in which a human is born without gonads, the other characteristics of sex/gender would be taken into consideration - firstly, the allosomes (sex chromosomes) found in the DNA of every cell, and then, any extant genitalia, since even those females who have experienced the misfortune of being born without ovaries, for instance, usually have their remaining sex organs intact).
Cf. “sex”. Both terms (“gender” and “sex”) originate from Latin words: “genus” (meaning “begin”; “birth”; “kind”; “race”; “gender”) and “sexus” (meaning “sex”; “division”; “gender”).
So, essentially, the only significant distinction between the two terms is that the etymology of “gender” pertains to the beginning of things, as can be plainly seen by the other English words that originate from "genus", such as “generic”, “genetic”, and “generate”, whilst “sex” is a scrupulously-literal translation of the Latin cognate “sexus”.
The mere fact that the word “genitals” (referring to reproductive organs) is very closely related to the Latin “genus” is further evidence of the assertion that the term “gender” refers to the binary division of human (and of course, many non-human) sexual identity, and NOT to any taxonomy based on emotion, feelings, psychology, or any other non-biological categorization schema.
If the reader is curious to know why this term is included in the glossary of “F.I.S.H” (apart from the fact that it is actually used in a handful of chapters), it is because leftists have been desperately trying to change the meaning of the word in recent times, in order to serve their immensely-perverse agenda to destroy civil society with their hateful, wicked, sinful, objectively-immoral ideologies.
Until relatively recently, the word “gender” has ALWAYS been used in the etymologically-accurate sense of the term, and even in the former case, predominantly where leftist ideologues comprise a significant proportion of the population. See also “leftism”.
If you are truly wise and intelligent, you would surely have recognized several amazing secrets contained within the body of this treatise, “A Final Instruction Sheet for Humanity”. However, perhaps the most secretive secret, shall forthwith be revealed:
It is IMPOSSIBLE for a human being to change his or her sex/gender! (You are implored to keep this secret - do not tell a soul!!!)
For example, a man who castrates himself and wears a skirt or a dress is simply a mutilated, transvestinal male - not a woman or a female. Similarly, a woman who attaches an appendage resembling a phallus to her crotch and dons a pair of pantaloons, is merely a transvestinal woman with a fake penis between her thighs, and not a man, nor a male, in any accurate sense of the terms.
Actually, I would contend that any “man” who excises his reproductive organs was ALWAYS a dickless “man”, metaphorically speaking. 🤪

I find it fascinating that people seem to have a set narritive and certain talking points with this topic but their argument quickly falls apart when questioned further. It's completely hollow. This ideology is not something that has evolved naturally from within communities, in the same time period, on opposite sides of the world. Virtue signaling and tolerance have truly choked the power of common sense. The fact that we are even having epic debates on the issue of gender identity and sex which should be simple as black and white has signified how much our society has devolved. These are subjects that even a five year old can explain but in this society adults can't even define what the difference between a man and a woman is. The future of our children and children's children are not looking favorable at all its terrifying.

The insight I got from listening to the answers given by the two females are that it is wrong to assume that everyone actually cares about what is objectively true. It was shocking that the young woman, when asked about the implications of allowing males to compete with females, did not seem to grasp that it would mean the displacement of females from sport. The women appeared to be completely oblivious to both the incoherence of their position, and the wider implications of their position.

Sex isn't assigned at birth by a doctor or midwife, although it may be observed. Sex is determined at the point of conception, depending on whether the fertilising sperm carries an X or a Y chromosome.

So I raised my oldest daughter as neutral (the second one had her older sisters stuff to play with), I didn't put her in dresses when she was a baby, no more pink than any other colour. From about the age of 18 months -3 , she started to gravitate towards dolls, loved building houses with duplo and was obsessed with fire trucks. From about four, she wanted to wear feminine clothes and was into unicorns, fairies, mermaids and playing as a mum, she also still loved fire trucks, loved watching blippi, loved jumping in puddles and getting dirty and digging in the garden. Perhaps I influenced her interest in being a mum, especially as her younger sister came along when she was 4-5, but her dad and I both share cooking and cleaning roles and we were both very hands on parents. In fact I went back to work and he was a stay at home dad. She however very early on identified more with me than her dad. My point (of all this waffle) is that I think some of the sex behaviours are innate and perhaps not as socially constructed as we think. I am not professing that I am right, this is just my opinion based on observing my child as she grew.

That is exactly how sex based stereotypes could be formed in the first place. In every society, there are behaviours associated with each sex. Then the non conforming children were noticed to be so because they had behaviours like the opposite sex.

    • @465marko
      @465marko 8 месяцев назад

"Some of the sex behaviours are innate" - Only "some"??! lol
I think anyone who's had kids or been around kids can attest to this. This idea that we're supposed to believe - that all traditionally masculine and feminine behaviours are programmed into us - it's just lunacy. It's ridiculous.
And there are tons of kids who are less "typical" than others in many ways (I was girly little boy, hated sports etc.). In fact, ALL kids are going to be somewhere on that spectrum of gender-typical behaviours. Some are more like the opposite gender.
Parents and environment have *an* effect for sure. Like, if a little girl is never exposed to dolls or isn't allowed to play with them, she'll never gravitate towards them. But there's no question that the behaviours and things girls vs. boys *generally* gravitate towards is mostly innate. It cannot come entirely from environment.
And honestly, I really don't think there is a huge difference in how most parents raise boys and girls. Those expectations from the 50s don't exist anymore, if anything, we're trying to do the opposite. The differences arise because *generally* those kids have differences in behaviour.
That's my opinion based on observation, being alive and common sense, anyway.
      100% agree.

I told some of my female friends who support this nonsense to look up John Money, Alfred Kinsey, Fritz von Balluseck and Foccault etc to see if they'd still feel the same. They haven't budged an inch. I'm a woman and I expressed my concern to them about biological males in women only spaces, prisons, sports etc. I gave examples of each and the response was "you're always gonna get a bad egg" in something. I explained how trans ideology was eradicating gay rights but somehow I'm still the foolish gullible bigot. It really is pointless trying to reason with these people but somehow we must continue to try. I'm exasperated if I'm honest.

Yes, there are 0.2% intersex but they're the exception and not the rule. When I was a teenager we had ear piercing and punk rock but nowadays youngsters appear to use the whole gender thing to express who they think they are. Unfortunately they are making decisions that will have far reaching consequences and potentially ruin their lives. All exacerbated by the wealth of lies and misinformation being put out there by misguided and/or dishonest individuals. Hopefully, in a decade or two we can look back and laugh at how silly we were to allow this BS to have such a huge impact upon society.*

The referent for gender is biological sex. Without reference to the sexes “gender” is a meaningless word.
Its a messy concept nevertheless. It’s based on beliefs about how experiences and behaviours trend in the sexes when compared to one another. Some people claim gender is created by society, but sometimes you’ll hear biological experiences like having periods called “gendered”.

      sex:
the state of being either male or female in most species of metazoans.
