After getting stuck in a small airport in a foreign country and no way to charge my phone, or electronics, I knew I needed something like this. Bought the Baseus, and it does exactly what I need it to do.
Got 2 of these. The first one sent was dead on arrival. The second one I got worked once and then stopped charging itself. Cheap build quality. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a power bank
my same exact story, avoid this company folks.
just received a dead unit. I wish I'd seen your comment prior to ordering...
I have been reading the restrictions of the airlines and most of them will not allow more than 2 power banks of 20,000 mah each, therefore although there is a 30,000 mah power bank if you plan to travel by plane do not buy it because they will not let you take it/they will get in trouble. And yes: the real capacity of a 20,000 mah power bank is 12,000 mah, and a 30,000 mah one is 18,000 mah (you still have to subtract a bit due to inefficient power transfer between two devices)
As far as I know, it's not the mAh that's the problem, but the Wh. I travel with an imuto 65w.
The maximum allowed on a plane is 100Wh. Mine is 27000 mAh 3.7v which equals to 99.9Wh.
No problems from my experience.
Edit: I forgot to explain why I was talking about other power bank.
Just check the voltage of the 30,000 mAh if it doesn't cross 100Wh you are good
I have the 45W output version of it -- was like $41 on the bay. Very nice. I've done some rundown tests; and I think the rating is accurate. Also note it only charges itself at ~18w, but it will charge devices at 45.
You didn't cover it in the video (which was good as it goes) but can you charge the device whilst charging other units from it?
Turns out to be incompatible with my Thinkpad (t495). For some reason it remains at 5volt and doesn't switch to 20volt, so the laptop rejects it. It won't even work when the laptop is off. The equally specced AC adapter from them works fine though. Pretty sad about it, because the laptop's internal batteries could really use the help.
What a bummer, I'm looking into buying this one for T480. can you confirm that the issue is not on the cable? Also what powerbank you end up using on your t495?
@@gelomorn I've used a very good cable, not some cheap one. The cable also worked fine with other sources. I never ended up buying another powerbank, but sometimes I use my ecoflow powerstation instead, which works great, but is kinda big. The powerbank does work well with my work-laptop (a HP) and I have the feeling there problem is also partially caused by the T495 specifically, as it's Lenovo's first AMD T-range laptop. Chances are that it'll work fine with the T480 or any other model.
Got one but all the cables i have do not put out enough power to charge my steam deck... any suggestions?
You have to get a USB C cable rated at 100w.
Just bought one of these things it’s been charging for six hours and it’s only at 40%. How long does this thing take to charge
Buy a USB-C cable with a wattage display on it. The cable will tell you how much wattage is getting to whatever you are charging (in this case the power brick).
I wish you tested how much it can charge a Mac from 0% ish.
Does this baseus 65w 20000mah power bank have low current mode for charging earbuds or smartwatches?
You didn’t test the one thing that means to most on all battery reviews, actual mah.
True, most burn off is 20% avg. I suspect this might be more. I've just bought one and got it on sale for 20 bucks. We will see...
Thanks for the video!
3 hours to charge the Macbook is as fast as it takes to use up the battery. So that means it won't charge at all when you're using the Macbook?
it would be more helpful if you measure the power input and output with a USB power meter, and also use it to measure capacity.
I used mine once and now when I plug it in to recharge it only flashes the number 5 and doesn't seem to be charging
hmm, I charged the bank at 100% and after 8hrs have passed i went to go charge my phone the bank read at 70%. is mine faulty or broken? or maybe I'm not using a right charger to recharge the bank?
They are cheap power banks. Read the comments on this and you will see a ton of people have issues where they are DOA or have issues charging after a very short time
@B A mine have been doing good. I just had a very low watt charger that's why the battery depleted quickly
Thank you for your video..
I have it. Using it for SP 404 MK2 ❤
Did her cover how to actually charge the unit?
Is this compatible with charger of realme 65w?
Explained very good
Help i bought this exact power bank but after charging my "iphone se from 2016 the 4 inch model" now its behaving on its own and im getting random ghost touches after a while right portion of the touch screen is not working. ps. when i plug the power bank it randomly get disconnecg from charger and reconnects.
Very informative video. Thanks.
I'm coming from Ravpower, are these reliable and are there model with power USB CONNECTION.
Great review covering all relevant points. I just bought one using your link. Thanks
Do u need a 65 w power block to charge it or can u use any charger
It charges at a max of 18w I believe
Can i use it as ups for my router?
Does it turbo charges the pocophone f2 pro??
Glad I picked this up for ten bucks
Nice!
