Fantastic! Thank you! So many times I buy shredded lettuce and I've left them in the same plastic they came in and they have to be gobbled up within 3-4 days or they turn soggy! I was about to give up on my summer salads! This is just great and I cannot thank you enough sweet lady! God bless you for your help!
You need a TV show just showing tips! As soon as you asked the question do you wanna save your salad greens for a longer period of time, I was hooked and shaking my head yes! ❤
You are so right! Every time I get those big container of the organic lettuce and spinach I immediately put a paper towel in the bottom and one on the top and then I rotate them in the refrigerator and every few days I'll add a fresh one same idea same great result good show
Yes. It works. I learned the rinse water stands on the greens, drains to the bottom and causes wilting and odor. Also, boiled eggs need to have the water drained off them, each day, because the water drains to bottom and causes bad odor, after a few days. I have not tried paper towels with the eggs; might be better. Thanks, for the info. Blessings.
gorgeous hair says a lot about you a woman with wisdom this means a lot to me because I'm always throwing the bottom of my greens out I shall try that paper towel method thank you 😊

I do that now. I also wrap radishes in small bunches in paper towels and put back in bag with twist tie. They stay wonderful. Wrap your full carrots in paper towel about 3 or 4 in each bundle, put bundles back in carrot bag. No rot. Wrap your celery in tin foil as soon as you get home from store. These tips have helped me make my veggies last so much longer. I also put my completely made tossed salad in a plastic container and top with paper towel. Change every time you get some salad. It lasts so much longer. Moisture is what rots your vegetables. Paper towels absorb it.
My grandma would come back to smack the back of my head if I used that many paper towels.its bad enough that I pay extra to have cold fast food delivered.
Hahaha! The paper towels should be just damp after using them that way. Just lay them out to dry out afterward, and they should be fine to use again. If not for that, use them to wipe grease out of a skillet, or from your hands if you've been massaging cornstarch into meat for a stir fry, or whatever.
