- I'm switching to Gerbing heated gear and starting the install with the first item - the Gerbing heated gloves . Installing the Gerbing battery harness connecting it to the Gerbing controller and finaly to the heated gloves.
Checking it out and if the results are good I'll start to switch over to Gerbing heated clothing including the Gerbing heated Jacket and the Gerbing heated socks.

It's always good to use zip tie
.. bc tape leaves the cables sticky and in the summer could melt bc its take .. remeber it's gets really hot under the seat in the summer great video. Enjoy the gloves
Thanks Sandy for another nice video showing exactly how to hookup all the Gerbing wiring. It’s a little intimidating at first but you simplify it! Nice trick with taping wires inside jacket, very useful! 👍 Going to go that route eventually. Goldwing Mike NY.
Hi buddy. 👍🏻
@@HOLYSHIFTSandy! We’re now buddies! AND I don’t even ride a Harley! That’s cool! See you at the Market some Sunday maybe...Goldwing Mike NY.
@@michaelfrascati7610 come say hello when you see me.
Glad your finally getting heated gear I’m glad stay warm enjoy another great video!!!!!!!
Nice and toasty warm...🔥
Thanks for the install video! I wasn't sure which way to go and it looks like this one will work well!
I went with Venture Heat gear because of all the wires etc from all the other brands. Venture heat gear has their controller built in to the gear. Love their stuff. Great video as always Sandy 👍🏼🔥
Thanks buddy !
Also, gerbing makes a controller with a turn nob which is easier to adjust while riding.
This new controller is wireless ready - another $25 and I get the wireless knob controller to put on my fairing...
@@HOLYSHIFT I picked up the wireless controller. I recommend it!
@@HOLYSHIFT You will run out of battery just when you need it. The wired nob controller will just always be there and ready.
Great vid. They sell an adapter that plugs into battery tender. I’ve been using it for years on my heated jacket and gloves.
Cool, thanks - but I think when you use adapter there is no fuse - right?
@@HOLYSHIFT there’s a fuse on the tender quick disconnect harness between the battery and where the battery Tender plugs in. I’ve been running the tour master jacket and gloves for years with no issues. Both Harley and battery tender harness comes with a fuse.
@@bikerboot888 gotcha..So it works then. Well too late for me,,,
@@HOLYSHIFT Next bike lol
Thanks for sharing the video. Looks like good gear.
Great video Sandy, I am still debating if I am going in this direction. I have heated grips on my CVO and also have heated vest and you saw from other video I have battery powered gloves when combined with heated grips it’s been working great for my 2 hour rides(typical for me). But if I do, you just saved me time and effort for an install video, I’ll just link yours! Lol.
Definitely for longer rides you need extra batteries or a connection to the bike... install videos are a pain in the Butt to make but usually have a good audience
@@HOLYSHIFT copy that!
The old harness used to be black. I couldn't find it anywhere, and had to go with red too.
Yeah WTF... it’s ugly! I need to find a black one
@@HOLYSHIFT: I heard somewhere to just use some black Magic Marker on it...
@@michaelfrascati7610 or just let your kid paint it...👍🏻 😆 LOL 👍🏻
keep the controller on the bike by the seat or on the fairing. Run the y-cable inside the jacket liner.
Gotcha!
nice work Sandy!
Thank you buddy !
Beautiful video
Hey Sandy: FYI I noticed both on Cycle Gear & RevZilla the Gerbing Innersoles are on Closeout. To me that means this product probably is due for an upgrade of some sort. Only $69. If available. Amazon $100, if available in your size. Let us know what happens. Goldwing Mike.
How come you chose not to use the 12v plug in the fairing? Do you need a Fuze to use it? I have the y cable, gloves and the controller... Along with the 12v plug. I haven't used it yet. Will it blow if I don't use a Fuze with the 12v plug?
Awesome video too! Very informative
If your harness is attached directly to the battery, you don't need to turn ignition on. The harness is constantly hot
Nice video bud! Just remember 10mm socket can be your best friend!
#tillYALOSEIT!
The next step just get the matching jacket... ur gonna hate all those cables flapping... the jackets connects to the gloves 1,2,3...
The other problem with the battery powered gloves is that they are mostly junk. I've bought a couple of pair and neither of them lasted more than a season or so before one glove died. I just got Gerbing gloves, yeah with the controller it was $300 but hopefully they'll last a few seasons at least, and I've already dumped $200 on gloves that altogether only lasted a bit less than 3 seasons and I had to mess around with pulling the batteries out to charge after every single ride.
I went with a dual controller because it's not much more than a single one and I think it's pretty likely I'll wind up with at least insoles at some point, if not a jacket or pants liner.
How would you rate the waterproof element on these gloves? Looking to add heated gloves because I dont have heated grips. Cold rain or below freezing temps are when these would be most useful for me.
I don’t know much about the rain resistance
Just wondering, don't you guys like heated grips? It would seem easier.
Yeah - I should have installed the heated grips when I put the handlebars on....
@@HOLYSHIFT actually I did exactly the same thing. Dumbest thing I ever did or didn't do.
Good video
Are the gloves bulky like snow gloves or sleek like?
I was surprised how sleek thy are ! Not bulky at all!
No soles, go with the heated socks, as The Zohan would say, "Avoid The Pain"
NJ Noodles
As an aircraft mechanic / avionics tech you need to use the right tools for the job. No tape, zip ties! Your a pilot, you should know better!
Apollo 13 was saved thanks to duct tape not zip ties ! 👍🏻 😆 LOL 👍🏻😅🤣😜🤪😂
Sandy go buy a bunch of various sizes of cable/zip ties and nix that awful tape man!!
I got zip ties... I’ll use them. 👍🏻
☃️
3 amp fuse?. Yep thats not gonna work
Yeah it blew on the first ride
