You can actually get more Texan if you ride a horse at the Alamo. Most likely you will be drunk, crazy and arrested. Cant get more Texan than that! Jk. Im a Texan. Joke. But riding on the beach in South Padre definitely comes in 2nd
Shit I always heard south Padre was a cool place to party... I drove ten hours to get here and it's shit. I grew up going to the beaches in New Jersey which are notoriously bad... And even I think that South Padre Island feels like the "great value brand" of beaches. The beach is super small. The waves are weak. The restaurants are horrible (except for 2 or 3). I would NEVER recommend this beach to anyone. Next time I'm going to Florida or south CA. The flights there are cheaper than driving from DFW to this place. They talk about this "sea turtle rescue" place like it's a big attraction... They have like 3 turtles in a cement tank. This island literally has NOTHING to do. No boardwalk, no attractions, no amusement park, no good options for food... It's the worst beach I've ever experienced

Sapphire looks pretty but the they don't offer anything above a good looking exterior. No towel service , jacuzzi takes forever to book.
