Suspension work always requires some smacking into place. Heavy, tight fitting parts & whatnot.

Heating up that center pin on the leaf springs, just to install a bump stop, isn’t worth ruining the temper of the leaf spring steel. Install the bump stop on the frame if you’re going to do it that way.
