Nice work, just one thought on unloading- Instead of freespooling your winch and letting it slide off the way you did, after slicking the wheels with your wd40 or soap, slide the deck back far enough to clear the rail guides behind the cab, then tilt the deck up pretty steep and winch it down the deck until the front tires are just hanging over the edge of the deck. Now when you extend the deck to the ground, the wheels will be touching just enough that you can continue the way you did without risking the car sliding off too fast and causing any damage to the front end, or the transmission.
I HAVE to answer cannot stress this enough… HAVE to do this when i tow big ambulances… I have to do the opposite get my truck off under the ambulance lol its dope
Good job getting it done. At one point you have to drag the car cause it’s not in neutral so skates, WD40 or another slippery substance would definitely help with that process.
Ive never used DW40 lol all i do is tilt my bed ALLLL the way up and let the weight of the car slide it down till the (in this case) front tires were on the ground . 👍🏽
I guess because I've been doing insurance calls, my boss is like, just drag it! Never Ever mentioned anything about skates. Kinda raised a red flag for me, so it's that or I'm missing something.
I prefer skates if needed but alot not all cars can be flipped into neutral. This maybe effective but it puts a lot of stress on the hydraulics. And truck itself. Protect your equipment put in some work your truck will last longer and cost less in maintenance.
Yes, break is engaged or the PTO won’t release but the back wheels come up off the ground so it kind of defeats the purpose as long as the wheels are in the air
True story. This woman was living with my sister for years because she couldn't make it on her own. I barely know this woman (I very briefly met her way back in 2012, and I haven't seen her since), and somehow, her troubles are affecting MY life! Her car broke down, and she couldn't be bothered to call the tow truck herself, so she had my sister and brother-in-law do it for her. My sis and brother-in-law knew the tow truck driver, but he (the tow truck driver) mistakenly thought they all lived with me, so he came over to my house and mistook MY car for the woman's car! I was dead asleep and didn't hear him knocking. (I'm a night owl) Since my car was locked and he couldn't get the key, he had to winch my car onto his flatbed while it was in park! My brother-in-law came over just in time because my car was fully strapped on the flatbed by the time he got here. He had to knock on my window to wake me up. This all happened last week, and I've been paranoid about my car since. So far, everything seems to be okay, but I'm still worried. I'm scared to go on my 12-hour drive now. I don't know a whole lot about cars, but my car is a 2014 Honda civic. I don't know if my car has a safety feature that automatically disengages the parking brake while being winched or not.
Well im no expert, ive been towing 6 months and a mechanic 10 years. I'll say 99.9% chance it's totally fine. Dragging a vehicle a short distance rarely causes damage. It should still be avoided for that .01 chance something happens. If there was drivetrain damage it would have been obvious by now. Sorry that happened to you, that's definately annoying. But you don't need to lose any more sleep on it.
@@grigorirasputin996 Yeah, I took it to the Honda dealership and had them look at it because my car would sometimes shake a bit when slowing down. It turns out that both my front and back tires just needed to be realigned. I don't think it was the tow truck driver's fault, though, because he only kicked my front tires, not the back ones.
I do me pre inspection 🧐. Para no llenar de grasa o de jabón. La cama pero cada quien ase lo que quiere asta que los corren por madriar los defensas o las transmisiones. Por no usar los traqueteos de plástico valen 40 bolas. 🎱
Excellent video man! I have a question though. How would you go around offloading a FWD car that you had to pick up from the front and no skates available (Hypothetically)
Well you always wanna try to get it from whatever wheels are not locked it’s a front wheel drive try to get it from the back first so that way your wheels that are locked are closer to the edge of the bed and it will be easier to unload
But for whatever reason you can’t get it from the side that the wheels are free from either use your skates I’ll put some soap and water WD-40 to slide it down
Man that was a perfect job
Ty I try

Will do thank you for the feed back

Best Walking The Bed Tutorial
Thank you

So many ways to get any car up or down the bed other then jamming it back and forth to get it off the bed
Bro do it trust me
Always let the truck do the work
It’s easier to fix the truck, then it is to fix our back
Good job getting it done. At one point you have to drag the car cause it’s not in neutral so skates, WD40 or another slippery substance would definitely help with that process.

