I test rode the Husqvarna sm701 super moto last week. That is hell of a bike.... Plenty of fun and decent power, but I think I'll stick to naked sports bikes for now. I like watching different bikes get test rides, so cool upload bro... Take care
I would love to try one of the bigger super Moto's on the market, I love the idea but couldn't see a use case for myself to own one at the moment. Thanks for the comment!
Wait till you get to ride one when it's jetted and got the air box mod done and some exhaust or gut the factory one pretty fun after that different bike
Can confirm this. I have a 2017 and my buddy just bought a brand new 2022 and it is SO much faster than a stock drz. Jetted, airbox mod, slip on exhaust, and a taller rear tire. Definitely makes the bike way more fun and the responsiveness is amazing!
I have never ridden the KLR, I know people that own them and they are significantly heavier so the extra power doesn’t do much for acceleration. But they are durable and can handle cross winds on the highway better than the smaller bikes.
Sweet video, it was cool to see a new DRZ from a rider perspective. Gotta love those square mirrors & headlight HAHA. What brand/bike do see as the main competitor for the street hooligan/supermoto rider?
I’ve ridden the Kawasaki 300 Supermoto, it’s probably the closest in terms of current competition. The more I’ve thought about the drz the more I think fondly of it. It’s a great little bike, I wish I could have taken it on a more interesting route to really get to know it
The choice of factory road oriented supermoto isn't that big nowadays. It's the KLX 300 SM and DRZ 400 SM and the 690/701/700 which is one bike in different colours...
His shifts are good. My bike had slightly rised idle RPM and after I had it dialed back to stock my shifts became bad coz I was letting off the throttle too much.

1:42 pure happiness 😂
I have a MT 10SP, but have veen thinking about getting one of those as my second bike.
Not letting off throttle when you shift, bike doesn't have a sequential quick shifter my guy... Smh lol

I was there that day and the bike I wanted to ride
I read your reply about the 300 SM. Have you been on a KLR 650? If so, what'd ya think?

I think the ktm 350 excf is also a decent competitor, better off roading with the ktm and a little faster too!
The ktm 450 excf is basically the better drz400sm but like 4ish thousand more.

😍
I think you’re supposed to let off the throttle when you shift

I bet that stock seat got you so sore lol
I don’t remember it feeling to bad, but I’m used to pretty firm seats on my bikes.
I love drz🥺, but drz sri lanken price 😮🥺
