I've been loving my 23 Grom and hope you love yours too, they are pretty fun. I got the full Yoshimura exhaust on mine and it is louder than I thought it was gonna be, its like a mini Harley. I met another grom rider in my city, a cool old guy said he has a 22 with the full yoshi and a intake and his will do 70mph . I can still only get mine up to 60, maybe a little more if I went on a longer road. Its a law in my(MN) state, that if no other cars are around in any direction, and you have waited a long time you can just go because you wont trigger it.
O really? I should see if Florida has any law like that. It seems that once you do an aftermarket exhaust, intake, and then an ECU reflash is when you see the big performance bump.

Touring around in various parts of American cities is nice but it would be better if you folks would add in what it looks like when you are sitting on a bike such as the GROM. That would give us viewers a look at how we might fit on a mini-moto.
The Grom and the Kawasaki Z125 are made to be light, fun, bike to ride. I had a 2019 Z125 and loved to ride it. You can throw them around so easy. I currently have three motorcycles which brings me up twenty bikes in my short life of 3/4 of a century years old. My last bike is a 2023 Hayabusa that I regard as one of my favor. That said, I plan to add a Grom to garage this year.
Good day to you! I am a grandpa rider on HONDA Cross Cub CC110 from Japan. Enjoying camping ,touring and upload video. Your Moto video is so nice! Awesome! Full supported ! Have a nice day my friend!
GROM GANG!! 🤣 I missed this video. But I'm so excited that you have one of these!! I think these are such cool little bikes though, so compact, cheap to maintain, cheap to run. I also love the ride along video. I hope you're still enjoying it 7 months in! These and the Monkey are such economical and wonderful little machines.
Congratulations on Your new Grom! Be sure to follow ALL the instructions in the Owner's Manual regarding "Break-In" for Your bike!! Once Your Grom is fully & Properly "Broken-In" & the "After Break-In" requirements & Engine adjustments are completed,(Valve adjustment, engine oil & filter change of the "Break-in" oil; etc.); Then You can ride it as Normal Operation...
After the warranty is over; Then Youcan do your own mods; (Change front & Rear sprockets for higher top end, quicker pick up; new muffler, air filter, etc.) But while it's under Warranty; ride it as it is..
Was gonna get a current gen Grom as a second bike, but will NEVER pay nearly double the MSRP because of taxes and stealership fees! I still thoroughly enjoy the 2014 Ninja 300 that I bought for $4200 with only 2k miles when purchased. Since then it's got nearly 20k miles, seen multiple states, averaged almost 70mpg (has gotten up to 81mpg), and has experienced 120mph several times. 0-60 in 4.5 isn't bad for a slightly-modded lawnmower sized engine! As much as I want the Grom, paying more for a 10hp bike than a 47hp bike is insanity! I'll have to find a used '22 or newer after the crazy market calms down. Sad, I hate buying people's used, oil-starved wheelie practice drop-drop machines! You seem like a great person, and I hope you enjoy your cute li'l Gromlin!
You don't buy and rate a bikes value by the horsepower you don't do it with a car either there's all kind of people that have bikes with 150 to 200 plus horsepower that have groms in their garage too, some people try to use and rate bikes for something they were never designed to do
@@billwaller4094Friend, I partially agree, and I still like the Gromlin. But as great as it is, horsepower still costs money. A new 200hp monster always costs more to build and buy than a new 47hp machine, likewise a 47hp pint-sized bike compared to a Grom. Nothing is EVER worth more than MSRP to me, but especially something under 10hp where MSRP is already excessive compared to the cost to manufacture. They can only charge this much because people are foolish enough to pay more than it's worth- due to all the internet hype! I just purchased a black heater for $60 less than an EXACT SAME red one- because the red one is pumped-up and rated so highly on internet reviews! Black matches my Forest Green house better, I would've chosen it over red if even at the same price. I'll buy Grom when all the hype dies down, it'll still be the same great bike for $thousands less. Still Friends!? 😁
The bike was designed for skinny Japanese people and kids under 20 yrs old. They do make longer mirrors. Changing gears will increase speed yet slower off the start. Flash the ECU, and you'll gain 15 horsepower. Air intake and pipe maybe 2-4 horsepower gain. Lose 30 pounds and ride naked smearing your body with lard will decrease wind resistance and increase terminal speed.
You should have tried spreading some lard on the top of your brain when you were in school if everybody thought like you did, they would say you need a three-wheeler with a crash cage all the way around it and flashing the ECU is not going to get you 15 horsepower All these internet experts crack me up
The one mile that you had on your odometer came from the mechanic’s test ride that is done, after assembly to insure that the motorcycle is safe to ride, before they send you away on it.
I purchased a 2023 in May and have already put a thousand miles on it as of yesterday. I put a Chimera intake, Istunt Amazon exhaust and an ECU tune from DHM motoring and can do 70 comfortably all day long. I am 5'7" and 140lbs. This is my first bike and there is honestly nothing better to learn on or just piddle around town. Stock Veerubbers are terrible and I want to slap some Michelin City Grip 2's on or Pirelli Angels, not sure yet.
Some states like wis I know if your fairly certain that it is a sensor light and you are there for more than a min and there's no cars waiting with you. You can legally slowly proceed. Check your state laws before doing it in your state.
Someone wrote this, "Just adding an update on my 22 monkey. Honda acknowledged this is an issue with a batch of 22 groms/monkeys. i just got those mirrors i think they are the same but my right throttle side moves with the throttle wondering if yours does the same thing from the video it doesnt look like it. wondering ig=f you have a tip to stop it from roating with the throttle
Ya mine did the same. I added a few small washers to bring it out away from the throttle. It will make the mirror able to wander a bit but it at least won’t move with the throttle. I am going to try some lock washers as spacers soon to see if I can prevent the slight movement. (Only moves with some pressure)
I just bought the same mirrors they came in today haven't put them on yet. By the way they're from red dog cycle. Have you tried to lock washers with any success? Thanks
Unlikely is not impossible. Having only a relatively few number of viewer means that there are a number of locals around him that know how to find him.
Not sure if you care still but your plate is still exposed in the vid. Just watching to gain some knowledge from people who personally ride theirs and aint super pop. Just know your vid was great to watch from the vibe you give.
Yeah but there’s pluses on a GROM that some people prefer. Maintenance being one. Grom’s ridiculously cheap to maintain. They’re air-cooled so there’s no cooling related maintenance which is HUGE on bikes. So if you just have a bike to cruise around and not take on trips, a GROM is a huge plus, when it comes to saving money in the long run.
@@VPR1589I completely agree! I do all my own maintenance on my 2023 grom, and it's super cheap, and easy to do. 4,000 miles and still going strong. I also get 118 mog, I'm 180, and I'm 6' 2". Tall, lol.
I'd like to see someone try to grab my phone. Ccw carrier. They wouldn't make it far. I have 24 friends that can run faster than them. And they leave holes.

at around 31:00 let the clutch out a bit and pull back in and then shift back. Usually does the trick if rolling doesnt work.
Figured that one out on my monkey as well. Just lift the clutch lever until just before the bitepoint and it'll take the gearshift.
