Thanks for the feedback, love to hear my videos help people....when I first started it took me ages to learn the ropes, didn't really have many people to show me along the way...lots of trial and error learning.....
@@mstrong6081 I tried to be careful not to make it too obvious in case locals like yourself didn't want it revealed to the whole world.....I know what its like to have a local spot that produces and isn't too well known - quite valuable :)
I have a few different ones - by rig do you mean rod/reel? I use a Jigging Master Shore Game (H) 9'8" rod and stella 6000 with 30lb braid for bait, or 60lb braid for lures, or Daiwa SLX20 8kg mono on a CD rods custom Graphcast 3 for bait. When fishing heavier line, its a Daiwa 30LD on a CD LB 8'6" overhead rod and 30lb mono. For the leader/hook set up check out this video - ruclips.net/video/IX7XU62w5Os/видео.html

I found where this spot is. Is there an entrance path closer to where you were fishing or only from where you walked in from the grass?
There maybe one but I haven't found it....
Great vid 👍 can you do one about moon phases?
Yeah, will have to be a bit later like in a few months time...
Nice.......
Great video. What location did you use for this example ?
A spot round Hibiscus Coast...
Do you know any good spots around Christchurch?
Taylors Mistake and Boulder Bay have some places. Check Google Earth and go have a look...
what rig do you use?

If you've made the time to find the spot you'll be the kind of person to respect it too....tight lines :)
catches sure will it's going to be a very rare occasion as this spot is a bit of a drive from West Auckland.
