@@nellieallen1433 If you want a mid life crisis bike... this is a soft bike for that. If you can't afford a 911, then at least go for a 600 sport bike but if you're 100% new, you can go the 400cc style route and get a N400, R3 or my fave KTM RC390 which is what I started with at 44 I think.

The Grom is a fantastically fun bike to ride. In the car world we'd say its better to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slowly.
The Grom epitomizes that kinda mantra.

Groms are da bomb! I bought a 2022 with ABS, after watching your review from the bike you used from Huntington Beach Honda. I am loving my 155+ mpgs. Stay the course. And thanks for the footage.

@@PetroHead If you had any influence with Honda, I would love it if they were to bring the CBR250RR to the US with the white rims and white body and silver body with the blue accents. IMO, it is the best-looking motorcycle they make. Currently I own four Honda motorcycles. If they were to release that here, I would buy it 100%.
It’s the same bike as the 2020 model, so yeah, I’d say it’s still worth it. I have 2024 model and loving it. Can take it anywhere. I took my drive sprocket to a 14 tooth and get around 120-130mpg. I’m 230lbs.
Had a 2019 GROM. Used it to learn how to ride. Love the GROM. Wish I had the space to keep it. Last gen looked better, though… in my opinion…

Been daily riding my 2023 Grom for about a month now. Absolutely love it. Couple of “power” mods to wake it up a bit and it’s the perfect daily commuter bike.

Anyone having issues with the transmission making noises on long rides? That's the only thing that has kept me from buying one since the 5 speed came out.

so I was told for a beginner bike to get a 250cc the grom is a 125cc rite...what's top speed
Depends on rider weight but your going to be around 60/65

@@T25deI’m 230lbs and with the stock gearing, I got mine up to 74mpg. I’ve reduced the drive sprocket so that it can get UP to speed quicker, but now I can get around 62-64 for absolutely top speed unless going downhill.
Like the new plastics but it still needs bar risers, a bride seat and the ever present waste of metal the exhaust need the recycle heap. Have the z125pro in turqoise and it’s a lot of fun but I think the plastics give this the look I prefer over the last two iterations. Be fun to build up another mini moto it’s not like they take up space

There is no upgrade mini bike this is the pinnacle. Unless you meant buy a real motorcycle in 1 year. This is not a motorcycle it’s a scooter that looks cool.

@@stevenjackson5541It's classified as a motorcycle, it says so in the title and dmv. It has the engine in the center, unlike a scooter.Therefore, it's a motorcycle, just like the Honda 50 was many years ago.
It's a mini motorcycle, that's true, but a motorcycle non-the-less. Larger bike riders hate to be associated with them, but it is what it is🤷🏾♂️.
Edit: Just took a peak at your channel, and it confirmed what I said about larger bike riders not liking the fact that the Grom is a motorcycle. Besides, the Grom isn't our primary bike most of the time, we own larger bike too.
I can confirm at the press event that the Grom is usually a second bike. Honda knows its customer base very well.
@PetroHead I could definitely see it as the best beginner bike out there. It's something I would buy my son when he turns 16 and is able to drive legally

It is more powerful if you’ve lost weight from the previous years. But if you’ve gotten fat, it’s less powerful.
im sorry man just my opinion here , and ill start by saying the groms , any year are fantastic bikes that are for a very niche crowd. if you just want a fun reliable mini bike, your just learning, or need an efficient commuter it will serve its purpose . but if you have the intention of going full koso , 4v, all the upgrades and tuning costs, then the 5 or 6k, or even 3 or 4k for a used one, can become so expensive for a mini bike that for me it removes the fun from it. personally i bought a clone brand new 1200 bucks, stripped it down, replaced all the hardware with grade 8 stainless parts, motor swapped it to a 4 valve daytona 212 (about 28 hp sea level) , custom exhaust, replica ohlins front and back ( its very good much much better than the groms factory units) . i have about 4k in my bike, it will do 85 mph gps, it comfortably cruises at 65 to 70 , has been reliable, and its very easy to work on. its a very fun bike, and its more fun knowing i only have about 4k in the whole thing. now if i went out shopping for a real grom, it would cost me almost exactly what i spent on my bike, as i would spend on a nice stock grom with 10 hp and a 4 speed. and if i wanted the new one with about 12 hp, it would cost me a cool 5k all day . i would have to spend 10k on a new grom, to make it perform like my bike does that i have 4 k in,, and the thought of putting 10k+ into a mini bike just makes me cringe, its not fun anymore in my opinion getting that far into it. if you cant work on stuff, have no mechanical ability , never used tools before, and just want a nice mini bike, get the grom. if you want to build a near 30hp mini bike tho, then either be ok with spending over 10k on a grom to do it, or just get a clone , treat it like a kit bike, and build it for far less than the cost of even a used grom. like i said just my opinion.
What is the maximum weight you can have on this 2025 honda grom?
Unsure what answer your looking for exactly but I've got a 2023 grom and can still hit 60mph fully tucked and I weigh about 240

I still think the gen 2 is best looking grom
4 speed is superior and here's why. No reason to have an extra shift just to end up at the same top speed.
It’s for fuel efficiency.

Interesting bike but pricing is 2x in Europe making it unreasonably expensive for what it is.
It shows that you don't have a grom, in Europe everything is more expensive, not just a motorcycle
The Honda Grom is a 125 cc motorcycle of the highest quality, does it seem expensive to you? You don't know anything about motorcycles, buy a Chinese motorcycle of terrible quality and don't talk nonsense.
Basically a small supermoto.
Last couple years, the Groms had a gear bushing issue. Cb300r also had transmission issues. Maybe it's a small percentage of bikes and hopefully Honda fixed the issues with 2025 bikes. Do your research and buy a Kawasaki 😅
Probably needs heavier oil than the recommended 10w30.

@@pedrojoseismael I know that Honda does stupid things sometimes, yes. Air-cooled engines have always used heavier oil in high temps; Hondas aren’t magically exempt from high temps causing oil to thin-out.

My 2017 Grom started bogging and losing power out of the nothing. Then I checked my air filter (it was normal), spark plug (normal), and valves (normal). I looked at my fuel filter and it was disintegrated completely. I ended up changing it, but the bogging issue was still there. Then I cleaned the fuel injector and it got better but still bogging and losing power in around 6k rpm.
Is it happening or happened with someone else?
Yup, same thing happened to mine. Needed a full rebuild. Paid $1,360 for parts and labor. Good luck.

@@KevinLam86there was oil starvation issues if you wheelie a lot but they had aftermarket fixes and I think they made it OEM on some later models .
I have heard of any engine issues other than that myself. Sort of new to groms so take that with a grain of salr