Use washing up liquid

So you walked the truck under just to pull it up the rest of the way anyway? Use skates next time and stop playing around.
lol 😂
What about AWD?
On all wheel drive, I will definitely would use skates or chains as skates
I prefer skates if needed but alot not all cars can be flipped into neutral. This maybe effective but it puts a lot of stress on the hydraulics. And truck itself. Protect your equipment put in some work your truck will last longer and cost less in maintenance.
Dude my truck I have full insurance on it , my truck is replaceable my back is not but thank you for ur input
It's not so much the insurance they won't cover mechanical failure. Its about cost savings on constant repair work.
lol I take care of me and let my truck do the hard work it’s easier to work on the truck than my back 🫶🏽
Step by step please holy shit bro that was dope😮😮😮 step by step
Thank you for watching
Bro that was awesome, it still looks like magic though 😮. Did you engage you parking break?
Yes, break is engaged or the PTO won’t release but the back wheels come up off the ground so it kind of defeats the purpose as long as the wheels are in the air

@@CarlosSanchez-hs2xy Yeah. Long story short, my car was mistakenly towed, and I was worried that it might've damaged my transmission and drivetrain.

@@Chris_P_Bacon62 I just realized you posted 3 months ago. glad everything's ok.
Don't do that on a hot asphalt driveway in the summer.
lol thank you
Good job! I can't do that with my truck because of the air ride.
Don’t lower ur bags ,hit your PTO and pull your air brake,But “do not hit the button to lower the air bags” and you will be fine
You should lower your bags tho if you're putting your bed down
Damn your good 👍 💪😎👍👍👍👍
Thank you
Thank you 🎉
In this situation the car must be in Neutral or Parking?
I do me pre inspection 🧐. Para no llenar de grasa o de jabón. La cama pero cada quien ase lo que quiere asta que los corren por madriar los defensas o las transmisiones. Por no usar los traqueteos de plástico valen 40 bolas. 🎱
Simon gracias
Don't drive drunk, and then you won't have to do this.
Pop the hood and release The linkage off the transmission
Could of but then no video 😅
Although driver looks very experienced. This can stress the tow truck out significantly overtime. Cause damage to concrete, wheel lift, etc.
You are correct correct you just do it correctly😢
Good example of making your equipment work for you, compa! If you have to work for your equipment, you got the wrong rig. Órale!
The rig is replaceable and fully insured my body and bones ain’t 😂
Towman127 LOVESSSSS to add his little 2¢ (and when I say little/I mean LITTLE LITTLE guy is 5’3 and 300 pounds)
😂
Good way to get a damage claim for scratched or chipped concrete, Or worse on hot asphalt.
Best bet is skates or neutral overrides.
You continue on my magnificent robot
Excellent video man! I have a question though. How would you go around offloading a FWD car that you had to pick up from the front and no skates available (Hypothetically)
Well very easy look at the Chanel and do the opposite of how this one goes off the bed
Or just carry a jug with you that has diesel in it and put it on the tires and do this technique
You can use soap and water or any slippery substance like WD40 and just slide the car off
Hope and pray your able to tow it from the front if at all possible
Bro u have a winch for a reason 😂
😂
So it matters which direction you load it on the truck to get it off with no neutral ?

Ove been learning this and always get the bed to steep any advice
I just drove forward after most of the vehicle was off. 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
That works
If thats a blacktop drive way its ruined
Probably is don’t try doing it ur self thank u
Great video
Leo gracias

Good shyt 💪🏼💪🏼
Ty😂
Gave me more video please
I’ll load more videos in a few weeks
Thanks I am waiting
Excelente!!!! Muchas gracias
Gracias a ti
Might as well drag it😂 the wheel still spinning any way
Will do
The back wheels. It's fwd?
lol yes the wheels that need to spin are spinning
As a tow truck operator and owner, I would never let my drivers do this to our equipment.
Sounds good
Thanks. Buying my first truck and was thinking this can’t be good for the truck
This was dope
Pro level!
I do what I can
💪
Honestly it looks like alot of unnecessary shit which can be done alot easier
Show me the money
💪😎
Or I would’ve hit neutral and then the power button do your research works smart, not hard
Sure buddy thank u 🙏🏽
Transmission is fucked but
Bed move ment 100/100
Smooth
Klidad 💪
You skipped the main part trash video look like he still dragged your car 😂😂you caused damage
🤡
@@4775willy I’m sure you are
Just make sure you pay the car note for whatever piece of shit you drive or one day you’ll learn what a dragged car looks like
@@4775willy you sound like an angry chick now 😂 calm down Jamal we know you dragged it it’s ok ✅
Wouldn't a set of skates on the rear of the front tires worked?
