  • Hey everyone!
    It's been a while, I'm sorry! I've been working on several projects behind the scenes and I can't wait to share them with you in the next few weeks.
    I 3D printed an air intake body and then made a mould of it for carbon fiber. Very happy with how it all turned out, let me know what you think!

    Looking at this, it looks super easy. But i know there is probaly atleast 20 Work hours and it toke atleast 4-5 days to make the mould. Keep up the work mate.

    thats an amazing mould, did you use one layer of the grey high temp gel coat? very good tooling as well.

      I’ve used one layer of gel coat. One thick layer. 👊🏻

    Do you ever have problems with eg160? Like cracking of the gel coat after a full pulls.
    And do you ever have problems with trapped air using Chop stand? As it doesn't wet out very nice.

      Yes I had some problems like that.
      Make sure your gel coat is tacky before applying the resin and fiber glass mat.
      You have to take your time with it. Cut the mat into small pieces and build the corners, edges and layers using plenty of resin. Hope that helps! 👊🛠
