The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is leaving Xbox gamepass but that's not necessarily a bad thing. In this video I'll explain why this is a nerf to cheaters slash SEO hackers and also why it probably means the game is headed to PlaySation Plus in the near future. All around some interesting News.

Why are you defending this decision? You say its a positive to remove the gluesniffers and kids, but 4.6 million people have it on gamepass.
If you subtract them, the already ludacris queue times will become even more long on TOP of the balancing issues, trolling and dbd players invading the game trying to make it competitive.
They constantly add maps, modes like the museum mode (Which I like personally due to it basically telling the player about the production of the game and movies), and new characters(that you can't earn you have to pay for, wtf), yet they'll decide to just take it off gamepass...removing a big chunk of the player base.
And you're okay with that? Seriously? Don't get me wrong, I would like to buy it but it's not worth its pricing point. 40 dollars and you have to buy skins, extra characters, and if rumors say right...a BATTLE PASS?
That's shit a free to play game would impliment.

Also 4.6 million having it on pass doesn’t mean there’s 4.6 mil ppl playing. There’s like 1000 ppl that logged in the last month, way to try to make it seem like 4.6 mil playing it and will be losing access 😭

GUN instead of keeping the promise an implement a level increase cap with unlockables, or fixing the game / lobbies, continues to release usless overpriced cosmetics. for a game thats leaving gamepass, its a bold move to think that people will buy the base game and look at almos $200 of content and buy that too. its crazy.
I love the game but the devs are just ridiculous. They left the game broken for weeks/months, wich already made many people quit and now they removing it from gamepass? I dont see many people including myself, buying a messy lobby simulator. Hell nah. Seems like they really wanna kill the game entirely. Really sad, this could have been such a great game for years but they fckd it up real bad from the beginning until now.

Playstation plus isnt what will save the game. Playstation plus is how you get a BIG payday. Essentially, PS Plus is like a loan for a game, a big cash injection you can only do once.
Gamepass helps with game health at the cost of not selling much to xbox/PC players and should be done WAY later after the release of the game. PS plus is a booster, doesn't help with longterm game health, but can Kickstart a project or give the studio it's last big payday. The move should've been to go ps plus a couple of months after release and around 4 months ago, bring it to gamepass. They went backwards and after that month of ps plus, they're gonna have to support themselves off of game sales. Gamepass is that safety net games need when they don't sale much. To burn that out so soon and burn these bridges when the game is probably at its most stale is a terrible idea. The game is gonna spiral after that ps plus month and probably dies out afterwards

I feel like you're constantly giving Gun credit where frankly, they don't deserve any. They're not particularly financially savvy, that's why DLC prices are what they are (which the people who pay for them will continue because they'd buy anything TCM puts out.)
I'm not sure this is Gun's decision to leave games pass, nor am I sure Playstation Plus is what they have lined up, nor do I think Playstation Plus is going to have a net positive effect on the game (example: Evil Dead the Game.) I don't think you have any evidence to suggest this is the case either. However, there is rumors that Xbox is hitting a hard spot because people aren't purchasing games as much anymore, this could be one of the many things they're cutting back on, prioritizing bigger names for games pass because thats what will drive more sales for the service now that the price is increasing. I have no evidence besides for rumors to support this though, but I have been on Xbox for about 10 years and like, it honestly makes more sense to me that Xbox is cutting back on unnecessary Games Pass expenses in general rather than Gun Media being financially savvy.
Gun Media as a company succeeds solely because they know people will always buy their stuff, not because the stuff they put out is a good deal financially or good in quality. If you remember how THQ used to be, this is what a modern example of it is.
Maybe Gun needs to go bankrupt like THQ to learn how to be financially competent. THQ was nearly dead but they got another chance and since then they've been doing pretty well for themselves.
Agreed. Gun doesn't deserve credit at all, they're about to make Friday the 13th a coffin at the end of the year. They'll probably do the same to this game 5 years down the line when no ones playing it anymore instead of renewing the license. The only thing they care about is money. A typical business ofc.

the main reason I play it on the Xbox was just because of the Game Pass, well I guess now I've got to go and buy it now l0l. And there was a lot of people playing TCM on the Game Pass, I'm pretty sure won't be many people buying it.
I mean it's always on sale for cheap it's 10 dollars on psn rn plus idk why you'd rather not owe something if you like it some much never made sense to not owe something anyways plus gamepass adds up over time but nobody ever thinks about that
@@Xh20islitXIf you think about it you already pay monthly just to play online, it just more convenient to pay a little more to have instant access to the game on top of your monthly membership. I don’t think I’ve ever seen TCM on sale for Xbox like I’ve seen over on PlayStation and Steam, a 20% discount is not enough to get people to buy the game before it leaves I’m afraid. I think if Gun wants to salvage the player base they should do a bigger discount sale after it leaves so folks can get it for 10 dollars like on PlayStation.

Once removed from GamePass, they should do an October Sale where the game is around $19.99 to get some of the GamePass players back. Then keep implementing new characters, while trying to find the right balance in Buffs/Nerfs.
Yeah nobody is playing 20 dollars for this when it was as low as 10 on PlayStation and Steam.
It needs to be cheaper. It already has sales for far cheaper than $20. If anything it should be $5 in a Halloween sale. If $10 and $15 isn't doing anything for the game, it needs to go cheaper and if that doesn't work either, the devs need to just cut some loses and make the game free to play.