Only 10 bucks ??? Which country is that lol
@@korkufilmleriscarymovies2283 america got it from a store that buys return containers and shipping containers they put all the merch on tables in boxes and have certain days that have dollar amounts. I got it Thursday so each item was ten bucks no matter how big or small it is
I've found all kinds of expensive stuff from it
Hello.. Please tell me there is a Baseus power bank for 30w from a type-c outlet. will it give these 30w to xiaomi mi 9t pro phone which supports 27w charging? As I understand it, only through the appropriate Type-C to Type-C cable by amperage. I tried the 3A cable, it doesn’t write Mi turbo Charge, but just fast charging ... Will the cable change the situation, for example 5A?
I actually bought one before watching this video. It's only fast charging, not the mi turbo charge even if using other cable. Mi Turbo Charging should work straight away if you're using the cable came from your phone to this powerbank.
I bought one. Stopped taking charge out of nowhere. After a week fighting Baseus awful customer support, they sent a second one. The second device never charges to 100% never did the first one. I just do not use it , I'm afraid this cheap power bank will damage my devices.
Im sorry you had a problem with this power bank, I still use mine to this day without any issues.
Yeah I went through 2 of them. The build quality is awful on these.
Please can it power up Hp Elitebook and keep it running ?
Will it charge my iPhone 12 Pro Max fast from the usb type c port?
No
Good one ace
Is it normal for it to drop to 0 amps from time to time when charging my phone using the USB C cable that comes with it? It says it's fast-charging but it hanges around the 1.2 A, then dips to 0.5 A, then goes to 0 A and goes right back up to 1.3 A. I thought it was suppose to be like at 3A. Is it faulty?
no when the battery gets more juice the amps drop its physics
but you use the word juice...so smart @@Drive582
Since it has auto power on, does it work with low current devices like raspberry pi?
Many powerbanks turn off on these devices mid operation or does not power on at all.
Is it safely usable for a keyboard requiring 15v, 2.5A?
37.5 watts to power a keyboard?
Does ur keyboard have a GPU or something?
does it last for a long time?
Does this power bank support power passthrough? Can I charge the bank while powering multiple devices at the same time? Thank you.
Yes it does support pass through charging allowing you to charge the bank and your phone at the same time.... I purchased this from Amazon and I suggest you read the reviews before buying I didn't do.... it has terrible reviews because they use some trickery math advertising on the box saying it was 20,000mah/65w and in fact its more like 12,000mah as listed on battery... company is dishonest read reviews for yourself I'm not sure if this was a paid review
@@BB-jq6ek It also shows 5000 on the back too, returning mine today.
@@BB-jq6ek 85% are happy on Amazon. What bad reviews did you read? one or two doesnt mean its bad. A powerbank is always less than its stated mAh. Its impossible to run at 100% efficiency. This one averages 90% efficiency which is pretty good. Thats just physics but nothing dishonest.
@@BB-jq6ek 12000 mAh when you charge phone because 5v output 20000 mAh only if output is 3.7v it's not only baseus feature every powerbank have same problem)
Ahhh, amp X volt = watt… so revealing this info shows it’s no where near as advertised. Of course the devices need compatibility but my iPhone 13 max will take 27w with the right charger. This PB lists 9v at 3amp. This equals 27w.
Yes but it can also do 20W at 3A = 60W (Laptops). Just because your phone only needs 9V is not the fault of the Powerbank.
@@paulneedham9885not sure what I was thinking. Just looked up specs. It lists 20v/3.25amp. So 65w.
How much power bank take charge time?
Will it Charge a OnePlus phone at the full 65 watts?
GQ tbh.
Nope, only 15W power delivery. It doesn't have WARP charge.
I have OnePlus 15W is ok. Pretty fast. Half time of WARP.
i'm interested to know if i can charge the powerbank and use it at the same time?? does it switch off output if input is used? thx
It would have been good of you tested the total power coming from the type c.. I think the 65 what is from all the outputs type c and USB at the same time.. I will just need to look online thanks anyways. 👍
Did you get any info?
@@KisameSempai yes it can do 65w but its pushing it. so not safe. gets way to hot .long term 45w is safe... i have 3 powerbanks of the same brand in 1000 2000 30000. the 3000 can do 65w long term.. and the 1000 helps extend the running time of my macbook air but the batt still goes down but way way slower and can charge it if i power it off becuse it has QC3.. my mackbooks batt is 4000 mah so the 1000 powerbank can extand the runing time of my mac from 8 to 20 hours so works good for my needs .. i take the 3000 camping
@@brookerobertson2951 but the 3000 mah is not allowed for air travel; exact?
