    • @gtf234
      @gtf234 6 лет назад +15

      It simplifies a lot of things that don't need the exact details to get the point across- like generalizing coagulant for Platelets instead of getting into all the different coagulant factors- but is really on the nose with the character designs to how many of these cells are structured and their general relationship to the body and each other. A lot of the more fun details are the ones they don't call out for explanation. Like Eosinophil- she has twin-tails and wears a pink uniform as a very subtle nod to their bilobed nucleus and pink stain; Basophil wears mostly blue for the same stain based reason. The Erythrocytes have reversible jackets for a darker or lighter shade of red depending on whether or not they are carrying oxygen (and yeah, you can see the mob RBCs are inverting their jackets as appropriate). Even extends to the antagonists too- Strep and Staph have a lot of design features to match the chains and clusters they form.

    As a medical doctor I like it mostly because of its premise and it interpretation of certain biologic processes. Also because it's cute. It doesnt hold too well in other aspectects like characterization beyond certain quirks of each cell, or plot. But I didnt get into this expecting much so as of now i am pleased. And I know the medical education is different in the US but still, enjoy your student years. Even though what comes next is more fun (and challenging). You will miss them from time to time.

    I have no medical background, and I got all the jokes! This is the show I needed when I was 12! It was when I started learning about blood in school... also last year, when I was in my last year in college and I had to learn all the types of white cells and stuff! It was so confusing with all those names, but I remember every one of them after watching each episode a single time!!

    Ok, I think that having a small screen for the video but same black and white color and no sound would work better to really understand what you are reacting to, yet not getting a copyright strike

    we enjoyed the show because its cool. we love having the I side jokes pointed out be people smarter than us. that way we can act smart when we explain it to our friends.

    people say the main protagonist girl (Red Blood Cell) is a anemic red blood cell due to her "crescent-shaped" hair coming out of the hat... that's why she got lost a lot.

    Cells at Work is for sale on rightstuff.com and it comes with a English dub. I have no medical education background unless you count High school biology and the magic school bus.

    the only medical backround I have is two medically ill parents since before they were married. I grew up watching a lot of medical procedures but never studied medicine and I enjoyed the hell out of the manga and anime. I wanna try cosplaying as a bacterum and see if any one cosplaying as a neutrophill will chase me. could be fun.
