I bought xtreme 160R special edition 1 year back and it is still the only colour variant motorcycle I see on pune roads. It feels unique for me to ride uncommon motorcycle
Today my Triumph dealer told me that Bajaj and Triumph are working on a motorbike for the 300 to 500cc market. Not much is known yet so lets see what comes is his story.
Bro! Nice review.. I have one small doubt.. I have confusion in between Apache and hero.. because hero Xtreme is with kick starter and self but Apache and n160 is having only self start. So which one is better? Kindly suggest me..
You have missed out the primary difference between RTR and N160, that is the former is a 4 valve engine while the latter is 2 valve engine. Therefore RTR is better at top end performance but the latter gives a more user friendly low end performance and thus feels more punchy, smooth and effortless in day to day use.
sir i am confused among apache 160 ,N160 and hornet 2.0 ....My requirements are 40 to 45 millage ,comfort for long rides, low maintenance ...any suggestion? (i am more interest in hornet 2.0 ...should i go for it?) plz suggest
I am from Belgium, so my question is why the different classes in India. 160, 200 and so on. Is it a better choice than what we have here in Europe based on HP ?
Mainly because fuel efficiency/mileage, affordability. People in India ride more than people in Europe. for people who cant own a car, a motorcycle is a necessity as a pvt mode of transport and these buyers are price sensitive and stress more on mileage. 200 is more than enough for most people, above 200 is a luxury in India and another thing is, speed limits in India are lower and you don't get goods roads everywhere like in most places in Europe so all those higher CC and extra HP can only be used once in while if there aren't cameras else you get fined for over speeding. 100-200cc- more sales, 200-1000 less sales compared lower CC.
It starts from 100cc and goes up(100, 110, 125, 160, 200, 220, 250, 300 and above), based on your budget you can pick a motorcycle! 100+ cc motors offers more mileage while big motors offers safety such as ABS and better suspension.
Indian bikes are different from the European bikes in many ways. Some 125CC bikes for Europe like KTM Duke 125 (The only 125cc engine guess sold in EU as well as India) have same performance as 150-160cc bikes but costs significantly higher than some 200cc bikes which in the makes them meh. Xtreme 160r is worst in built quality & fit and finishing , lighting is also weak , engine cowl should have given.Unsatisfied customer of Xtreme 160R 🙋🏻♂️😑
N610 Dual Abs should have been released with front/rear LED turn indicators with Bluetooth and navigation would make it top class in this segment. It is the safest bike to ride. Honda sucks and bowed to TVS and Bajaj!
Ugly ugly ugly is what these companies gives us..why can't they make better looking bikes.. just because they are small displacement bike doesn't mean they have to be made ugly... For instance, yamaha could have brought the XSR 155 's body design with a fz features, bajaj could bring triumph's trident660's design with Ns160 features, Hero use to be hero honda, so they could have brought in Honda cb150's design with hero extreme's features.
Would you buy the Bajaj Pulsar N160 over the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the Hero Xtreme 160R? Do let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
Only if you giveaway it!!! I think for power apache!!