$5 sales are what gun used to temporarily juice the playerbase on friday the 13th. And it worked, temporarily.
I really don't get people not wanting to buy the game after it's removed. I really don't think they are genuine fans of the series. The original Texas chainsaw massacre is one of my favorite movies ever and I love the rest of the series. I pre-ordered the game the second I could even when I had gamepass because I truly love this game and the series.
Gamepass users seem so upset and they seem to care so much about this change but apparently they don't care enough to buy the game or buy it when it's on sale. This game has one of the best and worst player bases I've ever seen.
I know that the dlc they're about to drop will fire and the game will be just fine as always. People have been saying this game wouldn't last more than 5 months but hey it's still here. Sure it might not be in the most ideal state right now but I have a really good feeling about the upcoming dlc. Keep doubting

I’ve been playing the game since day one of its launch, bought all the DLCs or at least most of them. Now, I’m kinda doubting the game because most of the player base comes from Game Pass, and if you take them out of the equation, well... it's gonna be a lobby simulator. It already happens sometimes even with the decent amount of players there are. I’m a bit sketched out about dropping another 40 bucks on a game with so much uncertainty
If you only play on gamepass, you're not actually a fan of the game or dumb seriously like people who invest in game pass is really stupid not only are you paying to play but buying dlcs its not a surprise that its coming off game pass alot of games do so if your not willing to buy on sale or game pass deal then you actually the problem

If the developers truly want this game to succeed, they need to pull their heads out of their asses and listen to the community. these new characters should be straight up free for everyone maybe locked behind the content pass for two weeks first. cosmetics/skins should be the only source of revenue. this new content should be on the back burner until the game is in playable state.

Most likely not. As a former cheater, the cheaters were there cause with game pass they can create a new account for free and keep on cheating. Without that, they would have to literally pay for the game once their account is banned, not going to do that.

It confuses me a bit when you download a game from the PS+ store the game is yours to keep for as long as you have PS+ I thought Gamepass was the same way.
It’s slightly different, instead of a few games every month Xbox gives you access to all available games. But the available games shuffle, some go out others get added, it depends on if the developers or publishers pay to keep their games on the service
You can keep the games, on the plan of : games with Gold or something like that

@@Nakatomicultist Because Devs choose to remove from gamepass. Greedy Decision #1. Then they follow it up with a battle pass announcement which is mid at best (1 Victim, Family and Map in 6 months??) Greedy decision #2. Still no real sale on Xbox for TCM yet. This may change so tentative greedy decision #3.
ALL while we still have insane balance/queue/lobby issues. I'd say it's insulting.

@@Nakatomicultistthe difference between dbd and tcm is that at least dbd has a consistent schedule when they release content. Tcm is literally like evil dead where they update the game whenever they feel like it. So why buy tcm when its future is really questionable? At least out of the two games, buying dbd seems like the smarter move.

The queue times are already outrageous. Having less players, "gluesniffers" or otherwise, will result in longer queue times.

rather sit in the lobby for competent teammates than have bubba waddling around without a revving chainsaw leaving all the doors open just to have a 4man escape and then sit in the lobby again for the exact same experience next game.

On the bright side, even if all those people leave, i have a weird feeling all the weird dbd douchebags tbagging at the exit, bullying killers (whys that even POSSIBLE in this game lol?) will just stick with dbd instead of buying it......i hooooope.
I do feel like gun is getting their shit together kinda. Just needs to be a little more stuff to balance things out.
(Id make it so that theres a much higher baseline amount of xp for matches, make grappling lose effectiveness the more you do it, lock the players in the basement with leatherface for a set amount of time. (Maybe the exit gate shorts out, sets off an alarm and immediately closes, which is what alarms the family in the first place to something weird going on, though itd just be a weird electrical mishap that ended up leading to the survivors being looked for. It also could tell them where the exit is from the getgo to help noobs. ) i also HATE choose fight, but....i feel like the OPTION to do that is pretty crucial to keeping the game interesting. I was thinking maybe you could use bonescraps from the front on killers (after being hit once or twice) the drawback would be that you'd only be able to carry ONE item (maybe 2 shivs based on balancing) so it would make roles more defined. Id like there to be more of a focus on locking out killers than just running from them. I dont know how theyd do that. Maybe you could brace against a door to keep it down? Itd tell other family members where you were and also slow you down but itd make things like barge interesting because youd never know if it would give you an edge or just result in the door being rammed into you first barge. Also the potential for leatherface to instakill you if you block a door he starts sawing (there could be a sort of mind game here. Will he try to slam it open or just cut it down?) I think itd be cool if they gave survivors more health but made them move a BIT slower too. Something that would add up over the match but wouldnt make fleeing impossible. Thered be a lot more damage dealt by being caught in the open BUT youd also be able to survive more hits (which would encourage killers to run stamina, i never do.)
Also id make stealth boost crouch movement speed.
And make it so that savagery does more damage in grapples, endurance makes you take more stamina and have a higher chance of injuring the victim and blood gathering would make them loose a bit of blood during a grapple. All of this based on level. I think itd be smart for some family members to focus on attrition victories where they focus more on bleeding victims dry instead of just beating them to death.

So long, good riddance, i stopped playing over a year ago, pretty much when they kept buffing killers but wouldnt fix their broken survivor perks. Plus, Johnny being able to track your footprints infinitely is ludicrous.
