Students, the AI tool in Google Search is currently in an experimental stage. It can give confusing and wrong answers to your questions about Macbeth or any other play/novel where characters think one way and then do a completely different action to cover up their true motivations. So, be aware of that when you are asking a question in Google. Good luck!
I cannot thank you enough. This cut my homework time in halve and now I can go on and study for my big math test tomorrow! May God be with you, and you will be in my prayers tonight and thank you again!
this is the most useful thing i've ever seen. i've gotten a B-A on every macbeth test because of this channel alone. the animations are really useful because it's like i can play it back and remember exactly what happened
Thank you for uploading these! I have been cast as Banquo, and really had no idea what the play was about. You laid all the acts out very simply and made Shakespeare easy to understand!
Banquo is a very smart, professional soldier. His gut instincts are finely tuned. He knows Macbeth very well. He thinks he can play the political game and survive. He is suspicious of Macbeth but doesn't say anything. Good luck, Adam. It's a great role to play.
I am so grateful for your videos. I teach English 12 in a small rural high school where students do not think they can read and understand a piece of literature as "long and confusing" as Macbeth. I used your videos as a quick review before the test on each act. Students really grew to appreciate the simplicity of your summaries, and it gave them confidence to take tests. In fact, they were surprised by how well they could actually understand one of Shakespeare's plays. Thank you so much.
I have a test on macbeth tomorrow, and these videos really helped me understand the play! It was impossible for me to understand the old english in the book, so thank you so much for these videos!
wow I can't even imagine all the work that went into it, it's incredible and so well done. Thank you very much! Also, are you planning on doing another play? I would love to see Hamlet or Othello or any other play really
Thanks for your comment, June Novae. It did take a lot of work to make the videos! It took a lot of work to carve the scenes down into the shortest possible videos and still remain as clear as possible. The animation part was more fun and a challenge creatively. I am planning on starting Romeo and Juliet this summer.
Hi +Barry Hurlbut I don't know how I just noticed your comment. I shot the paper characters on a camera - photos - and then moved the paper a bit, stop motion animation. I wrote the script first and tried to get it as short as possible, with key information in it, and using a basic vocabulary. That was the hardest part, really. You have to cut out some things, but I thought it was worth it, so I could explain what some of the famous quotes actually mean. Then I put all the photos into Final Cut Pro X, a video editing software and edited it from there. I would make a rough voice-over track reading the script, then rough in the visuals until everything looked good. Then rerecord the script (that will continually change) for a good copy. That's it!
Thank you so much, seriously these videos helped so much. I started reading act 1 a couple weeks back for school and i didn’t understand a single word Shakespeare was yapping about. These videos really helped my understand the play!
I'm so glad! It's hard to understand, I know, but you made it through the entire play. Good on you, @connorpowers11 I really enjoyed the fact that you used the word "yapping" in your comment.
You made Macbeth seem so easy to understand, this was really helpful! you should make more videos about literature like these, your style of storytelling is very captivating :)
Thanks so much for the positive feedback @NotProto I'm glad you found my videos useful. I am in the planning stages of Romeo and Juliet. Have a great day!
thanks so much for these videos, my teacher actually gave my class ur videos, and u explained things so well and honestly i really like macbeth. I love the idea of a protagonist that is considered a hero at first, then he becomes a villain that is corrupted by power.
I agree @SLAVRBLX123 with your comment about the protagonist that changes from a hero into a villain! I'm glad to hear that you liked the play. I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. Have a great day!
Why have I learned more in this all entire Macbeth series then all the 8 weeks I’ve been learning Macbeth , please you should be a governor who’s speciality is education because you’ve nailed this !
Thank you for your kind words @dulcineeapangande6199 Even though these videos are in simple cartoon format, I put a great deal of thought and planning into this series to make it very clear, yet still sophisticated in meaning, for all students to understand. Have a great day and thanks again for the feedback.
i havent opened my macbeth book since year 10 and exams are in a few weeks. i just watched every single macbeth video in this playlist and honestly ive never understood the play more! thank you so much
I just watched all your videos and now i understand macbeth, thank you for the hard work you put in and the humour too, overall just absolutely fantastic!
You are amazing, Macbeth is taught all over the world but only a few can explain it beautifully. Your presentation, ideas, style were very artistic. You have inspired me to think differently and in a new way. May Almighty bless you. Love. 🙏🤍
Wow, thank you! That's one of the most thoughtful comments I've received on this channel. I am so glad that the videos helped you to think in a new way. Have a wonderful day @bornalemariacosta
Thanks for letting me know the videos helped you Shirayuki Chan! It is my goal to explain Shakespeare simply, yet with great depth of understanding the human issues his characters are experiencing in the play. Good luck with your future studies.
Please upload more stuff to your channel. You are astonishing. I never write a comment on social media but i must say i am fascinated with the way you explained the play so easily. Hats off English Psycho Teacher 😎

Just finished your Macbeth series. Wonderful! I've watched a few other summaries but yours rises above them all, for me. I took Shakespeare in college over 40 years ago but haven't read any since then. I have watched Macbeth and Hamlet a couple of times but wanted, recently (who knows why), to read Macbeth, King Lear and Hamlet. So I have just started Macbeth with the Folger Shakespeare Library edition. Pretty excited. And ... all that to thank you for giving me a good overall understanding with which to jump in :-)

Thanks Mom, it was funny and calming, I could understand everything even though I am crap at English. I hope to get an A bit thats a bit over the top i guess
I don't know how much i should thank you, but you have really simplified my work , i really like this summery, its well explained plus detailed examples , thumbs up and hats off for you🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
The beauty of this is that now, when I watch a film, I will have a greater understand of what is happening. Brilliant for students studying for exams or whatever. For me, aged 80, it is purely for interest and entertainment. It has made my late-life study of Shakespeare so much more interesting. I wish there were many more of these. Thank you so very much.
your videos are wonderful! thanks for sharing them with us and taking time to reply. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing what software and device you use to make such videos?
Yes of course! I take photos of the action created by paper drawings and make sure I have enough photos to "cover" the length of the text for each section of the play. I think I used Google slides for the quotations and either put them into the editing timeline as screenshots or JPGs. I used Final Cut Pro as the editing software. It's a simple way of getting the ideas across, but it is effective to help students understand the action in the play. Are you going to create something? Be sure to send me a link if you do!

Great to hear!
I have my English GCSE tomorrow and I had no clue of the play until now, this is perfect! Thankyou so much.
No problem. Good luck.
Thanks for your comments, Ronald.
Thank you. Can you repeat with any other plays? This was so easy to follow and educational.
I am planning on doing Rome & Juliet. That play probably won't be out until next summer. Thanks again for your comments.
Thanks a lot. The discussion is very informative, helpful. Complex issues are explained in easy, simple and lucid language.

Thank you so much I understood Shakespeare's drama, Macbeth, easily because of this video.
Thank you so much for these videos it helped a lot !
your videos are wonderful! thanks for sharing them with us and taking time to reply.
Thank you so much for this it helps me a lot to clearing my doubts.
You're most welcome!
Thank you so much! You made Shakespeare so easy to understand!! :)
