- This video was super nerdy. We dug into all things performance, and what gets you the most gains. When you mod your MK6 VW diesel, what mods should you do first? This video covers that and more. If you like to dive in deep and find where to spend your money, you need to check out this video.
We spent over 2 days on the dyno making the two videos about going from the stock tune to Stage 2, then delete. There is a lot of information.

The intake is a good way to get a little quicker spool up. I'm planning more mod videos shortly. Meth injection, stage 4...We'll see what happens
I run without eco tune I have full blast no nothing and I can tell you a straight piped diesel sounds and works so much better

Hey love the video i was wondering if you would know the best way to tap into a boost line for a boost gauge for 2.0 tdi. I have a 2011 Audi a3 tdi stg 3 rawtek cr170 just cant find much information about how to or where to install one.
I tapped into the charge hose coming out of the turbo below the intake. I had to make one so I could see what the boost is for this vehicle. I actually have a turbo gauge to install on this car, just haven't done it yet.
@@SouthdownGaragethx for the information, what type of boost tap kit did you use because i can’t really find a tap specific to it, any info is great.

I’ve fitted a Ramair intake and it’s already had remap but I’m losing power when putting the accelerator down quickly it slows the rev counter down how do I fix this on a mk6 golf gt tdi thanks
Have you sent a data log to the tuner?
so their tuner is just a qpro with a different case
Summary-
Stock power: 140HP & 236 TQ
Tuned but not deleted power: Same but turbo spools faster and area under the curve is larger
No, your stock number that your referring to is crank HP&LB/FT not WHP&LB/FT.
These things stock only make 118 WHP and 206 lb/ft torque.
This car with stage 2 was making 138 WHP and 240 LB/FT
What kind of wheel/tire setup is on there? Fitment looks great

Im still not clear on when to tune the car? Do I tune stage 2 before I rip out the dpf system? Or rip everything out, then put in the tune before first start up?
Tune it before you rip everything out

You should do both at the same time, but the car will probably go into limp mode if you delete before the tune
@@patrickweser5553DO NOT tune before. You have to delete dpf and egr before you tune. This guy is dumb.

On the dyno graph the power was really wavy. Was that from it bouncing off the waste gate?
Yes. When there was no intake it would take longer for boost to build, then it would over boost causing the computer to open the waste gate, which caused the bouncing power line.

@@SouthdownGarage the stage 2 tune and eco kit changed made this a completely different car. I bought this car a few months ago and I’m so glad I bought a 6 speed because it’s a blast
I didn’t look. Do these turbos have a silencer ring in them? I’d like more turbo noise
Doing testing without the pothole delete is a waste of time. Also if you aren't running a large fan over the inner cooler, radiator and air intake none of this dyno testing is real world. A tdi's weak link is NOT the air intake.
I guess that would be different for the passats that have a liquid air intercooler instead of air to air
What are the peak numbers before and after the stage 2 tune?
In this video I explained the stock hp and torque. I also explained that after the tune with Stage 2.
I understand that I didn't say the torque numbers were.
Then say them here. What are tq numbers after?
@@shamblinsoftwashandpressur6820 hey buddy, I wanted to mention that although he showed you the stock output in the video, it's incorrect, that car is certainly low on power. All mk6 and b7 tdi's push 132 wheel hp and 226 wheel tq. After a stage 2 ecu flash and dsg flash, you will make 160 whp and 296 wtq. It is a standard tune with no variations. Those are guaranteed numbers.
@The Motivator the numbers you mentioned, was that on a dyno jet dyno?
The numbers I have is on a Mustang Dyno.
Stock dyno numbers at the crank is 140 hp and 236ft/lbs.

The worst verbalized explanation of any mod ever. The cuts are horrendous. And tune without actually doing the delete. Zero credit

Both the company the tune came from and the company I got the intake from are Canadian. Links are in the description from the east coast company that I bought from.

Yeah, I never saw an increase in power, I also did not see a decrease either.
