    I compared these two against each other and went with the HD450BT headphones because I preferred the build quality, comfort, eq adjustment in the app, extended 2 year warranty and by far most importantly, sound quality! The Sony's battery life is slightly longer at 35 hours versus the 30 hours on the Sennheiser but I was more than happy to pay the extra $20 for the HD450BTs. Both were on special EOFY prices down from their retail AUD$299 prices and I'm very happy with listening to your excellent comparison on my Sennheiser HD450BT headphones!

    Great review!! 1 item I found to be helpful (if it matters to you): the 450BTs can connect up to 2 Bluetooth devices at the same time (ie: computer and phone). whereas the CH210Ns can only connect to 1. That was the deal decider for me to go with Sennheiser!!

    I’ve seen so many reviews and the Senn’s seem to get good marks in durability of construction, sound quality and ear comfort. Which is all I’m looking for in headphones. After that it becomes about prices and branding. Spend money on priorities first. 😊 Godsreview NorbReviews 👍🏼👍🏼

    Hi Norb, you are the most underrated person doing these reviews, you have great knowledge and you know what you're talking about, lots of love from India ❤️ and can you help me choose between two headphones 'sony wh-ch710n' and 'Sennheiser 458 bt', the 458 bt's are 25 dollars higher than the sony, are they worth the money and are there any better headphones in the 100-150 dollars price point? Thanks!

    • @NorbReviews
      @NorbReviews  3 года назад +2

      Hi Shrey, thanks for the kind words! This really makes my day.
      As for recommendations: The 458bt is an updated version of the 450bt with basically a new coat of paint, so while I haven’t used the 458bt much yet, it’s close enough to the 450bt that I feel comfortable making a recommendation.
      Between the CH710N and the 458bt, I generally like the 458bt, even at a slightly higher cost: it charges faster, can handle more codecs, and I think is more comfortable and has a better default tuning.
      The CH710, however, is no slouch: it has a higher impedance, which means it has potentially better sound definition (although you need a 3rd party EQ to really take advantage of this). It also is MUCH better for calls, if you’re going to use it for that, and has better active noise canceling (at least when compared to the 450bt).
      You won’t go wrong with either, but I found with the CH710N, I had to use ear pad covers for comfort. (My niece also has these, and she finds them just fine, so it very much depends on the person.)
      If you want an alternative, check out the SoundCore Life Q30 or Q35. I have the Q30 and it’s my favorite headphones under $100. While the build isn’t as great as the CH710N, it sounds just as good to me, includes an EQ (if you go this route, I’ll share my settings with you), has decent microphones for calls, and I find it MUCH more comfortable. The noise canceling isn’t as good, but it’s not bad, especially since you can get it for $69 (or about ₹5085, I think). Honestly, I think it gives better value than both the CH710N and 450bt.
      Best of luck, and let me know what you decide!

    Great Video loved it. Here in India Sennheiser HD 450BT costs 80 dollars more then Sony WH-CH710N at present, but during sale they will be on same price range.
    As there is no sale for that extra 80 dollars extra i can get Sony WH-XB900N
    so which one to choose?

    • @NorbReviews
      @NorbReviews  3 года назад +1

      Assuming both the XB900N and the HD 450BT are the same price, I’d probably go with the XB900N, mostly because it’s more comfortable. (It feels a bit like the XM4, which has less clamping force and just feels better.)
      The sound on the XB900N is also more bass-heavy by default, but you can use the EQ on the Sony Headphones app to tune them to get sound that’s just as good or better than the HD 450BT.

      Yeah, it’s fine. If you watch my video on the CH710N’s, you’ll see I really liked them, but I do make 2 recommendations (which you can see here: ruclips.net/video/Zq4RjnWWC2U/видео.html)
      1. Get either different ear pads or ear coverings.
      2. If you can use a 3rd party EQ, do so: you’ll get much better sound.
      Otherwise, I really enjoyed them and think they’re worth the cost. But try the headphones first without both of those to see if you like them as they are. They’re not bad, and you may like their default more than I did.

    • @NorbReviews

      Definitely planning to move in that direction, but probably not the Nothing Ear(1). That one doesn’t resonate with me. (I pay all of these out of pocket, so I stick to what I personally find interesting. Now, if someone gives me a test unit to try, I’ll totally do it.)
      I’m still trying to find my footing with TWS’s, to be honest, which is why I haven’t really started with them. But they’re in the cards for the future.

