Hey! I'm the Community Outreach for HL2VR/SourceVR team! thanks for the feedback on HL2VR. Our Devs are working on for the v3 updated maps and updated gun handling. (they are also working on Workshop support so look forward to that!!) Update:I didn't realize it but workshop had been rolled out while i was typing the comment. January update has updated revolver reloading, 2 hand pistols, and the slide for the pistol and the charging handle on the SMG are now fully interactable to reload!
I'd say this is a pretty good list, the only thing I think was missing was you didn't bring up Field Intensity, which I think at least deserves some recognition. I can't wait to play the Alyx stuff when I finally get my headset working again!
Uplinked fits OK into the story IMO. Being that it is a mod, it has a lot of gameplay, but it does kind of de-rail the story of getting to the lambda complex with how much gameplay there is. That being said, it was a really good choice to put it in Forget about Freeman, because that chapter in vanilla is about 8 seconds long.
A fantastic video! It's awesome you showcased so many mods from all around the community; 2022 was truly a great year for Source modding. I'm especially happy you highlighted the mod Bivouac, as it's personally one of the most original and well-made mods for Alyx, that not many people know about.
I agree that Levitation was massively overhyped. At no point did I ever feel like it was all that fantastic. It was fun, yeah, but people were calling it Valve-quality when it was nowhere near it, and there were multiple points with some pretty egregious skybox leaks where you could just lean forward a bit and see through a huge gap in the floor or the wall that wasn't closed. From the man who made Cache, one of the best CSGO maps, it was a bit disappointing. Still great, but not THAT great.
I thought Computer Adventure was absolutely phenomenal. I don’t know why, maybe it was just the memes, but it I absolutely loved it. Anyone with Alyx should try it. You literally cook meth with Jesse Pinkman, help Tom Nook murder vsauce and get a presidential pardon by Obama just so you can get a new GPU for Russell.
Can confirm: the Undertow is pretty good, I watcheda friend play it and the combat looks real nice. [SPOILERS AFTER THIS POINT] That G-Man impression at the end was pretty good.
Honestly, this year was fantastic for Half-Life modding. Field Intensity came out for HL1, HL2VR and Entropy Zero 2 for HL2, Blue Shift and others for Black Mesa, and Levitation for HLA. Everyone got their own big mod
the biggest highlight for me was the release of jabroni brawl. it's insanity in a can with challenge pissing. follow up shoutout though to the hl1 vr mod getting released on steam though. will also note that since uplinked is made with only map logic you can run it in HL1VR.

Was expecting Coterminus to appear, probably the best HL2 beta inspired mod that i've played

11:13 your samsung phone makes it into another video!
I think the best way is just go with a small bit more water to the top and let the soil drain.
You should give Underhell a try. It was a really ambitious project similar to Entropy Zero in scope
Eh it's kinda garbo after the combat prologue thingie. Zombies bore me.
ive only just now realized his icon is Colonel Sanders

I love Goldsource mods.
Great video Colonel! One tiny note at 9:52. Bivouac is pronounced “biv-oo-ack” or “biv wack” more commonly.
I fucking love the Half Life community
You played videogame mods very cool.
Hell yeah, thanks for the list

What about the raising the bar redux?

Bro entropy zero 2 is by far the best released this year and you just kinda glossed over it
I mean what's the point in going over a mod in detail that everyone's already heard about and played?
@@PurpleColonel because you should show your reasoning why its good like you did with other mods?
@@j_boc because it's long, well-polished and fun
I don't have a vr what is in the half life alyx map
No raising the bar redux 2?
Yes

The Undertow music sounds like something from Madness Combat

The undertail mod look like a 1980’s movies or game.