@@brookerobertson2951 I am really interested in the 20000 mah model; reviews say it gets warm charging at 60w. Is it really hot for you?
it seems 30000 mah is not allowed in planes. 10000 mah does not output at 65w which I need for my laptop
@@KisameSempai if your laptop is a full charge then it takes like 15/20w to keep running.. and a power bank will keep it at 100% all day long. its just when it needs to charge it takes full power.. and most powerbanks get hot a full power output.. if you make a diy one then you can make it have 10 times whats aloud on a plane.. you just need to make it so you can split it in to smaller parts... thats what the pro's did back in the day with pro movie cameras.. just take a bunch of small batteries...
is the 65w compatible on phone?
Excellent
I trust it can charge a Chromebook?
It wasn't charging at Super Fast Charging 2.0 which is the 45W that Samsung Note 10+ has. Super Fast Charging is only 22.5W. So not good. The Xiaomi does 45W no problem plus charging laptop at 65W (which this one seems to do well).
Thank You for this video, I will order one 👍
hello, does it supprot warp charge for oneplus?
No
How is the Elecjet PowerPie P20 45W Fast Portable Charger, 20,000 mAH Power Bank ?
Is it compatible with the s22?
can it fully charge a Macbook from zero to 100 on single charge?
Seems like it would be close. Yes
How do you shut it off?
Dude look at the bottom 12k mah...... trust me I'm returning mine
It tells you that in the item description of you read it before purchasing you would have known.. the 20k is the size of the battery inside the device.. not the power it delivers at the output. All power banks advertise the same way. At least the company stated on the box on the power bank and online.. most other companies do not.. I have the 30k version of this but it's so big and heavy I'm going to purchase the one in this video..
@@brookerobertson2951 no they don't.... I have 4 other banks and they list the mah, not expected mah.... ubiolabs, anker, even the cheaper ones
@@phoenixzero-me7rv you're right I need to correct myself.. what I should have said as most power banks advertise the same way not "all power banks" I watch a Russian RUclipsr and had to read subtitles to his videos but he does capacity test on all power banks that he reviews. Reviewing power banks is 80% of his channel. He hasn't reviewed this one and that is why I came to this video. But I have seen so many capacity tests on so many power banks that I know what I'm saying is true. Companies that advertise the true output capacity are in the a small minority. That's just a fact
@@phoenixzero-me7rv I just had a look at both the brands that you mention. Both are advertising the internal batteries capacity and not the output capacity.. you can buy a simple USB tester sometimes called USB doctor for a few bucks and test to capacity yourself.. if it wasn't for the fact that the power bank was honest enough to give you the true capacity on the bank itself you would be none the wiser..
LOL educate yourself first ..
Powerbank battery voltage is around 3.6 V, and the device voltage that charged via powerbank is mostly 5 V, like smartphone etc, thus it is needed to convert that 3.6 V to 5 V, and factoring in convertion efficiency, which is different on each powerbank (better quality powerbank has higher efficiency) and you get the result of the "Real" mAh
In summary, any powerbank that has 20000 mAh rating on them, cannot charge 20000 mAh total of power on a smartphone battery, no matter what brand the powerbank is !
I just got it. This Baseus doesn't have 20K mAh, it has 12K mAh which is stated in the user manual and at the bottom of the powerbank. That's so bad... All though this powerbank right now... it beats ANKER and RavPower. With aluminum body, such a powerful output, also the self recharge is the fastest around. The real issue is the stated capacity. Powerbank of that weight and size should have at least 20K, but it doesn't.
That was my concern as well, but from what I was reading, and I could be wrong here, it does actually have 20k mah. The power bank itself is composed of 4 batteries connected in series each rated for 5000 mah at 14.8 v for a total of 20k mah. Source: Amazon review that apparently spoke with the company.
Every powerbank has rated capacity, and it's ok,no mater what power bank you buy: Xiaomi,Anker, Energizer, 20.000 it will 12,000 in real,30.000 18.000 in real, keep in mind.
Judging by the volume of devices that it can charge, its actual capacity is about 6500.
I bought 3 of these 1 all ready is faulty
I'm sorry to hear that, I havent had issues with mine.
Yup these are crap
total fail without having usb-c charging.
for me it die after one use.
Not good broke in 1.2 years
Mine been good for 3 years
@@Waljones8 finally a positive review

Why do you say that Travis? I’ve had a lot of experience with android and apple.
Just say you can't afford them and stfu.
I dont use Apple products and am also smart enough not to write such stupid comments. By your own comment you must use Apple as well?
