THANK YOU! I have used this before, but now I am relying on it as I teach Macbeth remotely to my juniors. Your work is excellent and helping us to weather the storm.
Great to hear from you +AnnMarie Byrnes Glad my videos are helpful to you and your students. Macbeth's world was full of chaos and great change-just like now!
@@EnglishPsychoTeacher I am hoping that the students pick up on the similarities between Macbeth's world and ours on their own. If not, I'll point it out. Thanks!
O M G thank you SOOOOO much. this weekend, I feverishly watched just about EVERYTHING on youtube about Macbeth as I have to start teaching it this week. I studied it in Year 12, back in 1892.... but starting to teach it to a bunch of year 10s.. yikes. This is by far the BEST resource I've found. Bowing to the master (mistress?) ... Psycho English teacher?
Thank you! Love the explanation, important quotes, voice(lovely) and the animation OFCOURSE. Helped mea lot during my examination. I come here all the time. Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaank you
Your content is amazing, I really appreciate all of the efforts that you put into making your videos. This really clarified things for me, bless your soul.
This is so helpful! I am grateful that you put up with all of the hate comments, and still continue to post, because this is really helping me study for my final exam!
These videos are literally saving me from failing, I never thought I would be able to understand Macbeth!!!! BUT........ I CAN NOW, cause of you! thank you so much!!
thank you for this. i have to read the book for english class and can not understand shakespearean language and these videos really help me understand what’s going on and you speak so clearly and understandable. 💗💘
Thanks a lot for this video-series, it really helped me understand the play and I feel really good about my English-exam in two days ! Greetings from Germany :)
Glad to hear this! I hate to see students "suffer" with Shakespeare. I've made these videos with learning disabilities and English as a second language students in mind. Appreciate the feedback.
It's my pleasure! Thanks for letting me know that you found the videos helpful, Harley Kyng! I liked your video about your college friends. Have a great day!
@@EnglishPsychoTeacher Thank you so much for replying. It is unfortunate that you won't make a Hamlet version. I had to study Macbeth last year, and I referred to your videos and they truly saved my life. I'm doing Hamlet this year and I'm kind of having a hard time with it. I really appreciate your hard work on these videos. They're just awesome!!!
i have my finals tomorrow and i lost my macbeth book i was going on websites to learn but didnt understand anything so i decided to watch the explanation in youtube and honestly this video made me understand the concept better than how my teacher explained it... i saw multiple videos but this was the only one in which i understood properly
in this scene, Macbeth kills King Duncan using a dagger. However, after killing the king, he starts to feel bad about killing him because he hears voices in his head. However, lady, Macbeth seems not bothered because she says that as Macbeth is starting to feel bad, she says something like this deed must never be thought of and there is nothing to feel sorry for but if you continue to think about it you go crazy
That's right @samkeleprince6360. Lady Macbeth says to her husband, "What's done is done" after King Duncan's murder. In Act 3, Macbeth says, "full of scorpions is my mind" meaning his thoughts about what he's done are really bothering him.
Thank u for ur efforts on this video, helped me prepare for my essay, but can u discuss things such as dramatic irony or the role of dilemma in the play?
+Its SeriousFox Sorry, I am a high school teacher with many students and I don't have time to make videos during teaching time. Dramatic irony is any time that the audience knows something that the characters do not know. Dilemma - there are many choices and decisions made in the play by Macbeth, Banquo and Lady Macbeth.
very helpful in examination time , thanks for the summary . It is helping me to understand in a clear way and giving me another perspective of this play
(My notes) Macbeth, Act 2 Macbeth says, “I think not of them” (the witches) He says that when banquo tells him that he dreamt about the witches Macbeth here clearly lied, he has been thinking about them all the time. After banquo and his son retired to the room Macbeth set out to kill the king, but before doing so, a bloody dagger appears before him, Macbeth doesn’t know if it’s real or not. Once Macbeth arrives, he hears an imaginary voice, “sleep no more! Macbeth does murder sleep“ -act 2 scene two line 35 to 36 Lady Macbeth tells Macbeth to take back the bloody daggers, but he says, “I am afraid to think what I have done” - Act two scene two line 51. Instead, Lady Macbeth grabs the daggers and takes them back to the murder scene. She says “a little water clears us of this deed” after returning with bloody hands (act two scene two line 66) Act two scene three. - at the entrance of Macbeth’s Castle, the Porter opens the door after hearing knocks, Macduff (hero) has arrived to accompany the king. After Macbeth has led him to the Kings room, Macduff discovers that the king is actually dead, so he called everyone, including the sons of the king to the room. After the sons of the king found out about king Duncan‘s death, they fled as to not get murdered next. Macbeth has also murdered the servants that have been drugged. Minor characters talk about how the weather had turned into chaos, saying that it’s supposed to be light, but it’s dark outside. Macduff goes home instead of attending Macbeth’s coronation thank you so much for this video, it helped me out a LOT❤🎉