    Hi Norb, Thanks for this detailed video! Can you please suggest some wireless headphones with better noise isolation for calls and office meetings? (

    • @NorbReviews
      @NorbReviews  2 года назад +1

      Hi Pradeep! Thanks for watching.
      My first recommendation for office meetings would be a headset rather than just headphones: that microphone voice isolation is always good for people listening to you.
      That said, this is actually a tough request!
      - Good sound
      - Good mic
      - Wireless
      - Under $200
      - For work (so I’m assuming something that looks somewhat professional)
      Honestly, the first place I would look is at eBay, for refurbished headsets, preferably something refurbished by the manufacturer, not by a seller. Immediately, I’d look for something by Jabra, like the Evolve2 85h, but careful because that one is expensive brand new. (The 65h would be good, too, but I wasn’t in love with the sound for music.)
      After that, I would look at gaming headphones. These offer a good balance of noise isolation (although maybe not active noise canceling), microphone, and in many cases, something that’s low-profile and which looks decent on camera. Logitech immediately comes to mind (the G Pro X gaming headset), as does the Razer Blackshark v2. (If you’re ok with wired, definitely check out the Sennheiser PC38X.)
      If that doesn’t work, consider just picking a pair of wireless headphones and buying a separate wireless mic. I’ve seen some (for example, this one - amzn.to/3NeyxGo) but I’ve never used any like that, so I faint make recommendations there.
      I hope this helps.

      @NorbReviews  10 месяцев назад

      Hey, Golfaddict, Thanks for the question.
      Both are good options, but I lean more toward the Edifier at this point for 2 reasons: better sound and better comfort. I’ve been testing the WH700NB, so I can’t speak for the 950 directly, but the 700 are a lot more impressive than I expected. (The only downside I’ve seen is they don’t have a 3.5mm jack, but the 950 has one, so that’s a non issue.)
      I hope helps!

    Hey! I wear glasses and I heard the Sennheiser one is a bit uncomfortable if you wear glasses. Is that true? Also do you think it's better to go with sony 900 or save money and go for xm3?

    • @NorbReviews
      @NorbReviews  2 года назад

      Yes, it’s true. Their clamping force is very high when compared to Sony (or most headphones).
      I really like the XB900’s because of their ridiculous bass. If bass is what you want, get the 900’s, no question. But the XM3 give a better overall sound, especially with the EQ tweaked some. Both are excellent.
      I have the Sony XB910N’s and they’re my favorite Sony headphones as of now. (I haven’t tried the XM5 yet.)

    In India, currently both of these headphones were available for $80 approx. Not being a bass head ever and wanting clean sound I always preferred sennheiser. But owing to my bad luck, sennheiser's price has increased back to $130 in just 1 day and now I am regretting why I did not purchase these at $80.

If not, check out the SoundCore Life Q30, which I feel generally sounds better than both of these, and normally sells at $80US. I think the Q35 are on sale now, too, for about the same price.

      Sony Xb910N all day long. More comfortable, better noise canceling, better sound (after EQ’ing), and the bass isn’t even a comparison.
      If you’re OK with refurbs, Secondipity has them on sale on eBay for $100. It’s how I got mine and I don’t regret it for a second.

      Hey m3rc3r888, unfortunately that’s not one i think I’ll have time to do. My apologies.
      I will say, though, that what the JBL really advertise heavily is their bass. The HD 450 BT is not very bass heavy, even when you max it out using Sennheiser’s EQ. The CH710N doesn’t have an EQ, and although it’s more of a consumer tuning, it’s not very bass heavy without some major EQ’ing from a 3rd party source.
      I have a pair of JBLs-the Project Rock UA headphones-and I really like them. If they’re anything like those, I say enjoy the JBLs.

    • @NorbReviews
      @NorbReviews  2 года назад

      OK, so I don’t own the 458bt, but the 450bt is pretty much the same thing, especially when it comes to codecs. I just tested my 450bt for latency on my iPhone 13 on RUclips, with a movie, and with a game. The videos both synchronized well, and I don’t think there are issues there. The video game had some strange issues, but I couldn’t tell if this was the game or the headphones.
      Because the 450 (and probably the 458, since Sennheiser is very good about this) use the latest version of AAC available when they were made, and because Apple products do so well with AAC, and because the headphones use good components, I’m pretty confident that you should be OK with them. Again, my tests here were NOT exhaustive, so my advise is limited. (My gaming is limited to consoles and single-player games on my phone, so if you’re asking because you play MMORPGs or Battle Royale games, then I can’t properly advise you. My apologies.

    If comfort and sound quality matters, which it should over call quality, then the Senheiser is the clear choice.
    Whooohooooo .... better sounding mic vs better sound quality? Mic / call quality carry the same weight as sound quality? No way! Audio quality first.

    • @NorbReviews
      @NorbReviews  Год назад

      I agree on the comfort and sound of the Sennheiser. But the importance of the mic to you will depend on your needs. If it doesn’t matter, that result can be discarded. If it matters a lot, then it should be considered. I make a lot of calls, so that matters to me, but if you don’t, then it shouldn’t. Ultimately, the buyer needs to be the decision maker.

    • @nielkotze

      Thanks for your reply. I made a typo in my reply. I meant that audio quality should always carry more weight than mic / call quality. I'm not going to make calls with the headset.

      For that price difference, get the Sony. The biggest complaint I had was the ear cushions and sound. You can buy replacement cushions for cheap, and an EQ app will take care of the sound. The Sennheiser are not 200€ better than the Sony. For that price difference, I’d just look to find a discounted Sony XM4 or Sennheiser PXC 550-II.
