    Thanks for the video. I just got the jacket but I find it’s not very warm… it was a 12 degree day in the UK here and I had it set to number 5 and could barely feel much warmth from it, but other people say it’s too hot to even run it on 5??

      They are amazing, there are a few other brands on the market but when I did my research Gerbing were the leading brand world wide so I decide to go with them. I tried the other brands at the motorcycle show but found Gerbing were far superior in heating. It’s a costly investment but worthwhile as now I can ride all year round and not have to worry about the extremities

    Really good video. Thanks for this.
    I have the single controller and all the gear, but the trousers burnt a massive blister on my right cheek and a bit on the left where the pocket is. It feels like there is a coil where it burns on the right cheek. It was on the 3 setting, 4 was unbearable. I have to pad it up by adding long John’s and two more pairs of underwear just to keep it from burning on the same spot.
    Everything else is great, gloves , jacket and socks.
    Is this something you experienced or have advise for ?
    I’m now sending the trousers back for exchange to see if it’s this pair I got.

      Sounds like the heat element is in too closer contact with skin, it may have moved from the isolated layer or could be resistance causing it to get hotter. Best thing is to return for Gerbing to check

    Would the full Gerbing Heated suit work good on and ATV? I use my quad for plowing snow in the winters for my own yard, and about a dozen other people, thought about this set up for the socks, pants, jacket and gloves, than toss my really thick winter coat over top to trap the heat in while I'm out for 5-6 hours, I have a separate heated snowmobile helmet that keeps the visor warm and clear, but do find inget a little chilly after about 4 hours of being out in -25C in just my normal winter jacket and ski pants.

    For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to order from their website. I'm in Maryland, USA and, in the check-out, it defaults to the UK or nothing at all. It just won't accept a non-UK address.
    Per their shipping policy, it appears they do ship outside the UK.
    Winter is coming, friends. Any recommendations?

      @@Motourev Ho hum,, I actually have the warm/safe jacket &pants, and have ellecy gloves,,, BUT having the full system is just too much faff,, so what I do is plug the jacket in (I ,v never used the pants) done.... Now I do not plug my gloves into my jacket (thats too much faffing) I plug the wires into my starter battery (line out) that I keep in my tank bag,, I have a small cheap controller to adjust as necessary.. I just find it so much better,, Yesterday I came down to London on my small bike ,, the electrics are not man enough to run the jacket and all .So I just used the gloves plugged in the starter battery and it worked a treat.. The starter battery is the Noco GB70 (no small affair and weighs abit,but will start a small Jumbo 747) I must say I have been enjoying your channel,, and intend some day to visit Minimotos..(or whatever)

    Brilliant video. It should be posted on Gerbing UK website as a freaking manual ))
    p.s. One thing I don't get is how do you connect gloves to a jacket because cuffs on these gloves go over your standard motorcycle jacket...so the port/cable on the gloves goes outside, but the cable from the Gerbing Jacket Liner will be on the inner side of your motorcycle jacket or did I miss something?

    • @Motourev
      @Motourev  Год назад +2

      They are long enough to come outside of the cuff of your jacket and into the glove

    • @Motourev
      @Motourev  Год назад

      That sounds like your bike or battery is struggling to put out 9amp as if it’s overloading it. I would try on another bike and if it’s the same it might be the single controller but if it works then it’s your bike.

    • @Motourev
      @Motourev  Год назад

      Also what size fuse do you have in the wiring

    • @Midlife5
      @Midlife5 Год назад

      @@Motourev Thanks for your reply. I’m running it all off the pigtail supplied by Harley Davidson for the battery tender. They said it would be ok but I’m thinking that maybe the fuse in it isn’t sufficient.
      Maybe I’ll need to put the dedicated harness with the 10amp fuse on?
      What do you think?

    • @Motourev
      @Motourev  Год назад

      @@Midlife5 yes 100% I would put the dedicated harness on, I bet the bike restricts that amount of amps through any of its wiring loom as it is a high draw of power.
