About the show: America's Got Talent of AGT is TV series aired by NBC. It is a talent show for all sort of talents and all ages. It Usually runs throughout the summer and ends in September. Starts with auditions from major cities in the US then trimmed down to quarter finals, semi then the finals. There is also the very popular Golden Buzzer given by each judge given to contestants that put them straight to the live show.

Same here. I know what's going to happen, but still don't know how mist if the tricks happen.
I do too! What makes it special is having Tyra there to sort of confirm it all. When you see magic on television, you don't know how much of it is camera cuts and what not, but her reactions (assuming she's not just being a paid actress) lets the audience know that it really is that good.

I still remember how stunned I was the first time I saw this.
Shin was not just "a professional magician". He was a Master, an Elite.
He is a real wizard, Asian thing. Something inside of him in question thats how I know.

Rather then asking "who are you" the judges must say "thank you for coming in agt " . He is an online celebrity and doing shows from last 6-7 years .

Guli Parpieva I suppose that's there way to bring more people to agt so that Simon could become more rich. He is a great actor though pretending he haven't seen them before meanwhile paying them to be a part of the show
Ashutosh Siddh He's an online celebrity because of his appearance on Penn and Teller's Fool Us show and this may come as a shock to you, but not many people are into card tricks or magic. Not many people even know what FISM is or that he is a world champion. People like us who enjoy card manipulation and slight of hands stuff knows this guy. No one is going to know who Mike Chao is, who is one of my favorite card manipulators.

Ashutosh this is a wrong argument. He is known to you, not everybody. I never knew about him until AGT. Those who likes watching Magic should know him but others may well not. So judges may have not known him before. Besides, everyone in the audition round should be treated fairly, thus asking “who are you/what’s your name” is more appropriate. You are being bias.

Simon said they had a terrible card magician a day before so when he first saw Shin Lim his first thought was "oh no not another one" but Shin proved his first impressions wrong pretty quickly :)

I often try to pick things apart to try to figure them out. With this act, I can watch it over and over again with a smile and for its pure entertainment purpose and enjoy his slight of hand skills.

fantastic. It's a perfect magic show, and the expression and movement are comfortable. The choice of music is also very good. This should be one of the most impressive performances I have ever seen. I can't see his movements at all. It's amazing!

Magic works best with as many eyes on you as it is all about distraction and theatrics. It is much more difficult when it is just one person vs the magician

I got to see Shin Lim on Penn and Teller Fool Us and other stages years before AGT, and as soon as I learned he was going to be on it, I knew he was going to crush it and go very, very far. I told my family they had to watch this guy, and sure enough they were blown away just like everyone else! 😅 Now I didn't know he was going to win the whole damn thing, but I knew for certain it was a strong possiblity, and anything less than a top 3 finish would've been robbery. 😎 Very happy for him!!
